September 11th, 2011 at 12:57 pm
I’m in Tallahassee working and can watch the game on TV !! WHOO HOOO GO BUCS !!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 1:18 pm

September 11th, 2011 at 1:19 pm
And Stroughter says, “Thanks, Mo!”
September 11th, 2011 at 1:22 pm
Stuck in Hazleton, Pa. No Bucs in tv here and can’t find any audio either, Any suggestions,
September 11th, 2011 at 1:28 pm
Aqib Talib: 1
Mathew Stafford: 0
Hell Yeah!
September 11th, 2011 at 1:29 pm
azzclown makes back to back plays…….
if you know what I mean…
September 11th, 2011 at 1:31 pm
NFL Sunday Ticket or Sirius NFL Radio naseman52
September 11th, 2011 at 1:36 pm
Pick 6 Talib!! Stafford is carving our secondary up though, picking up HUGE chunks of yardage…
September 11th, 2011 at 1:37 pm
Where is our defense today?!
September 11th, 2011 at 1:38 pm
so… what happened to that chat window we had last year joe?
September 11th, 2011 at 1:40 pm
I don’t know Pat, we’re doing pretty decent vs the run. But our pass rush and secondary need some serious adjustments.
September 11th, 2011 at 1:44 pm
This offense is pathetic !
September 11th, 2011 at 1:45 pm
Our lead is going to be VERY short-lived
September 11th, 2011 at 1:51 pm
Great. Biggers gets a helmet to helmet hit on Talib.
September 11th, 2011 at 1:56 pm
Damn you dumbasses sound pretty freaking negative for a bunch of fans who’s team is winning. If Talib isn’t too hurt to keep playin then the Bucs got this. Talib is proving in this game that Joe was selling snake oil with his “Bucs are good at CB with Talib” CRAP!
September 11th, 2011 at 1:58 pm
Preston Parker?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:01 pm
roflmao…we give up an interception, but it results in points and us getting the ball back?! Awesome 😛
September 11th, 2011 at 2:01 pm
Hopefully this is just rust and not really our offense for this season
September 11th, 2011 at 2:01 pm
Keystone cops on offense
September 11th, 2011 at 2:02 pm
Bah, st00pid nfl.com, lol…that was one hell of an interesting play, till they changed the call 😛
September 11th, 2011 at 2:03 pm
Checking in from The Pirate’s Den in Grand Cayman. Much to my good fortune, this is a Buc’s headquarters in the Caribbean.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:06 pm
LOL…who is the heat effecting….certainly not the lions
September 11th, 2011 at 2:09 pm
Got it
September 11th, 2011 at 2:10 pm
So… what happened to our offense?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:10 pm
johnson: 1
Talib: 1
September 11th, 2011 at 2:11 pm
go get some more IVs and gatorade boys
September 11th, 2011 at 2:12 pm
Nice field goal… err… TD
September 11th, 2011 at 2:12 pm
Why do we have Jesuit’s JV safety starting for us? Oh wait nvm that’s just Sean Jones
September 11th, 2011 at 2:12 pm
I really hope T-jax can stay clean once he comes back cuz Sean Jones is wearing out his welcome. Talib is playing a good game but you gotta have safety help deep sometimes too in our defense.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:13 pm
You said it Scotty.
Looks like Jones was way out of position on the play. So much for safety help
September 11th, 2011 at 2:13 pm
can’t let LIons get the ball again this quarter.
Bucs D needs a breather
September 11th, 2011 at 2:14 pm
WTH
September 11th, 2011 at 2:15 pm
gee…another 3 and out….
