“Physically, I’m Playing The Best Football I’ve Ever Played”

The anxiously awaited Josh Freeman BSPN interview didn’t air yet this morning, but the network did just play a new snippet to tease readers.
It’s a cut of Freeman saying, “Physically, I’m playing the best football I’ve ever played.”
It’s an interesting comment by Freeman. Did anyone ever question his physical gifts? He looked — “physically” — pretty darn good four years ago shaking off pass rushers and using his legs.

I seen this and i was just… amazed that he said that. I am with holding my opinion until I see the whole interview. But wow, that one little clip makes it look like he’s accepting NO responsibility for his poor play.

Mentally, he is just about last in the league. You have P. Manning on one end of the Football IQ spectrum, and J. Freeman on the the other end of the spectrum.

He lacks dedication, discipline, drive to be the best and brains. Only a handful of guys in the world have what it takes to quickly survey the field and pull the trigger and make the throw and ya can have all the physical ability in the world but until he is on the same level mentally as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady etc he will never be successful.
He doesnt sound like an NFL qb when he speaks and doesn’t have the body language or demeanor of an NFL qb. He lacks maturity and accountability plain and simple.
Marshall Faulk said it best no franchise QB misses a team photo. That’s a huge deal. That tells me that’s only the tip of the iceberg. What else don’t we know… What happened in London in 2011? 4-2 and then he crumbles. The team comes back acting strange and awkward like they got drunk and banged a fat girl and nobody can look eachother in the eye. I think it will all come out in time.
I was hopeful for Freeman but Im glad he is done here. I have seen enough. If he matures I think he may be successful down the road at some point. He needs to sit and learn behind a starter without the pressure of being the guy that way he can take a good look at himself and develop and learn.

It’s not the physical, Josh. Everybody knows about your physical talent. Your mental grasp of the game is not where it needs to be. Kurt Warner has pointed out plenty of mis-reads these past few weeks on NFL Network. Yes, you can throw the ball. No, you cannot be trusted to throw the ball where it needs to go.

I wanted Josh Freeman to be the one. I have a stitched #5 throwback. Now I have to fold it up and place it on top of my old Ruud jersey in the closet…. Might just do like a good friend of mine and get a custom named jersey. All about the team and not the player. GO BUCS!

Wonder what the chances are that we’ll do an even up trade with the Titans (Freeman for Kenny Britt)? Two 2009 first round talents that have fallen out of favor with their current clubs (and Britt was a Rutgers guy). I’m not wishing for this trade, as outside WR is not one of our pressing needs. Plus Britt doesn’t fit the ‘Buccaneer Man’ mold with some of his off field actions, but with Josh not helping his public perception with his recent actions the Bucs probably aren’t going to get better than a late round draft pick or another teams talented malcontent.

oh my god they said it on tv so it must be true….no dui or failed drug tests, things that cant be kept private, before schiano got here the only thing we questioned was his accuracy, schiano has proven to be just as big a coward. retards lol you really think quarterbacks dont miss reads like tom brady did last week or drew brees the week before…
run across I-75 one lane at a time on a weekday and see how rattled you get, its easy to criticize when your sitting on a KING CUSHION, knowing youve never played flag football before. I dont remember anyone changing up the offense for josh freemans rookie debut in a comeback win against green bay but everyone wants to dumb it down and change the offense for glennon, he’s sooooo much better why would they need to, he can make the same throws with more accuracy then why change anything?
I’m just saying this is only the beginning and this story isnt over yet….once freeman is off the roster then you’ll start to get all the juicy details

Mentally, he’s playing the worst football of his career. That cancels out anything he thinks he might be doing “physically”. He is showing the league and everyone else exactly how a professional should not handle his situation. We’d be lucky to get a football and a bag of towels for this kid.
