Good news revealed on tonight’s Buccaneers-Jaguars preseason game broadcast on WFLA-TV.
Rondé Barber and Chris Myers shared that the Bucs will cut M.I.A. free agent edge rusher Randy Gregory next week and recoup most or all of the signing bonus they gave the veteran.
Gregory didn’t report to training camp and this sure sounds like the best possible outcome.
Perhaps most fun is that on the snap after the announcement, second-year outside linebacker/edge rusher José Ramirez sacked Jaguars backup quarterback Mac Jones.

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.
TV: WFLA-TV Channel 8 with Chris Myers, Rondé Barber and Dan Lucas. Other Florida cities expected to televise the game include Orlando (WESH), Fort Myers (WINK), Panama City (WMBB), Pensacola (WKRG) and West Palm Beach (WPBF). WFLA will rebroadcast the game Sunday at 9:30 a.m. NFL Network will also rebroadcast the game Tuesday at 3:30 a.m.
So the Bucs paid their quarterback $20.9 million in 2019 knowing he had impaired vision. (more…)
