Schiano Not Worried About Job

In his crowded, delayed daily news conference this afternoon, Bucs commander Greg Schiano spoke about nothing but franchise quarterback Josh Freeman getting the boot and the promotion of Mike Glennon to the starting gig.
Nothing, that is except one question: When Schiano was asked point blank if he was worried about his job security, Schiano, before he could blink, blurted out a firm one-word answer while looking directly into the questioner’s eyes.
“No.”
It sort of stands to reason. Before announcing the benching of Freeman, Schiano, along with rock star general manager Mark Dominik, consulted with Team Glazer about the move, and Team Glazer was on board (apparently) with demoting Freeman.
If Team Glazer objected and the move was made any way, then Schiano would be in a world of hot water.
When Schiano mentioned it was an “organizational decision,” he means it. All the important parties both wearing suits and coaching whistles all agreed. The patience with Freeman to end his inconsistent ways had been used up.

If the team totally implodes from here he’s in trouble. Otherwise I can’t see firing a guy 2 years into a 5 year deal. At least I hope not, cause there is no chance of getting a good replacement while the Glazers have to pay for 2 coaches. Raheem redux.

I am sure that Schiano, Dom and the Glazers had a talk that went something like… this season is pretty bad, I think we can win with Glennon, okay, what if we can’t, well, we tried two qbs, I think sully just isn’t cutting it, i agree, we agree.
And as a result, the Bucs move on from the Giant’s offense and the coordinator that installed it.

He will be paid in full if he’s shart-canned. He can then become a lb coach/minion for Belicheat and be hazed by Talib & Blount.

lol. Ive been listening to him for over 15 years. I called him when I was maybe 14/15, and I didnt like Warrick Dunn couldnt average at least 4 yds per carry. He chewed my ass out. But he is who he is. Chris Thomas was just as grumpy, RIP tho.

Who cares about how much money the Glazers are on the hook for contractual agreements?
I’m on the hook for these season tickets, and I’m not getting my money’s worth! I say clean house and we all cut our losses!

Joe, you should do an article/some research into how the Giants offense is fumbling and 0-3 also…is it possible that the system is worn and defenses know how to stop it. Sully’s is a virtual clone to the Giants.

Before the draft ever took place you can believe Schiano and Dom talked about Freeman and drafting Glennon. This wasn’t something that just reared it’s ugly head this year…they knew they were probably going to have to make a change at QB and Glennon was the first step. If Glennon doesn’t pan out he’ll be a good backup. The point is, Schiano’s not going anywhere this year or next year. If at the end of next year this team does not have a winning record then he will be gone but his fate is not tied to Glennon’s this year.

Way to sell out one of your players coach. Who will be next, when you get another call up stairs. Backstabber, is what the player’s or calling you. I guess what the cut and release player’s said about you is true. Coach, you know this kid is not ready,but to save your job you will sell him out too,what a disgrace.

Do any successful people worry about things they can’t control?
Any time he spends worrying about losing his job is time he doesn’t spend finding a way to win games. Stay focused coach.
