No Suspension; Hatchetman Spares Talib
August 27th, 2011It seems Aqib Talib is off the hook — for now.
Hatchetman commissioner Roger Goodell is waiting until at least after the 2011 season to suspend Talib, so reports Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune. He shot the news out via Twitter moments ago. The NFL apparently informed the Bucs today.
Joe is relieved and very pleased to learn that Goodell seemingly took the time to review the public record information on Talib’s case. It’s been clear to Joe that a reasonable commissioner would conclude what Joe did — that incriminating evidence against Talib was sketchy at best.
Now Bucs fans everywhere can stop moaning endlessly about how the Bucs will stop some guy named Megatron on Sept. 11.

Joe- yes we have our answer for “some guy named Megatron”.
Should we here on JBF.com give Talib the nickname “Optimus Prime” if hes shuts Megatron down? I think that would be awesome.

Beckles:
Don’t know what any of that means. Joe doesn’t play Dungeons and Dragons.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:11 pm

August 27th, 2011 at 9:16 pm
COME ONE!! You guys must know who Optimus Prime is from transformers. If nothing else, as a man, you must have watched for the action and, most importantly, Megan Fox

Dave:
Joe doesn’t know any of this stuff.
August 27th, 2011 at 9:22 pm
I thought everyone watched Transformers when they were a kid at this point…the show is almost 30 years old for cryin’ out loud!
August 27th, 2011 at 10:20 pm
Joe- Don’t be daft man. Both those characters are from Transformers. What are you? 80 years old or something? Just cuz you weren’t aware that all the rest of us called CJ “Megatron” doesn’t mean you can’t join in the “fun” now that you know.

Joe is not nor ever has been a scifi kinda guy. Joe knows nothing about it. May as well be talking Chinese.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:34 pm
Ummm… Welcome to America dude. Its not just sci-fi. Everyone freaking knows what Transformers are after a TV series that lasted most of the 80’s and a trio of movies that dominated the box office this decade. Your too cool for school dude.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:42 pm
Learn something every day. Didn’t know it was a TV series.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:48 pm
it ain’t over…..actually this thing is going to loom ever larger…..
August 27th, 2011 at 10:48 pm
Joe- Seriously???? OK. I will let it go. This is a football website after all. You don’t have to know what a transformer is to love the Bucs. Just ask my 85 year old grandfather. Oh wait he doesnt like the Bucs or the transformers but he did coach Bill Belijerk at Wesleyan University(oh yeah im name droppin)

Ok so again with the next man up thing. Biggers beat deep on a great catch but we need Aqib because honestly our offense looks poor and week one is coming fast. Detroit looks so explosive in every game and in every our offense sputtered and stalls. I’m doing the math. With a young defense and slow offense doesn’t bid well.

I knew it kanaka Talib is back
August 28th, 2011 at 8:25 am
Joe, in the first two movies you just need to see the scene were Megan Fox fixes the car, and in the second when she is painting the motorcycle.
August 28th, 2011 at 8:37 am
Oh yea! Talib’s not getting suspended yet!
But last night, we played a 4-3-4 defense, and Talib and thee secondary sucked. They couldn’t stop the Dolphins anemic pass offense.
Oddly, once they weren’t handicapped by a 3-3-5 scheme, WR actually could stop the run! Hmm, you guys sure the secondary is a strength? Bet Matthew Stafford doesn’t think so in a couple weeks!

“Without Talib”
