Brian Price Draws Raheem’s Ire
December 4th, 2011Brian Price marched to the locker room in the third quarter after a needless personal foul that negated a Geno Hayes sack.
So what happened?
Raheem Morris kicked him off the field, so a bitter-sounding Raheem explained on WDAE-AM 620 after the game.
“We can’t tolerate foolish, selfish penalties from our guys,” Raheem said. “He needed a day off. …We can’t have that kind of stuff on our football team.”
It’s unclear to Joe what Price did, but from Raheem’s tone of voice and response, it’s pretty obvious Raheem witnessed a reckless act.
Joe expects the whole thing will be a good learning experience for Price, but it’s still more evidence that the Bucs are an undisciplined bunch.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:08 pm
Good one, Raheem!
Why didn’t you say this same thing about Aqib Talib earlier this season?
You’re a joke. Leave town.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:13 pm
How bout Mike Sherman as HC? He did very well with the Packers from 2000-2005. He just got fired from Texas A&M so he’s available.
I think he’d be a good choice.
Bring in Mike Sherman as HC, Norv Turner as OC, and Jack Del Rio in as DC. That’d be a hell of a coaching staff
December 4th, 2011 at 6:14 pm
seriously rah?? what about talib in london???? u cant be serious telling this, be a man and back your words and acts, this is preety lame
December 4th, 2011 at 6:15 pm
Ron ryan for HC…Mike Sherman for OC….Kack Del Rio for DC.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:15 pm
and his brother Jack too.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:16 pm
Lol Dream on guys….
December 4th, 2011 at 6:17 pm
Brian Price is out there on one leg giving his all and that’s how you treat him?
Yet Aqib Talib does everything including cursing the coach out in public on the streets of London and he’s all but french-kissed to sooth his feelings.
How about throwing Quincy Black out of the game?
Raheem has lost this team, plain and simple.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:18 pm
Exactly snook rah needs to be consistent with all his players . And they try to compare tomlin and rah does tomlin team look unprepared no discpline .
December 4th, 2011 at 6:20 pm
Look at Rah going all Mike Singletary.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:25 pm
It doesn’t matter who they bring in as long as it’s not this sorry ass excuse of a coaching staff . Really Morris , now you try discipline , you are terrible . That was some of the worst football I have ever seen . Good thing they don’t have to play LSU or they would really wear a butt whipping .
December 4th, 2011 at 6:26 pm
You know what this means don’t you?
This means the days of Brian Price going out clubbing and drinking with Rah Rah are likely over.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:26 pm
You people complain about discipline and when you get it you complain even more, lol.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:27 pm
and so when he should be serious all around he quips, “He needed a day off.” Really! Here’s where an experienced HC would take the proper tone and send a message to the rest of the players. But he has to add that little quip. C’mon man! How ’bout taking the rest of the year off Raheem.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:27 pm
Scotty:
Why would Jack Del Rio and Norv Turner both take massive pay cuts to come here as coordinators?
December 4th, 2011 at 6:28 pm
Seems like an overreaction from a desperate coach. He’s got to be feeling the heat now. Hammered by the “lowly” Panthers. Newton is the truth.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:29 pm
Joe: Price stomped on one of the Panthers players way after the play was over, kinda like Suh. Very surprised refs didn’t eject him themselves.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:31 pm
@Joe
Norv Turner is gonna be fired from the Chargers. I doubt he’s gonna get another HC job. He was a head coach with the Redskins and Raiders and he failed at those stops too.
But he’s a great offensive coordinator. He coached Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and those Cowboy Super Bowl teams in the early 90’s. I’d love for him to come here.
And if we made Mike Sherman the HC he’d probably be more in favor of coming here. He won’t come here under Raheem Morris. Same with Del Rio.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:32 pm
This guy is done. Make changes and make them swiftly. The longer this goes on, the more upset the fan base is going to get. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. The D is seriously lacking and the offense is nothing more than an unimaginative rip off of Gruden’s old playbook that surprises no one.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:40 pm
The only reason Rah won’t get fired tonight (like he should), is there’s no one to take over. I wouldn’t trust Olsen to run a pee wee team, and we don’t have a DC to fall back on. They’ll play out the string, and the we better hope Brian Billick or Jeff Fisher see enough talent here to be interested.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:46 pm
Patrick:
You never answered the question — Joe knows about his history.
1) Why would these guys take a pay cut? You do know they are under contract, fired or not, just like Chucky, right?
2) Joe has stated this over and over, NO ONE in the NFL is going to come here to be a coach for one year unless they are totally desperate or Raheem gets a contract extension.
