Vincent Jackson May Be Heading To Bucs
March 13th, 2012Bucs fans are barely able to contain themselves with the thought of Vincent Jackson playing for the Bucs.
It appears that may just happen.
Per San Diego Union-Tribune Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee, the Bucs are about to wed themselves to Jackson.
@UTKevinAcee Told it’s not official yet, but certainly seems Tampa & V. Jackson have agreed to get married, which is what he wanted for so long in SD.
Nothing is official, but it sure smells like the Bucs are about to land what appears to be their No. 1 target.
Joe has a feeling he better break out the caffeine. Im May be a long, yet fun, night.

March 13th, 2012 at 5:18 pm
now bucs are saying they havent signed lofton urghhhh
March 13th, 2012 at 5:20 pm
If this turns out to be true then this much maligned managment has finally taken the steps to improve this team. I don’t even care if they over spend as long as they spend. It’s like Christmas at my house, NFL Network on one tv while ESPN News on the other. C’mon Bucs! Sign, Sign, SIGN!!!!
March 13th, 2012 at 5:21 pm
Per rick stroud: Bucs fans should pump the brakes on Curtis Lofton, we are told.
March 13th, 2012 at 5:21 pm
Best WR in the division? Jackson, Smith, Jones or White?
We definitely now have true depth at the WR position (if this comes true)
March 13th, 2012 at 5:21 pm
I’m sure Lofton has an agent, right?!?!….Someone from the Times, or PFT, OR LanCanfora….text him.
Or sign Tulloch.

Joe,
Great moves by Dominik. Tell Commish he has some great sources in One Buc. Thank God he is now on 1010 so we can get some real football news (along with JoeBucsFan of course).
Those three signings are great. If FA is any indicator, then we are going to have a great draft.
Also, just found this link to Yahoo Sports Twitter Tracker on Free Agency. Awesome

@AdamSchefter
In addition to trying to sign WR Vincent Jackson, Buccaneers trying to sign G Carl Nicks. Two top free agents could be Tampa bound.

SI just took the Lofton signing with the Bucs off the Peter King story. It is now blank.
March 13th, 2012 at 5:38 pm
According to NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora, the Bucs and Eagles are vying for the first visit from free agent OG Carl Nicks.
The Bucs are aggressively pursuing Nicks, Vincent Jackson, and MLB Curtis Lofton. If they manage to land the mauler Nicks, they will enter the 2012 season with one of the premier offensive lines in the league. Two Eagles beat writers dispute the report that the Eagles are interested.

March 13th, 2012 at 5:48 pm
If the bucs were to only sign one free agent and it was Vincent Jackson i wouldn’t care if it was just one, i would still rejoice!! he is my favorite free agent out there, I really want V-Jax to the Bucs!!
March 13th, 2012 at 5:50 pm
Bucs trying to sign CB Eric Wright
March 13th, 2012 at 5:56 pm
None of these appear to be happening. San Diego now trying to resign Jackson. Lofton hasn’t signed and Nicks to Philadelphia. Looks like another bungled Free Agent period. Best hope now is Meachem. Looks like 2-14 year.
March 13th, 2012 at 5:58 pm
Chicago and Washington were also after Vincent Jackson, but Miami traded for Marshall, and Garcon is heading to join Raheem and the Redskins.
The Problem may be Tampa landing Finnegan. His old coach Jeff Fisher in St Louis wants him, and St Louis will soon be a contender, perhaps even an NFL Dynasty, thanks to Bruce Allens stupidity. Bruce Allen of the Redskins traded 3 number 1 pics, and 2 years worth of number 2’s to allow the Skins to trade places with the Rams in this years draft.
Now, we need to get Nicks in Tampa !!!!!!!!
March 13th, 2012 at 6:04 pm
hope this not true he is diva and takes games off somtimes months of lazy play
March 13th, 2012 at 6:11 pm
Yes Bob, but on the plus side, he is able to type coherent and gramatically correct posts on message boards.
March 13th, 2012 at 6:22 pm
@Buddah…have you been drinking??? All these ARE happening. San Diego isn’t going to pay what V-Jax wants, Nicks isn’t going to Philly and Lofton probably is signed..just no confirmation yet.
March 13th, 2012 at 6:31 pm
LET’S GO MARK! SHOW US YOU CAN GET IT DONE!!!!
March 13th, 2012 at 7:45 pm
