Now, the high anxiety begins.
Before Sunday’s kickoff, Tampa Bay’s path to the Super Bowl appeared promising — beat the Rams at home and remain in Tampa all week long before entertaining the 49ers in the NFC championship game. (more…)
Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles is one of the best defensive coordinators in the game. It’s why he’s getting so many interviews for the eight (current) head coach openings. (more…)
For the first time in 19 years, the Bucs won a home playoff game (the Super Bowl was not a home game). And as a result of yesterday’s win and the 49ers beating the Cowboys, the Bucs will host two playoff games in the same postseason for the first time since 1979. And just like that season, the Bucs started the playoffs by alley-beating the Eagles! What a Victory Monday! Get your java and let’s f’ing go!(more…)
As the seconds tick by on 2021, Joe has to share the latest on the coaching future of Bucco Bruce Arians, the greatest coach in Buccaneers history. (more…)
Joe picked up bad news from a trusted source this afternoon.
Lavonte David will miss the rest of the regular season and Wild Card weekend of the playoffs. His foot injury could be a complete season-ender but that’s unclear at this time.
What makes this extra awful is David had such a great game against the Saints before he got hurt late. He recorded 3 tackles for loss, a sack and 11 total tackles before exiting Sunday night in the fourth quarter.
It seemed like David finally was 100 percent from his October ankle injury that he explained was a long healing process.
It’s somewhat comforting to know that the Bucs’ offensive struggles last night had a lot to do with one of the very worst games of Rob Gronkowski’s career.

Had it all the way. Just kidding.
Style points don’t count in this league, especially when you’re hunting the NFC’s No. 1 playoff seed. The final scoreboard read 33-27, Bucs, in overtime as Tampa Bay held off a desperate, talented opponent. (more…)
Joe and fellow Bucs fans are witnessing something very special, and it’s not just the Bucs’ 10-3 record (a new franchise best) and their stunning 18 victories in their last 21 games. (more…)
