“Calves Are A Weird Thing”

August 1st, 2013

Eight days ago, Greg Schiano said tight end Luke Stocker had “a little calf” injury to open training camp.

It’s still around, and preventing Stocker from practicing.

“It’s going a little slower than we initially thought,” Schiano said today. “Calves are a weird thing.”

As you can see from Joe’s practice notes in the post below, Nate Byham is getting a lot of work with the first team. Hear Schiano go into more detail on Stocker at the end of today’s news conference audio below, via 620wdae.com.

Gettin’ real tired of your injuries Stocker. If we even had 1 decent TE, this bum would be gone.

Another guy drafted with ZERO injury history prior to the draft. As in he never missed a game in college and he started for three straight years. What is it with guys having no injury history and then being plagued by them once they get here. Brian Price, Myron Lewis, Luke Stocker. Even Gerald McCoy his first two seasons. I just don’t get it.

Hesitant to write Stocker off, but the guy seems like a walking Mash unit. It’s 3 years in a row he’s in the proverbial tub! Sooner or later a decision will have to be made here. But then, maybe he’s got a set of the same TMZ pictures of Dominik that Myron Lewis has!

Poor Stocker this guy just can’t seem to catch a break. On a lighter note calves can be a little weird, but then again cows can be just as weird too.
