“Just As Violent As He Was”
October 23rd, 2012
“No. he doesn’t [look a step slower], just as violent as he was before he got hurt, as far as the type of runner he is. He looks like he would prefer to run through guys, not necessarily over ’em, but run through tackles. He can make you miss, as you know, and run away from you as well. But, yeah, he looks as good as I’ve seen him.” — Bucs defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan on Vikings RB Adrian Peterson today.
The Bucs allow 3.1 yards per carry, best in the NFL.
Peterson is averaging 4.8 yards per carry and has 652 rushing yards and 22 receptions in seven games.
This should be a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

Minnesota will take more shots downfield in this game, then they have all season long. AP will be a decoy. They will pass to set up the run.
We are a better run defense than pass, so we better be prepared for 30+ Ponder throws. They have some guys who can stretch the field. Another must must win for the NSO bucs.
Miss the Tampa 2 something fierce!!

We stopped Charles, we’ll stop this fool. I’m actually benching AP this week in fantasy, and not out of homerism, because I’m starting Percy and Rudolph.

Buc O Deer , the engine that makes the 2 go is pass-rush out of the front four. We haven’t exactly seen that from this crew. But I know what you mean.