September 11th, 2011 at 2:15 pm
Ruuud
September 11th, 2011 at 2:16 pm
hmmm….anyone for an 85 yard scoring play here on our VERY worn out defense.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:17 pm
Why didn’t we hand the ball back to Blount on third and two?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:20 pm
The Bucs remind me of the Chicago Cubs….keep changing out players so much that no one really has time to get in to any kind of a rythym.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
Bucs 58 yards offense
C.Johnson 84 yards
September 11th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
WHEN’S TANARD JACKSON COMING BACK? ANYONE KNOW?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:23 pm
Patrick:
When his one-year suspension is over. If the Bucs bring him back.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:23 pm
errr…. 53 yards
per Mr. Deckerhoff
September 11th, 2011 at 2:25 pm
that over the middle stuff has been open ALLL day for the lions. Where is our errrrrr…middle linebacker?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
We are such an awful team. And our coaches are the worst in the NFL. It’s not a fall Sunday without a dumb challenge by Raheem. Is Gruden still our OC?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:27 pm
@Joe
When would that be Joe?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:28 pm
umm.. Did Greg Olsen take today off or something??
Just kidding though. Its more about the Detroit line being too hot to handle for our o-line. But then apparently they are at the point where they are doing this too just about anybody. Free has still made a few really nice throws under pressure. Even if we don’t win this game I like a lot of what I see. Don’t think anyone can argue that o-line is the next area of focus to upgrade.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:28 pm
Did someone say we were going to get 4 sacks today?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:28 pm
anyone for another 3 and out?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:29 pm
Bucs defense has given up 324 yards in less than a half. Defense has no sacks.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:29 pm
WOW…i can here let’s go Lions on the internet feed.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:30 pm
Those off-season workouts are really paying off.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:32 pm
Williams looking pretty savvy, rolling out of bounds when untouched
September 11th, 2011 at 2:33 pm
We need to get the offense going that time of possession will kill any defense.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:34 pm
Biggest gripe I have with Olsen, is what was with the pass play called on 3rd & 2, when 2 run plays got us there, and we needed to give the D a rest
September 11th, 2011 at 2:35 pm
Take the shot Greggie
September 11th, 2011 at 2:36 pm
Here comes a bone-headed Olsen call.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:37 pm
Once again, when they’re in the hurry-up they move the ball easily. When in the hell are they going to learn the lesson? Go hurry-up more often, dammit!!!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 2:37 pm
Patrick:
Come on man, think. Tanard Jackson is serving a one-year suspension, meaning 52 weeks.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:41 pm
Where’s the pass interference on that endzone throw to William’s?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:42 pm
I’m so sick of Gruden-lite Olson and Raheem’s conservative play-calling?
Our defense has showed no aggressiveness. And our offense is vanilla.
All goes back to coaching. We’re just getting out-coached.
We have the players. Better players than Detroit. That’s why they’re only winning by 7 despite owning the Bucs in the first half.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:42 pm
definetly pass interference but how good has our d line looked
September 11th, 2011 at 2:44 pm
Anyway I can get updates on this thread without hitting refresh and scrolling all the way down ?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:45 pm
opponents have NO fear/respect for the Bucs running game…all else folows
September 11th, 2011 at 2:45 pm
Well…we were a second half team last year…let’s see if it holds true this year
September 11th, 2011 at 2:46 pm
Flboyindallas- yeah the difference between the no huddle and regular offense is Josh in charge vs. olsen in charge. Is Josh Freeman the best offensive coordinator on the team? Im getting close to saying that he is. Maybe Ollie needs to take a hit to his ego and admit that Josh knows how to get this offense pumping better than he does. I give Ollie credit for developing free now its time for him to let creation shine. It might be time that Josh Freeman takes a Manning\Jim Kelly type control of this offense
September 11th, 2011 at 2:46 pm
We have a running game today?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:50 pm
PFT.com reporting Bucs / Raheem Morris fined for illegal contact with players during lock out for congratulating K2 for the birth of his child and to Niko K. for… (not specified, but didn’t he have season ending injury?)
September 11th, 2011 at 2:50 pm
No running game… Dom said Blount don’t deserve a pay raise.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:50 pm
Did mccoy have 2 or 3 offsides penalties in the first half? At least his name was called.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:53 pm
Raheem needs to be fined for calling such a TERRIBLE defense!
September 11th, 2011 at 2:54 pm
Getting sick and tired of our offense during the first half
September 11th, 2011 at 2:55 pm
2nd Half is when Coach Morris unleashes the offense.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:56 pm
@ Thomas2.2
Same for Suh
September 11th, 2011 at 2:57 pm
Olsen….LMAO
September 11th, 2011 at 2:57 pm
They had half time to come up with those 3 plays. Ugh. Are we sure Tony Dungy is not coaching again.
