Treating First Down Like Third Down

With cornerbacks like E.J. Biggers and Leonard Johnson starting, the Bucs must change their approach, says Pat Kirwan.
The Bucs’ pass defense is so porous Tampa Bay might need to start treating first down like third down.
That take is floated, via this video link, by noted former NFL personnel executive and former coach Pat Kirwan, now seen on CBS and heard on NFL Radio.
Kirwan says to look for “more pressure calls” from the Bucs, especially as E.J. Biggers and Leonard Johnson try to match up against Roddy White and Julio Jones. Though Kirwan expects the Bucs corners to “once again be beaten up.”
Kirwan calls for a 17-10 Falcons victory, with Atlanta staters resting in the second half.
Joe hopes this prediction is way off. Joe absolutely will hit the ceiling if the Bucs can’t rally to beat Luke McCown and the rest of the Falcons backups, if they do indeed take over in the final 30 minutes.

Penalties ! Sometimes they got a good gain, then got a false start or holding call….then it was 1st and 20 or 1st and 15…. Not good..

Freeman?
He is 100% responsible for the outcome Sunday, plays like a capable QB- win, plays like a flippin moron and looks like complete Sh!t- we lose.

If the Buc’s offense was an “engine”, then the Quarterback position would be the “oil”. Freeman, right now, is sludging up the engine.

Bucs need to lose this game to have a shot at Milliner. The Bucs need to keep Freeman he will develop into a very good QB under Sullivan. This is not the time to start over at QB. Give these guy’s a little time together.

We aren’t cemented to Free by any means. There is no better time actually with all of the newer pieces of our team only spending one season with Jekyll/Hyde.
But i do think its crucial we sign Milliner, we must lose. However I also think its preposterous for anyone to suggest that we aren’t gonna stomp there backups if they indeed do try and put them in.
