“We’re Healthy As We’ve Ever Been”
November 1st, 2011Time off is a good thing during an NFL season, especially when you’re a team as banged up as the Bucs have been.
Raheem Morris is one man fired up about the Bucs’ shrinking injury list, so he said last night on The Raheem Morris Show on WDAE-AM 620.
The head coach talked about guys coming back at full strength and specifically mentioned Jeff Faine, Gerald McCoy, Luke Stocker, LeGarrette Blount and Sammie Stroughter.
“We’re healthy as we’ve ever been,” Raheem said. “I really give my team a lot of kudos for buying into the next-man-up theory and maintaining and winning, making no excuses for themselves, which is great. But now we get some guys back and it should be fun to see some of these guys play. .. They’re coming, and I can’t wait to see them.”
Joe can’t wait to see these guys, either. Hopefully, Jeremy Zuttah is on the “full strength” list. The first-team offensive line + Blount should be a beautiful thing.

Hopefully Zuttah and Tanard are among the recently healed

I want to see if Clayborn is going to be in Brees face again this week. I hope he is twice as nasty with having last Sunday off.

“Raheem Morris is one man fired up….”
Maybe that can rub off on the team for the begining three quarters of the remaining season.
just sayin’….

Really glad to see McCoy back. This should be a fun Sunday with a healthy defense pressuring Brees all day. I look for New Orleans to be handful after losing to the Rams but I also think we will be fired up after losing in London the way we did. We’ve done well in the dome the past couple years. Looking forward to this match up.

I’m really looking forward to getting Stocker back. That guy could be a major steal if he can develop correctly.
Can’t wait for Sunday. 6-2 in the last 8 in the Superdome. Bucs OWN that place.

I don’t see much fire out of Raheem early in games. He doesn’t get fired up until late in games. I’ve always found that to be troubling. Either the team mirrors him or vice versa. Either way, these slow starts need to end. NOW.