September 11th, 2011 at 2:58 pm
2 and 1 and you get stuffed twice on 2 horrible calls. Classic!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 2:58 pm
2nd and 1 and we still can’t get a first down? This team is far from being a super bowl contender
September 11th, 2011 at 2:59 pm
Seriously, did we just get stuffed on 3rd and 2, followed by 3rd and 1?
September 11th, 2011 at 2:59 pm
JOE.. for the 3rd time where is the chat window we had last year.. this blows. just sayin
September 11th, 2011 at 2:59 pm
WORST RUN BLOCKING LINE EVAR!!! I can’t wait for the day when we put some lineman on the field that help make Free and Blount look even better rather than just constantly forcing them to have to try and make plays despite the offensive line.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Hold them to 3 here Defense
September 11th, 2011 at 3:03 pm
Sucks, TD Detroit. They can throw on us at will .
September 11th, 2011 at 3:03 pm
No love, Scotty
September 11th, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Was that an interception, with a lateral back to the lions?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Damn it!!! Quincy Black had it and threw it back!! idiot
September 11th, 2011 at 3:06 pm
Glad we are stopping the run.
Glad our offensive line is using it’s new scheme. Definitely working well…not
September 11th, 2011 at 3:08 pm
it’s gonna be a long season!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:09 pm
we suck
September 11th, 2011 at 3:10 pm
dallasbuc:
For the eighth or ninth time, probably no chat this year. It blew. Too much of a pain in the arse and people whined and complained too much. Just saying.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:10 pm
I’m starting college pretty soon. Maybe by the time I graduate, the Bucs will know how to stop the freaking run
September 11th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Reality Check for Bucs and Bucs Fans.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Johnson: 2
Talib: 1
September 11th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
So much for the Talib -Johnson matchup
September 11th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
talib getting his ass whipped today… apparantly they dont think he is so good. damn
September 11th, 2011 at 3:12 pm
Well, so much for the improved second half D.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:12 pm
They suck
September 11th, 2011 at 3:12 pm
So…what will be the excuses during the press conferences today/this week?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
lions are what everyone thought they were… so far we are not. game not over yet. let’s see some of that magic from last year! go bucs
September 11th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
the Bucs will be lucky to win 7 games this year. Cant stop the run, cant sack the QB and WRs run open downfield.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
our offense needs to step the f** up!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
Talib simply can’t play. Let him go when his contract is up. He is remarkably average and we need better than average. Don’t give me anything about “oh, when he cleans up off the field, he’ll be great.” Bull. He has been overrated from the beginning.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
Scotty, the Talib 1 is a little misleading. The ball was deflected due to a poor throw cj didnt lose to Talib on that play.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:14 pm
The Bucs were a better team last year
September 11th, 2011 at 3:14 pm
This proves that the loss last year was not a fluke.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:15 pm
Anyone for a 3 and out here?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:15 pm
Sure would have been nice if the bucs got help in the secondary in free agency or draft. Megatron or no, too many 3rd down conversions (and fourth down too)
September 11th, 2011 at 3:15 pm
We are getting crushed on both sides of the LOS.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:15 pm
I’m still holding out hope for a 4th quarter comeback.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:16 pm
Wouldnt it be nice to have a stud free agent defensive back to help on megatron? Maybe a cheap one will be available in the draft.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:16 pm
This defense has been totally screwed by an offense that forgot to drive to the field this morning. I mean seriously, even if your not going to score TD’s at least have ONE long drive at some point. It’s impossible to win when your offense can’t at the very least score some time of possession.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:16 pm
What was the over under on the Bucs offense three and outs today?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:17 pm
Morris should hire a full-time DC for next year.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:18 pm
we need to start injuring their players
September 11th, 2011 at 3:18 pm
Did anyone see Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees play earlier this week? Josh Freeman is no where near either of these guys. I know he has brought us back in several games but I’m really hoping it wasn’t because we playing losing teams.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:18 pm
Fourth Quarter comeback after all of this would be amazing
September 11th, 2011 at 3:18 pm
Thomas- Wouldn’t it be nice if you admitted the obvious, which is that an offense that has garnered almost zero time of possession has put the D in the absolute worst of circumstances? If you want to hate, hate on who really deserves it which is our horrid o-line.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:18 pm
Hold them to 3 tampa
September 11th, 2011 at 3:19 pm
Nevermind
September 11th, 2011 at 3:19 pm
Beckles,
Bull. If the defense wants to help themselves, then stop the other team. That is what got us to the NFC championship in 99. Held the best offense in the last 20 years to 9 points that game. Defense has no one but themselves to blame. Offense needs to get to work but D can’t blame them.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:22 pm
oh dear 😮
September 11th, 2011 at 3:22 pm
Think #5 will come back?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:23 pm
LMAO…going to get an IV….so much foe the heat effecting the Lions….
