Okam And Zuttah Get The Night Off

Unless Joe missed something, and Joe was looking closely, it seems that Frank Okam and Jeremy Zuttah got the night off.
Hmm, perhaps they’re starters now, since the starters didn’t play?
Okam as a starter is no surprise. He’s the healthiest nose tackle, and he’s been impressive. But has Zuttah gotten the nod over Ted Larsen, who was lousy the last two weeks and has a minor ankle injury?
The Zuttah-Larsen question should be answered by Monday.

Okam definitely did not play. McCargo and Price got the starts. McCargo has been the best Bucs d-lineman tonight. Price looks nowhere near being ready to play when the regular season starts.

That wouldn’t make any sense, because it’s not like Larsen played either…

Okam should start. Price will be ready after 3-4 games to take over. IMHO…

I was pretty impressed with Price…showed some nice burst on some plays and looked like he’s improving his conditioning. color me excited about the d line this year, Clayborn, Bowers, Okam, Price and Gerald all looking at good seasons. Can’t wait.

I never saw Larsen out there. If Larsen is still the starter, it makes sense to rest Zuttah. Considering he can every single position on that line, you better have him rested and healthy.
I just wish they would downgrade Faine and drop Zuttah in the Center. He is far better than Faine at that position now since we don’t utilize Faine’s biggest asset anymore(Center line audibles). Faine is smarter but Zuttah is a wrecker at Center. Although, I do question his shotgun snap speed. It seems to take a bit too long to get to the QB at times.