Think before you type man.
December 4th, 2011 at 6:50 pm
WE WANT JEFF FISHER!! WE WANT JEFF FISHER!!!!!!!
December 4th, 2011 at 6:52 pm
um um um…
December 4th, 2011 at 6:54 pm
@Z-buc, Does it matter who the interum coach would be? The damage is done and this season can get no worse. They should fire him now and let “real” coaches know that there is a job available in Tampa. But then again, what Joe says about a pay cut is true. And we all know how cheap the Glazer boys are!!
December 4th, 2011 at 6:55 pm
Sherman would be a nightmare.
No.
If we cannot get Cowher, there are not a lot of other options at HC.
I hear Tony Dungy is not coaching pro ball right now…
December 4th, 2011 at 6:59 pm
I’m slowly coming over to the Fire Rah camp…if you are going to have to get 2 coordinators, should you go ahead and fire the HC anyway?
I still have not seen a name (other than Dungy or Cowher) that I like.
December 4th, 2011 at 7:02 pm
How bout mike zimmer
December 4th, 2011 at 7:08 pm
@Joe
True. But…..
“2) Joe has stated this over and over, NO ONE in the NFL is going to come here to be a coach for one year unless they are totally desperate or Raheem gets a contract extension.”
Or if Raheem gets fired and we get a new head coach in here that they’d possibly like to coach under.
@Pete Dutcher
What’s wrong with Mike Sherman?
With the Packers:
2000: 9-7
2001: 12-4
2002: 12-4
2003: 10-6
2004: 10-6
2005: 4-12 (only bad year)
That looks like a pretty good record as a head coach.
December 4th, 2011 at 7:11 pm
Classic case of to little, to late
Talib’s total lack of control. Black and Hayes total lack of effort.
These are the things that Raheem let slide. And slide. And slide.
Now it looks like the entire team has tuned his unequal disciple out.
He has lost the team. They played with no will to win. They are gone, and he’s not getting them back.
To bad. They really played hard last year.
But, as I said in the spring, one bad apple!
Hope you thug lovers finally learned a lesson about live. Guys like Talib are poison. Raheem supported him, out of desperation. Talib’s continued irresponsible, unpunished bad behavior has fractured the team.
Sadly- it is time for a change. The team is not playing for Raheem, and it is beyond repair.
Wonder how Fisher and Mike Martz get along? Heard that could be a possibility
December 4th, 2011 at 7:13 pm
Price is a Warrior !! Apparently Joe thinks part of being a “warrior” is not only getting benched, but getting sent straight to the locker room . Do not pass go. Do not collect $200 dollars
lol! That “warrior” comment is looking almost as dumb as when Joe declared Blount ready to be a 3rd down back : 1 pass target and 1 drop today , in case you were keeping count.
December 4th, 2011 at 7:19 pm
Hey dumbass, you know Price is basically playing on one leg, right, with his muscles bolted to his pelvis?
Speaking of dumb comments, kudos ass.
December 4th, 2011 at 7:22 pm
Let me ask you guys this. WHEN Raheem is let go, if you were an NFL GM or college AD, would you hire him to be your Head Coach or DC? His rep has definitely taken a massive hit, which is too bad because he seems like a decent guy. Massive fall from a HC BACK to a Secondary Coach. Have to put part of the blame on the Glazers as well for putting such an inexperienced coach in charge of a rebuilding effort. The next hire is critical to get a proper staff in place that can truly develop these guys, because there are some talented players on the roster. Would hate to see their careers stunted due to poor coaching hires.
December 4th, 2011 at 7:27 pm
This is all Raheem’s fault. I blame him for the Culverhouse’s not paying Doug Williams.
December 4th, 2011 at 10:28 pm
Does Harbaugh have another brother out there?
December 4th, 2011 at 10:38 pm
6 Losses in a row, and ugly ones too, getting blown out of games, doing stupid chit, when does it stop ?
When is enough, enough ?
Hopefully, one mainstream media person will grow a set of Balls, and lead the charge for Tampa getting a new head coach.
I can see it now, on WDAE “Broadcasting live from Thee Doll House, it’s the Thomas 2.2 Show”
December 4th, 2011 at 10:57 pm
Bring in norv turner to run the O, steve spagnolo to run the D, and bring back Dungy. Game on!
December 4th, 2011 at 11:59 pm
bring in lane kiffin and his dad.
December 5th, 2011 at 12:50 am

December 5th, 2011 at 3:52 am
Adam,
Seriously, is your ‘CAPS LOCK’ button stuck?