September 11th, 2011 at 3:23 pm
It would be nice to see one QB dropback in this game where our QB is actually given time to make a play.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:23 pm
Wow just a poorly coached game, this ones on the coaches. Play to win guys!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
every run is going for 5+ yards. Pathetic.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
Best to the Pro Bowl…along with Stafford.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
At least the Falcons and Saints will both be 0-1 after today
September 11th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
Come on… we need to stop them to have a chance
September 11th, 2011 at 3:25 pm
Same offense as last year. Something changed! What was it? No Cadillac, new scheme, new O-Line coach? Just asking, really don’t know.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:25 pm
lets go tampa!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:25 pm
Thank you ronde
September 11th, 2011 at 3:25 pm
I’d just like to remind everyone though. Its only game one and we won’t see too many more d-lines this elite. Hopefully this o-line can look better against d-lines that aren’t this nonstop.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
Absolutely NO penetration
September 11th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
Here comes Megatron…or Pettigrew over the middle
September 11th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
Sure beckles, the defense has no responsibility for stopping 3rd downs and allowing 400 yards of offense in less than
3 quarters.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
raheem’s coaching and our o-line play are why we’re losing
September 11th, 2011 at 3:27 pm
Anyone for a 3 and out?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:28 pm
tony2bits… coaching as d coordinator or head coach? splain yourself?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:29 pm
You guys keep believing ole Rah Rah Morris and in their “plan”. Also keep believing in this mediocre team, at best. The only one I believe in is Josh Freeman and he’s sucking high tit so far today. Maybe next year the Glazer’s will realize how much money they have lost by no one showing up at the games this year and will give us fans a reason to want to spend our money on this sorry product. Just for the record I HAVE NEVER been on board with this so call plan, where proven free agent veterans are not needed. Not to mention having the leaping stuttering auctioneer as the head coach of this team.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:30 pm
that new o-line coach needs to be fired
September 11th, 2011 at 3:30 pm
back up QB and you pass 2 plays in a row when only needing 3 yards. Idiotic.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
Someone get Koenen a Gatorade.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
The upshot of all this is that Detroit has become as elite a defense as their is. Their line can’t be stopped. Not when you fail to establish the run game.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
@dallas, both. underprepared team as head coach, and unable to come up wit schemes as coordinator
September 11th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
what happend to Freeman?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:32 pm
asspirate99 is full of excuses as are most fans these days. settle down and accept an ass beating for what it is. we dont know what the lions are really yet and we dont know how bad or good we are either. game 1 douche
September 11th, 2011 at 3:32 pm
whew….that was a PAINFUL 3rd quarter to watch
September 11th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Thomas- the D was doing good until the end of the second half when they basically hadn’t been off the field the entire time. How can you blame the D when the offense has what? maybe 2 or 3 first downs for the whole half?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
It’s not o – line coach, the scheme, or the pay calling. These O-line guys have been around a long time and they still can’t push the D-Line around. Time to blame the players. Sure glad we locked our O line up with big contracts.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
By the by…Steven Jackson got hurt in the first quarter, Cadillac has 120 all purpose yards for the Rams so far today…
September 11th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Bucs really failed to upgrade our defense this offseason. They messed up by not bringing back Caddy too and by having this love affair with Lumpkin Pumpkin
September 11th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Where the f%#k are Hayes and Black??
