The eyes of Buc Nation are fixed on the man with the new eyes, and that’s understandable.
Not a day goes by without hundreds of Tweets speculating about the potential fate of Jameis Winston, who has had five years to prove himself as a franchise quarterback. We still don’t know the answer, and quite frankly, neither does Tampa Bay’s brain trust. (more…)

Jameis Winston’s fate was always going to be in the hands, heart and mind of Bruce Arians, and that dynamic hasn’t changed a bit.
What HAS changed is the fact that discussions between Arians and Buccaneer ownership on this rather sensitive topic have already commenced — if not concluded. Your favorite source for Buc information has learned that the Winston question has indeed been addressed in person by the key parties. (more…)

The Pro Football Hall of Fame sent me an advisory this week regarding voting for the NFL’s All-Decade team.
The Hall’s 48 selectors will soon receive ballots listing the most dominant players at their positions from 2010-2019. The announcement is expected to be made in April, close to when the 2020 league schedule is revealed. (more…)

The NFL’s 100th season had barely concluded when the Buccaneers suffered their first insult of the new year. (more…)
Joe has long written that the Hall of Fame voting process has morphed into a politics-driven mess.
The 48 voters are supposed to vote for the best players and not give a crap about anything else, including off-field behavior and weaksauce nonsense like, ‘well, this guy isn’t as good but he’s been waiting longer.'” (more…)
It’s an emotional column today from The Sage of Tampa Bay Sports, presented by Ira’s good friend Sean Sullivan, Bill Currie Ford general manager, who will personally help you get the best value on your next vehicle purchase.

John Lynch arrived in Miami with a 7-year itch.
Who could blame him?
The Buc icon and architect of the NFC champion 49ers is back among the 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It could be quite a weekend for a dominant safety who has been inducted into the Ring of Honor for two NFL franchises. (more…)
