Cadillac Wants Back In The League

Seeing Cadillac Williams in a Rams uniform last season was awkward. It also was a bit frustrating considering unemployed Kregg Lumpkin was wearing Bucs colors.
Both are now unemployed, but Cadillac told the Ron and Ian Show today that he feels great and wants to tote the rock again in the NFL.
“Still hoping maybe I get that call here,” Cadillac said.
Interestingly, Cadillac, now 30, said when he wasn’t re-signed as a free agent by the Bucs he didn’t have any sort of good-bye chat with the team. “I actually didn’t even talk to Raheem or the organization. It was just one of those things. They just wanted to move on.”
On the New Schiano Order, Cadillac said he likes what he sees from the head coach.
Joe wishes Cadillac well. There may never have been a tougher and more inspirational Buccaneer. Multiple gruesome injuries couldn’t crush his love and spirit to play the game.

One of my favorite players ever. Say what you want about his talent level which I’ll admit was middle of the pack when it came to RBs. But the man played hard and battled through more adversity when it came to injuries that any Bucs player I can remember.

Before Bucs coaches quit on Blount, he was a 1K rusher too.

Caddy was an emotional leader of the team, a great blocker, and a good 3rd down back.
He could have done what the back we just got from the Giants is doing, played on 3rd downs only.

His jersey is on my wall and it won’t be coming down ever. Guy is an inspiration and a true Buccaneer man. He worked hard, never backed down from any challenge and welcomed the load during crunch times.

Off topic I’m surprised Joe hasn’t done a post on our dramatically changed WR group. Adding Underwood, Shipley and Owusu is intriguing and completely changes the face of that position group. Joe was a big fan of Underwood and seemed shocked he didn’t make the team after preseason cuts. Looking forward to some insight and maybe some interviews.

I am on your site many more times a day than I care to admit. I recently have been not only stoping by less, but staying on MUCH less because of your very loud ads. I, like many others, listen to the radio while on the internet so I as soon as i visit your site, I’m forced to leave because of the very loud ads.

Well said,Vic. Once Graham went down, the drop off to Lumpkin was steep. Caddy deserved an extra year last year. Blount deserves a chance…period. Martin isn’t Ray Rice yet,coach. May never be,either.

It really is sickening that we paid Lumpkin (barely a warm body) to do what Caddy could have excelled at. At least Caddy would have been a threat to run the ball. It seems like he could still provide some value and possibly sell some tickets. I see a ton of fans at the stadium (on tv) with Cadillac jerseys.

Man I love Caddy, hated seeing him in another uniform, maby Shiano might take a look at him give him a work out Doubt it but I can dream for the guy good luck in trying to get picked up whoever that is will have a great player,leader,person GOD BLESS CADDY

It’s weird because I get the annoying ads on my pc but not my iPhone so that has been my choice lately, and gone more too.
I like Cadi and think he would be a good fit in Detroit to protect Stafford on 3’rd downs.

I met Caddy twice while at Auburn. He is a true star. A special spirit. Bright green eyes in the Alabama sun. He, Ronnie Brown, and Brandon Jacobs were the baddest college trio of RB’s ever! Caddy was a humble cat. Real goodhearted dude. It was clear, and everyone who knows him can see it.
We all saw it in him. Everybody loves Cadillac, its a fact. He was a true Buccaneer. He played great in 2010 as a third down back. He had BIG third down catches, breaking tackles for first downs, game winning TD catches, and some just great ‘football’ plays..
Caddy helped Josh soooo much in blitz protection. You could see he was seeing everything.
Lumpkin may have had healthier legs than Caddy in 2011. But sometimes GM’s, coaches, and fans stupidly underestimate the importance of heart and mind.
Caddy had both. He was good for the Rams last year covering for an iniured Steven Jackson in weeks 2-5.
I still think Caddy can play. No doubt.
