Nice to see our defense getting some credibility in opposing cities and striking a little fear into the fan base. Let’s build on that. Love it.

Last week was not a statement game, this is a statemement game. Every once in an eon the stars line up perfectly or the elements come together for a perfect storm. This is it and the Bucs must kill a mosquito with a cannon. They should try to score as many points as is humanly possible, because this opportunity will not come along for another eon. We should try to use this game to move us into the arena of the teams that the experts talk about every week. Take no prisoners. Ravage and pillage and take your place among the teams to be feared in the NFL.

Please quit calling them the dolts. Every time we get ahead of ourselves and think we are so great we can make fun and disrespect other teams we lose. I watched them give the Steelers all they could take last week and the last time we played the Steelers it was not even close. I do believe that if the Bucs play well and don’t over look the Colts we should win. Go Bucs!

Not so. The Falcons were a good team and a division rival. The Colts are outside the division and are down 3 important players, two on defense and Peyton Manning.
If we win this game (and I think we will) people will just claim we beat a currently bad team. I’ll take the win, of course, but this is nowhere near a statement game.
On a side note…the Bucs should sign the Cornerback they waived. Fans liked him so much they thought he should be the starter. Colts are trying to sneak him onto the practice squad. This is a chance to steal a potential starter calibur player.

Keep in mind the Steelers were an established veteran team on a good run. The Bucs were young and developing on a rebuild year. This is also a rebuild year, but the Bucs are starting to show a little bit of toughness. By halfway through the year, or maybe by the end of the third quarter of the season, the Bucs will be able to compete against anyone.
So all we have to do is go 50-50 until then…and hte remainder of the season will get us into the playoffs.
We’re getting better with each game.

Pete, For the Bucs to beat the Colts, a perennial powerhouse, will do more for their reputation than beating the Falcons ever will. People will not remember you for beating the bully in your neighborhood. They remember you if you knock Mike Tyson out, regardless if he is on the downside of his career. Don’t be shortsighted, aim for the big time and live among the stars!!

I picked up bucs D in fantasy football this week. I fully anticipate a statement game this week.
Expecting bugger things from Clayborn and Foster this week. I love the attitude they bring. Our D is playing angry and I dig it.

This game IS a statement game, but one of a different kind. Last weeks statement was “can you defeat an elite playoff caliber team?” This weeks statement is “can you blow out a sub-par team with a bum QB?”. But to be honest the Bucs already made this statement twice last year when they shutout San Francisco and kicked Seattle’s ass.

“However”, this is a new season and the Bucs must once again prove that they are not only good enough to beat a good team but also good enough to trounce a bad team. The Steelers aren’t so far. Are our Bucs better than the Steelers? I think we shall soon go a long way towards answering that.

Just to make things clear- Indy isn’t actually a “bad” all around team. They have maybe the most elite pass rushing DE duo in the league plus a great all around recieving core with Wayne\collie\Garcon\Dallas Clark-etc. There IS talent on this team and they should not be taken lightly.
