Schiano Avoids Direct Answer On Freeman

September 12th, 2013

Joe saw this Q & A with Greg Schiano yesterday that the head coach did with the New Orleans media. Joe found it curious that Schiano didn’t answer directly about Freeman.

How has Josh Freeman performed in your eyes?

“I don’t think it is just Josh, I think it’s our whole offense.  We need to just need to be more consistent, get in a rhythm and perform up to our capabilities.  We have a lot of loose edges, frayed edges.  We have to get everything cleaned up.  And for whatever reason, it shouldn’t be, but it is and that’s life and we have to get it cleaned up and shine it up a little bit because we are not far off, but the part that we are off is critical.”

yeah the part their off is sleeping in for team photos and missing press conferences.

probably all out war going down right now at OBP. bet there’s big news tomorrow!

  2. Couch Fan Says:

The answer as to why is out there if you just open your eyes. Lol

    only 3 more games until………

official member of MGM ( Mike Glennon Mob )

because its not what Glennon can do, but its about what JFro-6pak cannot do.

    And that IS life.

Learn how to deal with adversity.

Glazers called Schiano, they said to keep cutting the cancer. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE a 2nd TEAM REVOLT of 20 something millionaires.

    Keep cutting the cancer.

  5. Chef Paul Says:

Sounds like the dialog in here.

Guy #1: “What’s wrong with Josh?”

Guy #2: “ITS NOT JUST JOSH!!!!”

  6. Splengo Says:

And why is this news? Schiano doesn’t give a direct answer on anything. Or haven’t you attended one of his press conferences? He does this by design. Drives the media crazy.

  7. Cannon Says:

Seems kinda cut and dry to me.

Other than our two starting receivers, our entire offense looked flat on Sunday.

The biggest culprit I saw was the o-line.

Word is out in the NFL on the Bucs offense… stack the line with run blitzes, prevent Martin from running anywhere, and force Freeman into quick decisions.

Freeman does not make quick decisions.

    Sooooo…

Either our line mans up, or Freeman picks his pace up.

We will find out on Sunday.

  8. George Hardy Says:

Come on, Joe-not very funny-Bucs Fan. None of us expect Schiano to give an answer to any question about his team.

  9. MadMax Says:

Man, this new job is working me a lot….cant comment as much as Id like.

It is what it is. Move on and do your best. Im still pi$$ed and hurt about sunday, but make some changes and do better next time PLEASE!

Im no Pats fan but I hope the beat the living he!! out of the jets tonight…those bastids had the refs on their side…..Ive never said this before and it will probably be the last time GO PATS, lolololol.

    And DAMNNN HELLLLLYEEEEAAHHHH!!!!! GO BUCS!!!!!!

Josh started the game with some nice passes and ended the game with some really nice passes. The difference was the passes at the end of the game (Last offensive drive) were dropped by that third WR.

I’ve been a Freeman supporter for a long time and still am but the news of him missing the team picture is not something that comforts me in any way.

  11. Rob Says:

There was nothing odd about that response, that’s standard head coach speak and everything he said was accurate. Why would he want to stir the pot by saying that the problems were all on Freeman, even if he did believe that (which I doubt he does).

Instead, the pot’s getting stirred over the sensationalist notion that he was being evasive when he clearly shouldn’t have been.

  12. Capt. Tim Says:

Josh lead the team to a game winning drive.
Took the lead , with 34 second.

Schiano lost the game. No Squib kick( which typically kills 10-15 seconds. 3 man rush. No pressure on a ROOKIE Qb.

Yeah- it’s not just josh. Why does the whole damn team look exhausted, and like they haven’t seen the playbook?

    Pretty obvious.

  13. IdahoBucsfan Says:

I’d just like to know where Joe stands… What I have noticed is that for weeks now he has reposted every negative thing that any other writer has posted, or at least refers to those posts in a way that makes the coach look bad without directly taking responsibility for the sentiment! I hope no one has forgotten just how bad our team was the last 10 games of raheem the dream… Give it a rest and trust the leadership of the BUCS for at least the rest of this year! Is that too much to ask?

  14. SeanyMac in SC Says:

Gee, JF5 was on time for the Micheal Jackson look-a-like photo shoot. He must have thought that was important.

I want the Bucs to win, and right now, there is no better option in the club house. With Josh it really seems there is something under the surface going on. Things just are adding up.

  15. GRIF4FREESUX Says:

@realist:well said, there never really was a glennon mob(because no one actually believes that he is the long term answer)it was always just the anti-freeman mob because he hasn’t done sh#t since “2010”.the freemanites started this glennon mob sh#t cuz they got nothing else to go with>LOL…
