Luke Stocker Is One Happy Dude

April 30th, 2011

There are various ways players celebrate being selected in the NFL draft.

Some, like Gerald McCoy, get to celebrate at Radio City Music Hall and bear hug NFL warden commissioner Roger Goodell.

Others celebrate with family members.

Perhaps Joe’s favorite player celebration was when Wisconsin tackle Joe Thomas decided to get away from all the hoopla and went fishing, despite being a high first round draft pick. Thomas was spotted by a helicopter getting the news with rods in the water.

Now in the 21st century, players have a different way of celebrating: Social media.

Bucs fourth round draft pick Luke Stocker, a tight end from Tennessee too to Twitter to celebrate the good news.

@LukeStocker88: I’m a Buc!!!! Words can’t describe how happy I am right now!!!!

Joe thinks that this Stocker will fit in very nicely for quite a few years.

If ppl arent satisfied with this draft and the direction this team is going than you just cant say your a fan. This is the third draft that the bucs have nailed. We are getting really solid players that should make a difference immediately. Hopefully bowers knee keeps up and we will be one of the better teams in the league for years to come. We took care of the offense last year and we are addressing the defense this year. Dominick was snubbed for GM of the year

at least when and if there is a season he will feel at home during the throw back games with the creamsicile and white

Don’t be surprised if the Bucs spend another pick on a Defensive End. They are completely retooling the defense, and they’ll need good depth. My suggestion?

DE Ricky Elmore in 6th or 7th round.

  4. Danny Cap Says:

Im betting on Quan Sturviant in the 5th or 6th. Maybe a Robert Sands.

Wanted Colin McCarthy from Miami… Then read he had a skinny torso like Ruud… May as well get a LB because we won’t get much out of a late CB.

The running back I really like is Jordan Todman. 1000 HD rusher and runs a 4.40 40.

I’m getting a stocker jersey, I hope he wears number 88 because I’m getting it made tomorrow.

I guarantee this kid is going to be a star if he won’t i’m buying joe rounds all night for the colts @ bucs game.

Good pick, needed a TE. Now let’s go get a RB. Jacquizz Rogers would be a great choice if he is still aval. when we pick. Da’ Ral Scott in the 5th. And a OT/G before it’s over. Great draft so far, esp if Bower knee heals up.

I know that this pick makes Josh Freeman happier too.
