Arrelious Benn Is Out
December 16th, 2011Could Saturday be the debut of the Dezmon Briscoe end around?
That’s quite doubtful, but we do know that Arrelious Benn won’t be dropped for a loss this week. He’s been ruled out of Saturday night’s game against the Cowboys. Benn was concussed against Jacksonville and it seems he’s not ready to go, so the Bucs revealed via their official Twitter feed.
@TBBuccaneers: The Friday injury report is out. WR A.Benn is the only Buc ruled out so far. DE M.Bennett, DT B.Price & WR S.Stroughter are questionable.
The Cowboys hardly have a lockdown secondary, so the loss of Benn is a blow to the Bucs’ chances on Saturday, assuming they can shake their demons and compete.

If I see one Briscoe end around I will leap from the 300 section to my death. I like Briscoe so I don’t think this is that big a deal.

Nilo Silvan is working out at One Buc ….

Briscoe has done well when given the chance I’m curious to see what he can do. Isn’t he a free agent along with straughter at the end of the year. I’m sure we will be upgrading the wr core in the off season and I doubt we keep both of them and maybe let them both walk as well. Let’s go briscoe show this team that you deserve to be on the roster next seasn

Key Matchup: Donald Penn vs. DeMarcus Ware. If Penn can shut him down for at least most of the game, then we have a shot. Ware is the one I’m scared of on the Dallas D. The last couple of games we played against the Cowboys, Penn played well against him.
If Price plays…..our chances are even better. But…..can he even stay on the field for a whole game is what I want to know.

Pretty good return man.

“Pretty good return man.”
except the bobbled punts in preseason…..his excuse….”not used to fielding punts from left footed kickers…”
this current team is triggering flashbacks of Buccaneer suppressed truama

Funny though because receivers used to say that catching passes from lefties like Steve Young was harder because the spiral was spinning the opposite way. Maybe visually it just messed with their mind…..who knows.

The FIRST person that needs to be shown the door this offseason is Greg Olsen!! He’s done nothing with Freeman and Benn, two high round draft picks we invested a lot in! He can’t get it through his thick dumb skull Blount is the only real threat we have on our offense. He doesn’t realize that throwing long passes on 3rd and 2 and throwing passes after already consecutive Freeman incompletions doesn’t work!

Patrick, on that point I agree 110%.
