$30 Single-Game Tickets Gobbled Up For Opener
August 30th, 2012Joe’s been monitoring ticket sales for the Sunday, Sept. 9, home-opener against Carolina and $30 single-game adult tickets are no longer available on TicketMaster.com.
Perhaps that’s a sign Bucs fans are finally stepping up to honor Ronde Barber’s 200th start and get the game televised?
The least expensive threshhold now available via Ticketmaster.com is $45 a seat. But Bucs season passes at lower per-game rates remain available, according to the Bucs’ official website. And that is to be expected, as teams often will keep a handful of tickets aside for potential season-ticket holders or group ticket buyers at all rates.
In seven days, Bucs fans will learn whether the home-opener is blacked out. Joe sincerely hopes the community is not stained by that occurrence.
Remember, if you’re looking to save cash and start your tailgate early, you can hop on Joe’s roundtrip chauffeured luxury ride to the stadium for only $3.95.

The cheap owners only have the 5th biggest payrole in the NFL! No way will I spend a dime until they start spending!
Just kidding, but where are all the people that said they will start spending with the team starts spending? Well, put your money where your mouth is! See you at the game!!!

All I’ll say is I’m taking my flat broke buddy to the game and plant to burn $200 on the afternoon. If the Bucs don’t look competitive and halfway decent, I won’t be back for a while.

I have to fork over $250 per ticket to see them in Denver on Dec 2. Wish I was still in Florida my money would go a lot further, hell I might even be able to afford a beer.

[Not cool to put out bullsh!t like that man. Joe doesn’t take kindly to those types of lies. — Joe.]
August 30th, 2012 at 4:27 pm
Joe, it’s true according to rotoworld.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:42 pm
I’m so broke Im being sponsored by some kid in Africa.
Seriously, I will continue to go to the ones I can afford to go to.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:42 pm
No lies Joe. Rotoworld is really accurate. Not like BSPN or PFT.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:43 pm
Sorry about that Joe. Just wanted to get this thing filled out before tomorrow. Hope you can join also.

Bricen:
No news outlet covering the Bucs, nor the Bucs themselves, have issued any such information.
In fact, he is still listed on the Bucs official roster on the Bucs official website.

NJ:
Gregg Rosenthal and Evan Silva are good dudes. Just odd that they would have this information before the local beat guys AND that Asante is still listed by the Bucs on their official roster.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:49 pm
Was that rotoworld about Larry Asante being cut?
August 30th, 2012 at 4:53 pm
It does say he’s SET to be waived, but idk. Just didn’t want you to think NJBF was coming out of left field with that info.
August 30th, 2012 at 4:59 pm
Not trying to get in a measuring contest here but Rotoworld was the first to post anything about Brian Price to be traded. Also not trying to piss off the admin of my favorite Bucs site. Just figured I’d throw out there something I saw that might make some fans happy.

NJ:
Without a link (and Joe has seen the page since) just throwing out “so-and-so waived” is pretty reckless.
As always, Joe is responsible for what’s on this site. Appreciate the heads up, just adding a link to confirm is appreciated.
August 30th, 2012 at 5:15 pm
Joe,
I appreciate the feedback and apologize for any inconvienence. It was not my intention to come across as reckless. I also was not aware that we could post links on the comments board. Once again I apologize.
Go Bucs!

Joe here,
The Rotoworld report says Asante was waived, but Rotoworld is citing a source (and providing a link) that doesn’t even say he was definitely waived. Joe doesn’t roll like that. If anyone wishes to put information in the comments here, it has to be accurate when it’s an issue of fact not opinion, especially as it relates to a player’s status. NJBUCSFAN, if you simply wrote Rotoworld.com claims Asante was waived, then that would have been fine.
August 30th, 2012 at 5:39 pm
Reckless in the comments section?
I’m sure TBO.com won’t use a comment section fan’s claim as a lead.
But anyway… when are the cuts gonna be released by Tampa?
August 30th, 2012 at 5:41 pm
Actually, I prefer the source’s be referenced strict APA style.
August 30th, 2012 at 5:52 pm
Let’s all hope the home opener sells out, if for no other reason then to honor Ronde. The cheap seats being sold out already is a good sign.

Asante is a decent player. He is not upper tier and I could see him being pared off the rasta. His pits are no dreads (a must for safety- unless bald); He is only 6-0 and he’s not very fast. Ahmad Black isn’t very fast either, a little slower than Asante, but he has a nose for the ball. Truth be told that they are both better than Cody Grimm (now) but very susceptible to being burned by big fast WR’s and TE’s like Graham. The Bucs have a lot of players that could be cut without really losing anything. I like the guys so far but few 2’nd string players on the defense are worth keeping. Leonard Johnson can at least hit, but he has a lot to learn. George Johnson should make the team. Goode looked alright last night and maybe you take a chance on him, but he and Tandy are both expendable are Practice guys. Lewis is depressing to watch. and all the Oline backups after Dotson are not worth keeping, if better can be found. Ted Larson has really dropped off since 2010′. Madu shoulld get cut. Lorig is a below average FB. Watching the deep end of the Bucs match up against the Skins was depressing man. I still love the team, but of the 53 players only about 35 or less are really keepers. I still love our team and really hope our top 22 can stay healthy or Dom can pick up some good Meat off the Street.
I think maybe we can be 8-8 team, but Freeman has to wake up and pull some rabbits out the hat. On the right track for sure, but a long way to go.
August 30th, 2012 at 6:20 pm
I would definitely try to find a young RG backup from another team and trade for him. My other thought was moving Truebonehead in to RG with Dot at RT. True has to know the position responsibilities by now and he may be our best hope. He is big and strong and likely to be beat like he was at RT. Who knows? just a thought.
I think I am going to start drinking tonight and watch some college football.
August 30th, 2012 at 7:04 pm
Anyone want to donate tickets to the game to a broke college student? lol
August 30th, 2012 at 7:36 pm
Let’s hope the team shows up. Unlike the majority of home games last season.
