In four months (minus one day) the Bucs will take the field — and hopefully stop the run for a change and not get mauled in the first quarter.
Preseason game dates and times were announced today and there are no big surprises. John Lynch will remain as color analyst alongside Chris Myers, and the first three preseason games will be on Friday nights. No games are set to air nationally. All games not blacked out locally will be broadcast on WTSP-TV, Ch. 10 live.
Friday, Aug. 10, 7:30 p.m., at Miami
Friday, Aug. 17, 7:30 p.m., TENNESSEE
Friday, Aug. 24, 7:30 p.m. NEW ENGLAND
Wednesday, Aug. 29, 7:30 p.m. at Washington

Someone twittered that week1 of the schedule leaked and had the Bucs at the Raiiidersss Monday Night @ 10PM on week 1
My first thought was … Monday night … 10 PM?!?
Second thought was .. Wow .. No Blackout for the opener !!

That should be a neat trick. Getting 2 John Lynch’s calling the preseason games for the Bucs. Did you mean the venerable Chris Myers alongside Lynch?

John Lynch is the man! I am pumped to have him as the voice of the Bucs games again.
You know he is a Buc through and through right? Hes still a Buc at heart.
We did him wrong letting him go like that! He is perhaps the greatest SS to ever play the game. He is definitely top 5.
Much respect to one of our Legends! And straight up. He is a great commentator.

I hate preseaon! I wish they did a 2 game preseason with a longer regular season.. But on any note man i miss me some football! I will take what i can get right now…

Yeah … I would be shocked to see the Bucs on Monday night opening week … Just 2 season quarters ago we were down 42-0 !!!!!

The leaked NFL schedule with Bucs at Raiders on MNF has been confirmed by the NFL to be fake. Some guy in Cleveland just made the whole thing up. I wish I had that much time on my hands…

You may want use photos of players likely to be part of the 2012 team. I also found it impressive that you have a photo of the one time in history that K2 participated in practice. That is as rare as a hope diamond. It’s like owning a photo of Bigfoot.
If they find a serviceable tight end one-leg Winslow is a goner.

On the bright side the 2nd home game (week 3) preseason game just might, key word might not be blacked out seeing how we play New England. The 3rd week is usually when all the starters play the full first half. Other than that or unless you have season tickets. I don’t see why anyone in their right mind would spend full price on a preseason game, I guess unless you are rich or buy the cheap seats, although those are a pretty good deal. Preseason games should be 25-50% off regular season prices in my opinion.

I do agree that the Saints will have a bad year next year, they are on a downward spiral. I am dying to see what the suspensions will be. If the suspensions are as bad as expected then I agree they will be lucky to win 5 games with their already Swiss cheese defense if their starters are suspended. Now if the penalties on players aren’t so harsh I would say 7 wins for the Taints would sound about right.

Don’t count Brees out, I see them going into total self destruction if Brees holds out.
It is a shame for all Drew has done for NO they don’t “pay da man”.
Mickey Loomis better be BSPN’s week 1 “C’mon man” for is awesome ability to run a franchise from the top all the way back to the bottom.

No way in hell Butch goes to Arkansas. Do you really think they will hire a guy who had the same kind of ethical issues that got Butch fired at NC. Arkansas will be looking to someone with a clean slate. Why would they hire a guy who just got fired for ethical issues to replace the guy they just fired for ethical issues? Plus isn’t the reason why Butch isn’t coaching for the Bucs is so he can still be getting paid from NC?

Brees is disgruntled, the Taints are in salary cap hell, no draft pick till late in the 3rd round, no viable head coach (no true leading voice of the team), by reports the entire defense is facing punishment (suspensions?), and defense was already the weakest link on the team.
I think the Taints are in for one hell of a year.

Hope Butch stays on board the ship.
Also hope the saints don’t do well.
Brees was franchised back in 2006 and got his shoulder tore up (bounty?).
He should have TE right to refuse franchise tender and go be an UFA.
Saints got a bad rep from bounty gate, but by not respecting Brees they are a horesh!t program.
What does everyone think about Freeman winning “comeback plate of the year”? Love to see Free\GMC/ Price get it.

I really hope we get a cap casualty or two.
I feel strongly about our Coaches having a good idea/network for info on college players flying under the radar.
Really hope we can get a “Blount” type waiver this year.

You guys are out of your frigging minds. I hope I’m wrong because there cant be enough losses to satisfy me. But, come on, a one-legged Drew Brees wins at least 5 games. We lost ten in a row and still almost won 5 games. 8-8 or 9-7 maybe but it’s not like Brees is suspended for the year.

Last night I read that Matt Kalil was 6′ 6-1/2″ and weighed 306. An analyst went on to say that he was the best offensive lineman that he had ever seen coming out out college. The consensus is that he’s at least the best OL in the last 5 drafts. The upside is that he is very young and could put a lot more muscle weight on his frame and as a junior, he was inexperienced and would greatly improve with proper coaching.

I have read on this forum that he was undersized and couldn’t run block. I beg to differ.
Claiborne’s DB coach is now with the Bucs now so his learning curve has ended. He himself has tweeted that once he gets paid, we can basically kiss his ass. Hardly a Rhodes scholar.
Coming off knee surgery, TR has admitted to being slowed by injury, has seen his best days. Hardly any discussion of upside or improvement.
What is wrong with Bobby Patrino having a young, beautiful girlfriend. He is 51 years old and a successful multi-millionaire. He takes care of his family financially. Why can’t he have some fun?
Urban Meyer is a devoted family man, yet he appears to be a liar, cheater, and all around scum bag. Ohio State may get the dreaded death penalty with Urban at the helm.

LOL at the Bobby “Patrino” comment. HOPE it was sarcasm as there is plenty wrong with what he did. Unless morals, ethics and honesty don’t matter for a leader of young men……whoosh.
As I recall the preseason games are replayed later if blacked out live. That’s fine as it is preseason anyway. Still hate to pay full price for those “games” but so be it……..I guess.

Dude….some people still take marriage vows seriously. I happen to be one of them. Doesn’t violating that promise make Patrino a ‘liar’ and ‘scumbag’ also????
