Information On “Monster” Allen Bradford
April 30th, 2011Joe dug up some background on “Monster” Allen Bradford, the Bucs’ sixth round pick today.
Bradford, as you can see in the video linked in the first sentence, is a linebacker playing running back and is expected to be a between-the-tackles kind of guy, specifically in short-yardage situations. In the NFL, his skills are pretty much a one-trick pony: pound the rock.
His problem is that too often he thinks he is Reggie Bush and is not nearly as elusive, nor does he have the hands to catch the ball effectively out of the backfield. Here is his combine workout video from NFL.com.

See, told ya he was Blount Jr. And if the Bucs can’t teach Blount to run up the gut on short yardage then what makes them think they can coach The anti Reggie to go north and south?
Still like the pick… We just need to get Allstott in for training camp to learn these guys a thing or two.

uh oh, looks like this guy is a little full of himself…
April 30th, 2011 at 4:53 pm
Told ya I was a monster.
Only Raheem would reach for this guy in the sixth!
LMAO
But I still like the pick, monsta.

with no ability to get undrafted free agents, the Bucs can’t wait on a guy like they did Blount. If they feel he’s needed, I’m cool w/ that.

Check out this video of Bradford. I like the pick.

Hopefully Joe will take a look at the video provided by DEW above. This guy is a load!

a desparation pick as the Bucs had dynamic RB’s taken just ahead of them all day…. kids from Oregon and Pittsburg….this guy needs to lose about 20lbs…you can see in the vid cone drill as he recovers from the momentum of his gut each time he has a change of direction….Lord knows how much I what a real addition at RB…..he’s hoping

Rastaman, look at joes monster link buddy… Then tell us if he needs to lose weight.
I think Joe liked the JoeBoxers tbh… Probably why he posted the link to that diddy.

if you are refering to this…Here is his combine workout video from NFL.com.
which is the link in the last line of this page/story
The guy will never even get started running in the NFL…
his acceleration and change of direction are the same as a tugboat….
“Tugboat Bradford”

Anybody notice we picked this guy from So Cal at pick 187. Pretty funny if you think about it.
April 30th, 2011 at 5:42 pm
Greg Rameus is still available, really a 1-2nd rd talent. I think with the two injury concerns we have the two DE we picked so far it would not be a bad idea to add G.R.
April 30th, 2011 at 5:55 pm
From what I’m reading on Noel Devine, he’s a top talent running back but feel due to his size, injury concerns, and some character issues. And he’s still available in the 7th round. We’ve could’ve addressed another position in the 6th round.
Maybe Devine will become an undrafted free agent? If that happens, we definitely need to sign him.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:06 pm
Romneus is someone we could use to spell Bowers.
Although I’d rather get another LB.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:08 pm
Is this the next guy we’re gonna make into a fullback??
I thought we needed a 3rd down change of pace back. This pick is confusing, but withholding judgment.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:12 pm
This pick was influenced by “the Kiffins”…..and Monte while a great coach never made a good pick Howell,Gibson,Rudd…now this bloated wanna be Michael Turner

Steal of the draft this guy is gonna rock the NFL Bucs did well he’s a hammer
April 30th, 2011 at 7:39 pm
RastaMon, you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Monte Kiffin has no influence over our draft.

This guy is our goal line/ short yardage back.
If he tries to “Reggie Bush”….and even “Reggie Bush” doesn’t look very good trying to do it, he won’t be long for the team.
