I wish these games would sell out, but at the same time these prices are ridiculous! Why do they charge so much for tickets compared to other place!!?? Even the Preseason tickets are expensive!!

According to the stats, the Bucs are middle of the road as far as NFL ticket prices. Yet this is the only team in the league with all home games blacked out last year. I think the problem is the fan base thinks the team may be a fluke. Combined with the economy and people who just have one excuse after another for not going. People either complain about the sun, the parking, the beer, etc, etc… And a lot of people now just want to watch the game at home in HD.

Joe,
According to the guide on my DirecTV, they have the game on at 5pm Hawaii time (11pm Tampa time) on Thursday. I thought that was kind of odd since the game may not even be over by the time the are airing it, but I just checked it again and it still hasn’t changed.

I struggle with the September games. It is just so hot. I’m a viking. We are made for the snow not the sun. November and December I’m all about it though. I’m going this Thursday and the Saturday Dolphin games cause their at night but…. You get the idea. Some people really can’t deal with sitting in the Florida sun for 3 hours.
Plus, paying $80-$100 to see a bunch of preseason “whats his name” play is a bit much. I could spend a fifth of that and see those same guys at the Forum.

My Comcast guide tells me NFLN will show the game at 11pm on thu. I really hope that is correct. I hate denying myself JBF before i watch the game so I can have an objective assessment of the team.

will it be live on the radio? Reason I ask, I never heard a night game on the radio before…just checking – can’t seem to find that info elsewhere. thx

The game will be live on WDAE and WFUS with Gene Deckerhoff and Dave Moore. That’s how I’m spending my Thursday Night.
BTW in Orlando WFTV is delaying the Bucs game until 12:05 AM.

I wish they would stream the radio over the net. I don’t have a good radio to tune in with.

Hey does anyone know if the game is blacked out in Orlando. I know during the regular season it is but Channel 9 WFTV has on its website it is showing it at 7:30?? Last night they did I checked on my cable guide and it did not show that and Brighthouse had the recast on at 1 am and not 11:30 because of Jimmy Kimmel which stinks as Friday is a work day. As far as I know when its blacked out in Tampa the same thing goes for Orlando but preseason might be different??? Maybe Channel 9 is not in the loop???

Nick2:
As always, NFL blackouts apply to both a team’s primary and secondary markets. Orlando is a Bucs secondary TV market.
Thank Hugh Culverhouse.