September 11th, 2011 at 3:34 pm
tony2bit.. so it is all scheme that is keeping the D on the field all day? agreed that as a team we dont seem ready to go
September 11th, 2011 at 3:34 pm
This sucks. Go Bucs.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:34 pm
Detroit is controlling the game in a big way.
btw…shouldn’t they put Okam in so they can stop the run???
September 11th, 2011 at 3:35 pm
I don’t think this is a precursor of things to come this season. This o-line does just enough to give us a chance against all but the best of d-lines(and Detroit has obviously become that). The D will start to shine when they get in a game where the offense actually plays football.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:35 pm
Miss me yet guys?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:35 pm
At least we are in good company in our division so far. Lol
September 11th, 2011 at 3:36 pm
If there is a silver lining it that the rest of the NFC South isn’t doing much better.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:36 pm
It is going to be funny if Carolina is the only NFC South team to win this weekend.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:37 pm
Coaching is only part of the problem,
It is execution as Dungy once said.
Too many missed opportunities on 3rd downs on both sides of the ball.
Olsen has had a terrible game calling game.
can’t figure out some of his call especially early in the first half when the D really needed more than a 3 and out by the offense
September 11th, 2011 at 3:37 pm
The caddy would have been stuck in neutral with this offensive line.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
That would be funny. Someone has to win right?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
well at least it looks like ATL will also lose today. so we’re still on top of the division
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
As fresh as Spurlock is…you would think he would have out run the Lions Special Teams
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
Damn the heat is no joke. The heat might take Stafford out even if our d-line can’t. LOL(hey gotta laugh to keep from cryin)
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
You guys think that the Bucs have it bad?
have you been paying attention to the Indy game?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
Now Price leaving, holding his Hamstring. It just keeps getting better!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:39 pm
Come on Free.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:39 pm
sorry, didnt ur comment, cannon & black
September 11th, 2011 at 3:41 pm
Heat.
Waht is the No Freakin Logic League going to do to regulate the heat?
No contact in the offseason already,
are they going to call off games when the heat/temperature is above 80?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:41 pm
about f’n time
September 11th, 2011 at 3:41 pm
Nice block Joseph! Right in To Freeman ! Glad we are overpaying your ass’
September 11th, 2011 at 3:42 pm
JOE… why are you ignoring the question on the missing chat app?… all that success causing you to tighten your belt?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:44 pm
The plan all along – keep the Lions offense on the field all day to tire them out and keep the lions def complacent. They hit them off guard in the fourth quarter.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:45 pm
Dallasbuc….check the comments. Joe has responded.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:45 pm
Joe here,
@dallasbuc — Joe’s trying to watch a football game.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:46 pm
Come on 2 tds please.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:46 pm
Capt.Tit… kong suh will win some. havent really heard his name all day so i’d say joseph is earning his contract early
September 11th, 2011 at 3:46 pm
Read up about 50 posts Dallasbuc…he DID answer the question, he said there was too much complaining about it last year, and it was more trouble than it was worth; likely wont happen again this year
September 11th, 2011 at 3:46 pm
Hey queer bait in Dallas, It’s not after one game. I’ve never liked what this team has done on since numb nuts was made head coach. Nor do I believe in this so call plan or this regime. So go fornicate yourself! See Joe I kept it cleanish.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:47 pm
LOL shawn I was thinking the same thing.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:52 pm
And that’s what happened when you don’t bring any veterans to a young team.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:52 pm
dallasbuc:
Joe’s answered SEVERAL times. Why are you not reading the answer?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:52 pm
nice play call idiot. Line up under center and pound the ball. This delay draw crap is stupid.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:53 pm
yep wienaman i missed it but still dont get why since i never saw the first 7 or 8 mentions in this thread about the chat app.
and asspirate99.. chill out and get off your high horse. this team proved YOU wrong last year and you are still sore about it. thanks for keeping it cleanish!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 3:54 pm
Reality check for your a**, the kool-aid tastes like pi** today. Why can’t this team play good at home? I love my team, but I am beyond dissappointed today.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:55 pm
Is it too early to start a “Fire Scott Olsen” campaign?
