Rams 28, Bucs 13

December 23rd, 2012

The Bucs have lost five straight.

Josh Freeman is 23-32 as a starter.

The New Schiano Order has lost so much of what it accomplished earlier this season.

Joe doesn’t want to hear the “culture change” chatter and all that Schiano has done. The Bucs are playing dreadful football when it matters most. There’s no home field advantage. There’s little in the tank right now. Opposing coaches have caught up to the Bucs.

On the other side of the football, the Rams and their new regime have won four out of five games playing a lot of young players and not much in their receiving corps. It was immortal tight end Lance Kendricks’ turn to torch the Bucs pass defense and have a career day.

The Rams are yungry. The Bucs are just ugly.

Am I correct that Josh Freeman threw 4 picks today?

  2. Patrick Says:

Am I correct that Josh Freeman has thrown 8 picks in the last two games, and now has 16 picks for the year?

  3. Reality Check Says:

Quick…somebody tell me again about Josh’s potential. Not his fault, right?

  4. Reality Check Says:

He’ll be better next year once we perfect the jump ball to Mike Williams play that we ran about 5 times today.

  5. Timmer4444 Says:

If the team looks at this site it’s easy to see why they don’t get home field advantage, no ones behind em , regardless high trade pick I suppose though I’d take pride over it

  6. Fan Says:

I thought that I would never say this but it’s time to trade JOSH FREEMAN.. HOLY COW WTH is wrong with this guy.

  7. ClayBURN94 Says:

    FIRE DOMINICK, TRADE FREEMAN.

  8. Have A Nice Day Says:

This was hard to watch. Freeman looked more erratic this week than last. *Ints in the first 13 weeks…. and 8 Ints in the last two games. What the hell is going on with Freeman? His up and downs are so extreme.

  9. Have A Nice Day Says:

*8 Ints in the first 13 weeks

Can’t argue with you joe. This was bad football.

There’s so much to be disappointed with. First, it’s clear that Freeman isn’t right. He’s not seeing the field, he locking into WRs and he has reverted to forcing throws. His mechanics are sloppy and he rarely steps up into the pocket. If we have to endure another season with #5, we’d better invest in a veteran backup who can step-in/play. Second, both the offensive and defensive play calling is unimaginative and unfit for the players on the roster. To watch these CBs, week after week, line up on an island with a single high Safety will we poorly execute telegraphed blitzes has been vomit inducing. Why did we draft Barron if he’s not beign used in a position where he can clobber WRs? Right now, he’s relegated to chasing things down from sideline to sideline. Also, to not have an intermediate passing game not isolating Martin on LBs is criminal. Third, Schiano, has a lot to learn about the NFL. From the stupid crashing of the victory formation to time/situation management, he’s not quite there yet. Fourth, sure give MD some credit for pulling off a good top 3 picks this year and for pour $ all over FA this year (Eric Wright notwithstanding), but we need to see production out of rounds 2-7. Too, the overall lack of depth is cringe-worthy. Fifth, we have no fire/heart. Hardy was an animal, Sapp took it to another level…heck even in the darkest days our D had some character. There’s not a single player on this team that strikes fear into opposing teams and his own locker room. We have a long way to go Bucs fans…the wheels fell off and left us right back where we started last year…the ONLY thing that give me hope is the OUTSTANDING play of Lavonte David and Doug Martin.

  12. Capt. Tim Says:

    Thank god for Blackouts!

  13. SilenceTheCritics Says:

    @Timmer

Nobody is behind him because he hasent given us anything to get behind. So far through the first 4 years he’s given us hope but that only last for so long until the world gives up hope and sees him for what he really is…. not a very good QB.

  14. Jarret Says:

We could have an hour long conversation about what’s worse, the qb or the secondary

  15. Rajah Says:

Freeman continues to fail miserably, dude can’t hit the backside of a barn. He is just a complete joke of a QB. This was his most embarrassing performance yet.

  16. Eric Says:

    @captian

Weren’t we pushing for Fisher as HC?

  17. Colorado Buc Says:

So, the next big story is where so we draft next year…..kind of been the big December question for the better part of a decade. Still support the staff and the boys, better luck next year.

  18. Andrew Says:

Anyone remember Rob Schneider in the Waterboy? “WE SUCK AGAIN.”

  19. Capt. Tim Says:

Eric- yeah, we were. My biggest concern for this team is that they have already tuned out Schiano. Schiano has never been a winner anywhere. For him to keep their attention- he had to win,or show major improvement. For a few weeks- he did. Now- it looks just like the Last games of the Raheem era.

Why would these players listen to him, or tolerate his control freak, extreme disciplinarian ways? It looks like the NFL has figured out both his Offense and defense- and are beating them with pathetic ease.

Worse- Shiano seems to have no answers on how to adjust.

I’m sure many already have begun to believe that Schiano doesn’t know how to win in the big leagues. They may be right.

In that case- we are just wasting time til we get an NFL coach

Coaching Rutgers against Cincinnati, is galaxies from coaching Tampa Bay against Atlanta.

Maybe, as Eric and I mentioned in the preseason,-too far!
