im going to be watching by pirated internet file, downloaded later in the evening, while live i will watch nfl.com gametracker while listening to a local tampa broadcast radio station (theres always one that forgets to take down internet streaming, different one each time)
I could just avoid the score/game altogether on sunday, and then download the HD torrent on monday and watch that on tv. but it’ll be hard to keep my eyes of the scores ticker when i’m watching the other games.
it may not be warranted, but I somehow blame the glazers for this absurdity. lower the god**m ticket prices you cheap bastards! it’s simple suppy and freakin demand!
Good thing about living in VA and having Sunday ticket is that I never get blacked out but if I lived in Tampa I’ d be going, plenty of cheap tickets out there.
I purchased 300-level tickets to the whole season a month ago and sat in the club level for the Detroit game. Hopefully all the slack-asses in Tampa will continue to work harder on finding excuses than finding Bucs tix and I can sit there all year for under $400 for the season…
Those $30 tickets were already purchased so they wouldn’t help in having the blackout lifted. If I didn’t live 3 hours away in Melbourne (and yes we’re blacked out here too), I’d be all on that, but we need to get more hometown fans to purchase those tickets that still haven’t sold to lift the idiotic blackout. And that won’t happen until the Glazers reassess their ticket prices.
Its really not all that expensive. You don’t need to get blitzed and if you do, you’re not really watching the game anyway. You’re in lines for beer and then for the pisser. Drink at your tailgate. Lame economy excuse…. James from Dunedin, if thats your real name, Google search Bucs tickets and I promise you that you will find something cheaper. Go to the neighborhood around the stadium and hit up some of the low lifes that scalp tickets and you will find a decent deal. Volunteer to wave the flag. You will get an excellent deal!
I’ll be up here in Southern Illinois, watching at a bar, hopefully drunk enough to drown out all of the ‘DA BEARS, DA BEARS, DA BEARS,’ chants going on. Stupid Chicago people.
@Karl, @Mauha — You guys are getting paranoid. If the NFL cared about shutting down the sites that stream games, they’d blow them out of the water routinely in some shape or form. Funny how some of the more popular sites got shut down AFTER football season in 2010 … Joe finds it interesting to see how many fans are moving toward the Internet. This is not some covert operation by Joe. Hell, Ian Beckles is on the team flagship radio station routinely telling fans he watches games online. Nobody cares.
Joe- Actually the NFL can’t shut these sites down and thats why they haven’t. They would LOVE to shut them down but won’t be able to since they can’t singlehandedly change the laws in the foreign countries that host the sites that are infringing on the copyrights. All that has been managed is for certain domain names to be seized since they were registered with U.S. internet registrars. Those sites were back up within days under new domain names. There is not a damn thing the NFL can do. Its no different than the efforts and failure of the RIAA and many other corporations to shut down the worlds most popular bit torrent website. You see these sites merely allow people to post links to content and do not actually host the streams and in countries like Sweden that does not violate copyright law. The streams are hosted on sites where people are allowed to publish their own streams and if one gets shut down for terms of service violations they can simply move to another account and begin streaming again within minutes. They then post the link at one of the sites that aggregate these links for us to find but like I said, in Sweden thats not illegal and the NFL can’t stop it.
@BecklesHeartsRuud — Money talks. Those sites overseas make very little money via ad share networks on the sites. If the NFL wanted to, it could offer up money to have them turn off NFL feeds, which would make life difficult for the end users in the U.S. They’re just not interested.
Joe- Sorry but you are wrong. It all has to do with the fact that Sweden, thank THE LORD, has no interest in ceding their national sovereignty to U.S. Business interests. Long live FREEDOM OF INFORMATION!!!!
i have to agree with espo…i live far away and obviously cannot attend. seems like we are short 10thousand consistently give or take. lets say the ticket are $100 (plus another $50 for parking and food) – personally speaking that IS a little pricey for me, BUT being a true buc fan i would take my lawn mower/edger/blower and walk it around my neighborhood until i get that extra income for the game (what, maybe 5 or 8 lawns). tell people your doing this to raise money to go to the game…i guarantee you they will probably give you more than what you ask. it’s only 7 home games this year….i would be one of ten thousand guys that would do this in a heartbeat. you get a tan, lose weight, get paid and your at the game – win/win situation =) GO BUCS!!!

I assume you’ve found a torrent? Would it be possible to get the web address on that? sports @ 2ndpeter. com is my email (minus spaces).
I would love to fine a weekly torrent source just so I can store games on PC to look at in hte off season.

Where’s the option for going to the game?
September 24th, 2011 at 1:56 pm

September 24th, 2011 at 2:03 pm
Joe here,
@JamesfromDunedin — Check TiqIQ or StubHub. You should be able to find something for less than $50 after fees.

I’ll be watching it on NFL’s game rewind around midnight after work. Hopefully I can avoid spoilers all evening!

Why would you want to give the NFL a documented poll on fans pirating the game?

Good question Karl. I will now throw my cell into the Gulf
September 24th, 2011 at 6:04 pm
will be A @ rjs
September 24th, 2011 at 7:21 pm
Why is this poll up every game? What is the point? Are you keeping track of the IP addresses of those who vote yes?
September 24th, 2011 at 7:33 pm
LOL. If the NFL cared who watched online they’d just run their own pirated site.
