Talib Returns To Practice

It looks like Aqib Talib won’t be dancing, vibing and pumping up his teammates on the sidelines on Saturday night.
Injured Talib returned to practice today with his bum hamstring and Raheem Morris was impressed, with high hopes for Talib’s return to the field.
“He actually went out and did a lot. He went through a full battery of practice,” Raheem said.
Before popping his hamstring a few plays into the Bucs-Carolina game, Talib had played his best two games of the season.
It would be quite a shot in the arm for the Bucs to have Talib back on the field. They’ll need at least a few big plays on defense to be competitive Saturday against Dallas.

For all the bad things he does I loved him on the sideline last week getting all fired up with his gold chain and what not. Man has swag and I love it now if he could only be consistant and become that shut down corner

and by the way Joe, what is considered competitive with this Bucs team ?? actually tied in the game or just down by 10 with 2 mins to go ??

To the remaining 2 rah supporters, as long as the team shows up on time Saturday night (instead of Sunday as usual) then Rah will deserve credit and “another year.”
I am confident that some of the players will forget (because rah will forget to emphasize it) that the game is Saturday and not Sunday and players will be late or not show up etc.
This organization is so rookie-league.

This is Rah speak for “he was back to his trash talking, helmet smacking, taxi cab beating, gun toting, yumbass self”.
Can’t wait to see what stupid a** penalty he gets at the worst possible time.
The Bucs need a shut down corner, instead they got stuck with a corner that won’t shut the hell up.

Does it even matter at this point? All any of us want is a winner,and erase the ugly history, I don’t care who the coach is! I want any or all Bucs coaches to succeed. (in TB)

quit hating on talib he hasn’t been that bad on the field yea he had a penalty against the bears and gets roasted once in a while but he is a top 20 corner in this league quit hating on him. Imagine if the bucs had a some pass rush more often than not or if we could stop the run or if maybe there were some other dbacks who could help him out talib would be a top ten talent. Last year before he got injured he was locking people down

@ Thomas, paying a new coach isn’t going to be a problem….If I turn out to be wrong about that and they hire Joe to be the coach then I’ll own up to it. But I have no doubt in my mind that they’ll spend some cash on a big name. Chip Kelly would be a cool choice. We’ll see.

I actually liked your idea of Tom Clements from the Packers.
But he hasn’t been an offensive coordinator. Only a position coach. Too big of a jump?

Tom Clements was an offensive coordinator for Buffalo in 2004 and 2005 before he joined Mike McCarthy’s staff in Green Bay in 2006.

@Joe…..IF we extend Raheem one year OR fire him, maybe Norv Turner as OC, and Tom Clements as QB coach?
Doubt Turner will get another head coaching job after failed stints in Oakland, Washington, and now San Diego.
He is a great offensive coach though. Won back to back Super Bowls in ’92 and ’93 with Aikman, Emmit, and the Cowboys.

One thing I do not want is a college coach (without serious NFL experience). Not to say that it can’t work, but it RARELY does. I just think it’s too big of a gamble. I think it is time to go with either an established NFL head coach, or a successful coordinator (but not one from the Patriots, they always suck). One interesting name that I am thinking is Rob Ryan. I don’t know if he would be a good choice (not sure our personnel matches the 3-4 he runs, but it worked pretty good for the Texans this year), but it would sure as hell be exciting. And just for entertainment value alone, I would be on board with his hire.

Chip kelly would be awesome! Look at the 49ers coach hes doing great.. Chip kelly took a team of really no ones and went to the BCS bowl game against auburn.. His first player selected in this year nfl draft was a 4th round draft pick!!!! Sounds to me like good coaching…..

The texans switched to the 3 4 in one season and they have the best def in the league. This team could easily do it all we need is some big bodies to play NT I think clayborn could play end so could price and mccoy. Bowers would be a beast as a stand up OLB as well. People act like it is so hard to transition to a 3 4 but it really is not

Harbaugh had NFL experience. He also played QB in the NFL. His father was a coach. Big difference. Also, Oregon was very good before Chip Kelly got there. I know you don’t see them very much in Florida, but trust me, they were very good for years before Kelly was the HC. Have you ever seen Oregon’s offense? It’s not exactly an NFL offense (and before you say it, we don’t have Tim Tebow at QB so please don’t compare us to Denver). I see nothing in Kelly’s resume that says he will be a good NFL coach. He may very well be, but odds are he won’t. Are you willing to take another chance?