September 11th, 2011 at 3:56 pm
yes david go home
September 11th, 2011 at 3:59 pm
…I am home.
September 11th, 2011 at 3:59 pm
last chance right here
September 11th, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Freeman’s a beast
September 11th, 2011 at 4:00 pm
And we can’t rush for one yard!! The highest paid unit on the team- the O- line – can’t get one lousy yard!
It’s just like the first games last year. We learned nothing.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Am I the only one who’s shocked that for once Scott was smart and he didn’t run the ball on a one yard play?
September 11th, 2011 at 4:03 pm
Horrible clock management from
The coach
September 11th, 2011 at 4:03 pm
Instead of scolding the o-line, you should respect the fact that the Lions’ line has been stopping the rush all day, but they’ve had a difficult time stopping the pass. Why they’d even run this late in the game is beyond me even with all of their past failure. It’s obvious they’re not fooling anyone.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:03 pm
whoever said it earlier it is quite clear our boys were not well prepared. sucks. it is early and the lions may finally be legit so no harry carry yet folks!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:04 pm
It’s Greg Olsen not Scott Olsen
September 11th, 2011 at 4:04 pm
The Bucs looked lifeless today, but unlike some I am not ready to rip off their heads and poop down their neck.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:05 pm
Thomas why havent you mentioned the Olson today.Didnt you say he was the guy?
September 11th, 2011 at 4:06 pm
Pathetic loss by the Bucs. Yeah, the game isn’t officially over yet but my god!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:06 pm
Ah, lol I was thinking to myself, “Well, it can’t be Greg because that’s the tight end from Chicago.” Didn’t consider there being two.
In the end, Google’s my friend…as is paying attention to commentary.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:06 pm
MIKE WILLIAMS IS AMAZING!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:06 pm
i’ll take it!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:07 pm
too little too late
September 11th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
unbelievable catch.. we will be great!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
helluva catch though
September 11th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Nice TD catch by William’s
September 11th, 2011 at 4:09 pm
HUGE kudos to the Lions. Matthew Stafford was on fire (in more ways than one in this heat) and Megatron is jaw dropping as usual. They definitely look better this season, however…it may be a bit premature to say that.
Just giving respect where it’s due.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:09 pm
Hmmm…I thought it was Mrs. Olsen
September 11th, 2011 at 4:09 pm
Damn nice play. Still Freeman could come out, kick the onside, recover it himself and some of you would say he didn’t do it right.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:10 pm
How about Merlin Olsen
September 11th, 2011 at 4:10 pm
asspirate99 should move to new england where he can guarantee his team is always a winner! go bucs!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:11 pm
On a side note, the wings here smell amazing…
September 11th, 2011 at 4:12 pm
Aaaaand Megatron does it again.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:13 pm
Tougher schedule this year. Can’t be expecting to come back on teams like we did last year. This game showed no progress from last year despite a more experienced young team. Hope it improves.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:14 pm
This looked like a preseason game this year…lol
September 11th, 2011 at 4:15 pm
Miss me yet:)
September 11th, 2011 at 4:15 pm
3 and 6… lets get a stop…
September 11th, 2011 at 4:16 pm
Wait a minute…
September 11th, 2011 at 4:16 pm
Cool! The Bucs got their azzz kicked. Time for Raheem the Dream to go.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:17 pm
NOT OVER YET. Let’s go Bucs!!!!!!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:17 pm
FINALLY- Hayes just standing around finally pays off!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:18 pm
Capt Tim – LOL!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:19 pm
Freeman isnt even looking downfield
September 11th, 2011 at 4:20 pm
oh tea party guy weighed in.. real astute take guy
September 11th, 2011 at 4:22 pm
Nice of Detroit to help out with some penalties.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:24 pm
hhaahahahahhahhhah
September 11th, 2011 at 4:24 pm
Hook and Lateral?!?!?
