“I Kind Of Forgot Last Year”
August 12th, 2012Joe is not trying to read too much into a first half of a first preseason game, but damn, how cool was it to see the Bucs actually run the damned football? Run it in the red zone? Scoring a touchdown?
That was just what the Bucs hope to do each week, Mike Williams told Joe after the win over the Dolphins to open the preseason schedule.
“That first drive, 13 plays, that’s good, “Williams said. “That what we wanted to do. We overcame penalties and to do that [and score], it felt good.”
Joe reminded Williams of the previous season where a drive would come to a screeching halt after a penalty. Williams smiled at Joe and said, “I kind of forgot last year.”
Referring to another nasty Bucs habit of last year, Williams added, “It is always great when you score seven instead of three.”

On yet another second down play action call!

Seriously,
What drove me nuts last year was that we never ran two running plays in a row. It was always play action on 2nd down.
You guys notice the 3rd and 2 draw to Martin?
Brilliant!
Also, I noticed during the game that Doug Martin is a little dude.
It will be nice for us to tire teams down with Blount in the first half, then BURN their asses with Smith and Martin in the second half. Like a boxing match.
One more thing, Blount and Mike Wiliams seem to be in great shape!

Teachman777: Or they can do the opposite and burn them early and let Blount bring it home. Either way its an exciting time for the bucs. Great things are on the horizon.

I loved watching the game on my new HD 3D tv. I would love more to find a program that will convert the recorder game to 3D for me 😉

@Joe, it may be only happening to me, but instead of an embedded video under the “Z Code article”, I am being prompted to download the video. As soon as I visit JBF, I have to hit cancel to a download request these days. Any tech help on that?

Jonny, Joe most likely just cut and pasted the code for the video wrong. If it is not properly embedded in the page, then the browser will try to force a download.
Or Joe might have tried to use WordPress’s auto-embed feature, which may not have worked for this certain video, as WordPress only supports that feature for videos from certain websites.
If Joe ever needs any technical help with his site, AJ is only an email away.
