“I’ll Be Back”
August 25th, 2012While WTSP-TV Channel 10 sports director Dave Wirth, who was the Bucs sideline reporter for Bucs preseason games, reported that right guard Davin Joseph suffered a broken kneecap, Wirth was quick to point out that is not an official word from the Bucs.
The Bucs have yet to speak on the record about the injury.
Joseph has, well, sort of.
Joseph took to Twitter just after midnight and seemed to offer a glimmer of hope his injury may not be devastating, though he was vague.
@DavinJoseph75: Thanks for all of the support, positive vibes, and prayers. Overall, it could be worse. God has a plan. I’ll be back ASAP.
It’s possible that Joseph may not have a season-ending injury, but again, nothing is confirmed. Greg Schiano will likely have an update in his weekly day-after press conference this afternoon.

I am by no means Joseph’s biggest fan, but this is terrible. The guy plays hard every snap. His presence will be missed sorely.

I really hope he is back this year we need everyone we got to be healthy so we can be competitive especially Joseph. Get well

That’s a big loss. Sucks it happened. I seen D.Martin do the same thing to D.Penn earlier that game, looks like we dodged a bullet there. Get better Davin you’ll be missed.
August 25th, 2012 at 9:17 am
We wish you well Davin. You will be sorely missed and we will rally the troops to hold down the fort until you are ready. Don’t rush back too early.

If it is indeed a patella as Wirth reported then it’s three months including recovery time. That’s 8-12 games most likely. I hope Zuttah and Larsen have their big boy pants on ’cause they’re gonna need ’em.

Sucks for Joseph, & the team, but I’m not ready for panic , yet. I think 2 weeks of practice with the 1st team & playing most of Wednesday’s game will get Larson up to snuff. He won’t be Joseph, by any means, but he’ll be better than we saw last night. ‘Course, if Larson goes down, we’re gonna have to find a gem on the waiver wire.

This is a devastating loss. Larsen seems to have lapses of concentration. If he and Trueblood both have issues keeping their heads in the game I smell trouble. Wishing you a speedy recovery Davin. Stay strong.
