“Not Going To Cry Over Spilled Milk”

The ol’ ball coach was vibing on local radio this morning.
During the interview with Dan Sileo on WDAE-AM 620, Raheem wouldn’t toss around any blame or insight into what went wrong with the Bucs, other than to say it was all on him and he’s “not going to cry over spilled milk.” Raheem said the best way he knew how to fix the losing streak was to emphasize the core beliefs — all together now, “play hard, fast, smart and consistent.”
On his you’re-fired meeting with Team Glazer, Raheem said it was an emotional good-bye.
“When you’re talking abou the Glazers, you’re talking about guys I can call and talk to at anytime. You’re talking about guys that can give you whatever you need. You’re talking about if there was a complaint, if there was an argument, if there was a discussion, they were always open to talk about it,” Raheem said. “So to be able to call those guys and have those kinds of open relationships, it’s something you can’t forget. Leaving those guys is bittersweet. Obviously, going somewhere else to learn something new is obviously going to be great for me, great for them. And, you know hopefully, we both enjoyed our time together. I think they told me the same thing in their meeting.”
On the Tampa Bay area, Raheem said he won’t be moving out of town — ever.
Raheem said he’s been coming home on weekends from the Washington Redskins’ compound and despite this weekend’s cool weather in Tampa, he was “sitting outside with no shirt on on my deck.”

Raheem is a good guy, always has been. He was promoted to a head-coaching position too soon, but he’ll be around in the NFL for a long time IMO, if not as a head coach he’s always been a good DB coach. I have no ill-will toward the man and wish him the best.

He is a good coach put in a no win situation here. The deck was stacked against him from the beginning and in typical Tampa Bay tradition everyone loved him when they went 10-6 last year and turned on him when it all started tumbling down and he wasn’t able to hold it all together by himself. He is a stand up guy that took advantage of an opportunity that was presented to him (just like anyone else would) and it turned out to be a learning experience. Hopefully when he gets another shot at a head coaching job (and he will), it will be on a more established team that’s not afraid to spend money and give him the players and coaches he needs to succeed just like the other successful coaches in the league. Classy post DieHard_Bob. Our current coach who everyone is coveting atm would have failed big time if he was put in the same situation Raheem was as well. Hopefully the G-boys and Dominik have learned their mistake and provide our new coach with all the resources he needs to win.

IMO Raheem is a good man, a good position coach who was made a HC far too soon. He had little support from the Front Office, a very young team and things got out of hand. He think he learns, grows and has a successful career in coaching. Personally I respect him and wish him the best.
Those who cannot move on and continue to denigrate him are not my kind of people, nor do I wish them to be.
It’s a new day in Tampa Bay and I’m looking forward to the draft, free agency, mini camps and beyond.

Raheem over acheived at 10-6. Even then, their was visual evidence that we were not a good team.
The man took advantage of an opertunity he was given the same as i would have. And probably most of you too. He is a good man and a great coach, well see him again.

Regardless of what most idiots around here say or think, Raheem led one of the biggest turn-arounds in Buc History in a somewhat historic 2010 with one of the youngest teams in the NFL.
It was time for a change, the players that quit are quitters and under Schiano may be Burger flippers very soon … Raheem didnt Quit.

Ditto to the previous positive posts. Nobody can question the character of the man and nobody can take away the fact that he was one of the youngest coaches to win 10 NFL games in a season.
As an aside, he was offered the Defensive Coordinator position with the Vikes but turned it down because he had already given his word to the Shannahans that he’d be their DB coach. Rah is a class act. Good luck Coach.

I liked Raheem and was impressed with his 10 win season, but last year the wheels fell completely off. He says he wouldn’t change a thing, which to me seems incredibly naive or stupid. I don’t want to knock the guy, but he needs to stop saying stupid things. If you lose 10 straight games in a blazing inferno as he did, the last thing to say is that you wouldn’t change a thing. I really wish they would just keep the local mikes out of his face, or he will continue to say stupid things and continue to be mocked for it. Thanks Raheem, I appreciate all you effort but keep you Buc comments to yourself from here on out, because I really don’t care what you have to say. You should have tried to fix it, you didn’t and your 15 minutes was wasted.

Raheem Morris is a good man that was put in a very difficult situation. He gave his all to the organization and I wish him the very best. You have to admit, his press conferences were pure comedy gold! “We’re the best in the NFC, yeah I said it!”
Just wish Dominik would’ve been sent packing with Rah.

Promoted too soon. Forced to do two jobs. Held it together for one great season, then the inevitable collapse.

I liked Raheem, but he was not given the tools needed to succeed.
He did a stupid thing to fire Pete Mangurian, the O Line coach of the 10 and 6 team, to please Olson.

so tired of hearing raheem didnt get help.fact-bucs 26th payroll.fact-patriots 23rd,saints 25th.hernandez and gronk were later round picks making 550-880k per yr.winslow 9mill per,mccoy 15mill cap value 2011 same as tom brady.gm and coach are idiots.
