Another close loss. Another last-place finish. Another offseason of upheaval.
At this point, let’s just pull out that infamous Jim Mora video and imagine him in pewter. Playoffs? Playoffs? Playoffs?
A season that began in loud and spectacular fashion ended with the thud of Matt Bryant’s right cleat on a football that sailed through the uprights at the final gun.
Welcome to the offseason, Tampa Bay fans. Hope for the best, brace for the worst and count the bodies walking out of One Buc Place for the last time, led by the head coach. (more…)
Every NFL coach makes mistakes, even you, Mr. Belichick. Remember how Gronk tried to make that game-saving tackle in Miami?
But the elite head coaches always seem to be ahead of the game. They excel at time management, they put their players in position to succeed and they adjust game plans from week to week.
Dirk Koetter didn’t distinguish himself in any of those key areas, so the Bucs are moving in yet another direction with yet another coaching staff.
Koetter becomes the fifth head coach fired by the Glazers in the past decade, so here’s a look back at the man’s 7 deadly sins in Tampa. (more…)

When the Bucs trudge off the field Sunday afternoon, some players will know they’ll be back in 2019. Some will know they won’t be returning.
And a big chunk won’t be sure, either way.
Another brutal season is lurching toward its conclusion as Tampa Bay tries to avoid a second consecutive 5-11 finish. The players want to win Sunday, the coaches want to beat the Falcons, but there are understandably mixed feelings among Buc fans — perhaps even among the ownership group. (more…)
“On the road again. I just can’t wait to get on the road again.”
Not these guys.
The Bucs kept it close away from home for the second consecutive week, but let’s be honest — did you ever at any point in this game think the Bucs were going to shock the Cowboys?
