No Intensity Change For Lavonte David

If Lavonte David cranks out another nine seasons like the one he turned in last year, the Bucs linebacker will be talked about in the same breath as Derrick Brooks. David was that good.
What’s interesting in the Monday locker room interview of David below is David explaining that his intensity level preparing for a regular season game is the same as in preseason. But then David goes on to talk about how his teammates have upped their intensity now that the Bucs are in real-game mode. Most great players operate the way David does.
Hopefully, the Bucs collectively will be able to flick the proverbial switch. (Listen to all of David’s comments below, via WDAE-AM 620.)

Not to piss on your parade TMAXCON, we could have said that about ALOT of guys. I’m just wary of one-hit/season wonders after Michael Clayton.

I think the locker room really comes together after the roster is set. It’s hard to gel as a team when you know 37 aren’t going into the season as a Buc.
The cuts must be hard to watch for the starters and situational players too.

LVD is like a dog on a bone….and the first dog to get there….I wish we could clone him and hope his play rubs off on others.
I’d like to think that we just added to “dog on bone” players in Revis & Goldson.
I’m hoping Foster & Watson come down with LVD…..

LOOK! I’m FINALLY not worried about this defense like I was all of last year. So for me personally that is a good sign. I seriously think the Bucs are going prove to us Buc fans this year that they are for real. I know pre-season has people a little worried. What if there was no preseason? What if fans never got a glimpse of some of the play that we’ve witnessed in preseason? On paper would you be pretty pumped up for the season? I know I was prior to preseason. That’s why I’m going to crinkle up the preseason games roll them into a ball and throw them in the trash can where they belong. The defense is going to be stout. If the offense matches what they did last season, our team is playoff bound. Like I said before sit back and fasten your seat belts, because this team is ready to take off.

You know I agree with you…No question on paper we are a better team….we now have an outstanding player at every position except perhaps QB & TE (both offense)
On Defense….GMC,LVD,Revis & Goldson
On Offense Nicks/Joseph Jackson & Martin
It can also be argued that we have some depth…after all Cody Wallace & Najee Goode were taken by other teams…..
That’s on paper…..we have to prove it on the field…and I think we will.
If that happens, the naysayers will slowly dissappear…unles of course you are a impotent cross-dresser from New Orleans like BucFansSuck.

I’m not a fantasy football geek, but for what it’s worth I’ll mention this. The NFL Network fantasy geeks said to take the Bucs D and start them this week.
