Josh Freeman A Hall Of Famer?
May 20th, 2011Now Joe understands it is still very early in the morning, a Friday morning, and many of Joe’s loyal readers likely have not had their morning jolt of caffeine yet.
But in an SI.com video below, Maggie Gray got SI.com columnist Peter King to put down his bowl of oatmeal long enough to discuss quarterbacks.
While discussing the quarterbacks drafted in the first round of the 2009, King, understandably, wonders if Matthew Stafford will every stay healthy and gave Mark Sanchez a back-handed compliment by calling him a “complementary” quarterback.
Then the subject of Josh Freeman came about. King called Freeman the best of the three quarterbacks and when pushed by Gray, King said Freeman would be headed to Canton before Sanchez or Stafford.
Not let’s settle down. As Mike North would bellow, “Take it easy! Slow down!” Freeman has only started one full season in the NFL.
That written, if last season was just a taste of what is to come, we all might be buying a weekend package 20 years from now from a Canton-area Motel 6.

I already reserved rooms 20 years from now, in Canton. I did it last season, right after the Saints game. You guys might wanna reserve your rooms now, also. The Guy at the desk said they were going quick!
Peter King sure is alot smarter than he looks.

Stafford will never be healthy, that shoulder is damaged goods, unless they are prepared to completely rebuild the joint and let him sit for two seasons, he is never going to finish a full season, I predict he’ll be out of football in less than 5 years. Sanchez is just what King said he is, and thats all Ryan and the Jets want him to be, they built the Ravens North in NY and if you look at Flacco, thats all he is, a complimentary player not the center of the team. Josh on the other hand as of right now IS the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the whole thing rotates around him and the offense, god when would you have ever thought you’d hear that about the Bucs, the team is Offense-centric. HOF, lets not put the cart before the horse, lets just hope we have a season come Sept.

Well I am certainly glad we have Freeman. Certainly glad we weren’t looking for a QB in this years draft.
I was unsure of the pick at first, hoped for the best given the Bucs history of QB drafting. But now fantastic!!! HOF well here’s hoping!

Matt
LOL! I have to agree!
But, I guess, if those three POSSIBLY even make it to the HOF? Freeman would be the first one, seeing as how he does look to be the better of the three!