Is that your master plan Mr.Olsen?
well at least this was just preseason, right?
September 11th, 2011 at 4:27 pm
Ernest would have been better off making a beeline straight to the sideline and getting out of bounds but thats not his fault.
Call a play that has guys going into the endzone. Stupid stupid stupid.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:28 pm
“Cool! The Bucs got their azzz kicked. Time for Raheem the Dream to go.”
—-
You are an absolute idiot! I guess the Falcons and Saints should fire their coaches too, huh? When you get a clue, let us know. Are you premature in everything you do?
September 11th, 2011 at 4:29 pm
I just want to know who Thomas blaimes…Is it Morris the head coach, or is it Olsen or Freeman. Surely he will blame the defense, even though this one is on the offense not showing up till halfway thru the 4th. What a suck arse game! I hope they can pull it together next week. Who thought the heat would hurt us more than the Lions.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:30 pm
Maybe we will run more no huddles play calling was a joke, why would we miss Ruud he is smart but he does not call offensive plays too.He should have showed up in Jax.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:30 pm
Hey Joe, I guess your making of fun of Schwarz for his comments about the heat were a little bit off. Guess that’s why he is an NFL coach…..and you’re not.
Neither am I. I think our slow starts are on Freeman. He may be too laid back and the team takes on that personality. And Olsen is fine. Don Shula wouldn’t win with an offensive line this bad.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:35 pm
jack the heat clearly got to them hints all the cramping second our oline did a good job suh equals zero sacks and our dline was getting pressure our main problem was clearly play calling and our linebackers with the exception of geno
September 11th, 2011 at 4:38 pm
Jack, did you watch the game? The o line was fine. The Bucs did not execute on offense. The d3efense spen too much time on the field. We all know they will struggle a bit this year. The offense needed to step it up, and it was not the line. I think they had one sack, and this is a great d line that the lion’s have. This is not Freeman being laid back either. It is a young team losing to a more veteran team. Maybe the Lions have their number. The offense was not bad due to the line, Free had time, he just either thru bad or the passes were driopped. A few bad calls as well.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:40 pm
@ JOE
I prefer this gameday thread to the chat. I hated the chat so much I didn’t even come to the site during games last year. That said, with a threat started, I MUCH prefer it this way. Less lag on my system IF I happen to be watching something online 😉
Coach has very little to do with it when in hurry-up offense. It was all on the players.
That said, they made up for it later. No one can say this team quit.
All is not lost…
Because the Saints and Flacons lost, we may not be hurt by the loss.
In the NFL, since 1992, only 24% of the teams that lost their first game made the playoffs. If all the other teams lose in our division, it won’t hurt us.
Cards are ahead by 7 atm.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:43 pm
Pete your clueless.
You will frequently see the timeout come from the head coach before the 2 minute warning to create the extra play, extend the game. If rah understood clock mgt he would have done that
September 11th, 2011 at 4:45 pm
well said pete except for the chat app take… this thread serves more or less same purpose but is just plain cheap and lousy. still havent found out why it was so problematic to have back the way it was. lame
September 11th, 2011 at 4:45 pm
@Jack
Better to let people accuse you of being a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:47 pm
Thomas, I see u listen to the game. I am sure you know so much about coaching. Nice regergatation job. So, was Morris or Olson ans Free to balme this week? You sya we win because of them, so we must lose because of them too. Pete is totaly right, you are the foolish one my Jack ass friend.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:50 pm
Dalas, Joe’s app only allowed 15 people on without being approved by the admin. I think we all prefer the Joe’2 to watch the game and give us all the great material over approving people on the chat.
I do like the chat better, but this one is fine as well.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:51 pm
watching tim hightower run makes me wish we had a little better research in the half back area.. we could have had him and he would have been a real difference maker with blount. otherwise we got outplayed at the line of scrimmage today. detroit deserves real credit for going on the road and overcoming early misfortune to basically dominate.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:52 pm
Sorry for the typos…Adult beverage day at my house!
September 11th, 2011 at 4:54 pm
The defense that gave up over 400 yards through 3 quarters has a lot of responsibility. No sacks again from the defensive line.
