Joe’s being a little sarcastic about the fourth-year edge rusher still looking for a breakout season. But Todd Bowles delivered the good news today about Tryon-Shoyinka’s nagging summer neck injury; he’s making progress and is trending toward a Week 1 return.
Joe can say the same about YaYa Diaby’s ankle sprain, as well.

Joe understands this news is sort of like saying Christmas is coming in December, but it seems the Bucs finally want to admit the obvious.
Per JC Allen of SI.com, the Bucs have decided to finally refer to Graham Barton as their starting center.
Barton has been damn near dominant in the Bucs’ first two worthless preseason games. Saturrday at Jacksonville, Barton again owned defensive linemen in limited play. Joe is guessing that the Bucs finally saw enough and decided to no longer play games with the first-round pick from Duke.
A lot of Bucs fans, when they see national media members pile on the Dixie Chicks’ bandwagon largely because of Kirk Cousins, wonder what these media types are watching. (more…)