Why is Olson responsible? It is clear that they wanted to run the ball and couldnt bc the Detroit D line is dominant.
Free played poorly early but that is his tendency.
You sheep tried to stretch Rah’s value to offense last year, if so, he gets the blame for firing the o line coach and then the run game disappears.
This loss goes squarely on the head coach. Rah is now 13-20.
September 11th, 2011 at 4:55 pm
misterbuc…i had not heard of such limitation but if so then find another comparable product. as we are well informed on a regular basis “joebucsfan” is doing well financially and when it comes to a feature that makes fans happy then maybe they can find a better product on game day. umm just sayin
September 11th, 2011 at 5:00 pm
Thomas-the train- when the bucs win 10 this year will you still pull out your savvy math skills? i love this first loss of the season chicken little banter. cant wait to hear about your life-long allegiance in the concession line at the next playoff game
September 11th, 2011 at 5:05 pm
So Thomas what you are saying that if a team stops the run you will automatically lose instead of doing a few play actions and screens, how many three and outs did we have?Do you just look at those yards and not see that if the offense scores twenty points we win?You said Free,Blount,Williams are what make us go,well what happened?
September 11th, 2011 at 5:07 pm
Thomas,
You don’t think the 400 yards of offense had anything to do with the fact that they were on the field for 90% of the time? Are you serious? You think it’s easy to defend a team with about 3 minutes rest between drives in blazing Florida heat?
I’m not going to sit here and blame Olsen for the loss, even though my uneducated football mind didn’t like the play calls one bit. Ultimately, you are right, the loss falls on the head coach, as it always does. The team wasn’t ready to play, which is becoming a common theme. This cannot continue (the slow starts). However, to put ALL of the blame on the coach is piling on (as only you can do with such stupidity). It’s a long season, and (unless Carolina wins) we are still in first place in our division (how is that for a positive spin?). Atlanta looked just as bad as us, if not worse.
September 11th, 2011 at 5:20 pm
You mean that we are still in last place in our division.
September 11th, 2011 at 5:22 pm
so thomas the train… do you think that 1st and last place is significant when each team has 1 loss? dazzle me with your math skills one more time?
September 11th, 2011 at 5:31 pm
“You mean that we are still in last place in our division.”
———-
That right there shows the big difference between me and you. You must have so many friends. Everyone loves a glass half empty kind of guy.
September 11th, 2011 at 5:45 pm
umm.. joe what is your censor policy?
September 11th, 2011 at 5:46 pm
The offense is looking anemic again this year. Where is that 1,000 yard rusher we picked up last year? where is the third down back they are using to replace caddy?
September 11th, 2011 at 5:49 pm
Thomas:
Just as I thought, you turned it back to Morris. Please show your true motive, or like othwer menmbers of your goup, are you afraid to show your face?
September 11th, 2011 at 6:04 pm
Wha a lot of you dont realize or remember is that this is the FIRST FULL GAME that our rag tag group of starters have had to deal with, with REAL COMPETITION… Yeah we lost ,but now we have full speed tape to critique and we can see all of the areas that we need to work on. Some of you blame the offense for the loss, some blame the defense ,special teams or the coaches . You’re all right. the whole organization is to blame for the loss but now we have a tool to help us fix this potentially GREAT TEAM…. ALL WAS NOT BAD, BUT THE BAD IS WHAT HURTS THE MOST. Now all we have to do is MAN UP AND FIX THIS B!TCH!!! i’m just sayin’….
September 11th, 2011 at 8:20 pm
The Bucs were very generic today, especially on defense. Stafford tore up that cover 2. I don’t understand why we didn’t at least try and blitz. The score was actually closer than the game was. It was a beat down in many ways. Our offensive line protected okay at times, but can’t run block to save their lives. At least all 4 NFC South teams lost but the Bucs need to make changes in personnel. They have the right players on the team, but need to get the right ones on the field. Olson made some really bad 4’th down calls, running at the heart of their D line which is their strongest suit. The Bucs were OUT-COACHED today on all fronts except special teams. I’m no hater, and they can fix this , but it is what it is, depressing.
