Bucs Will Survive Lockout Just Fine

If Joe has heard it once, Joe has heard it two dozen times: The lockout will be the ruin of the Bucs; their young players won’t be able to handle so much free time.
Well, in the case of troubled Aqib Talib, that would be correct. But Dan Parr of ProFootballWeekly.com believes this notion is pure nonsense. He thinks those that say this about the Bucs are once again underestimating the Bucs.
While we can try to project who is affected most by the lockout, the reality is that the work stoppage isn’t good for the development of any NFL team, and I’m getting the feeling that some people just don’t understand the Bucs.
They didn’t allow age and inexperience to be obtrusive barriers for them last season, and the respect they have for each other and Morris will be powerful as they try to withstand the challenges that this offseason will provide.
We have to acknowledge that the Buccaneers are in a far better position than other clubs when it comes to managing this situation. They don’t have to worry about implementing new offensive or defensive schemes or trying to establish chemistry with a new group of players because of major roster turnover.
Parr makes a good point. The teams that are screwed have new coordinators or are trying to install new offenses or new defenses. With the exception of Talib, the Bucs have consistency on both sides of the ball.

I agree with the article, but I think it will hurt both O-line and D-line, as both units have new coaches.

The past two season the big brother teams beat us up and the Ravens game I saw a VERY maturing squad that said no more. And its been on every since, I am looking forward to our schedule as the other teams can feel pressure with the younger brother maturing FAST comes to town. I love the Bucs because they are a good road team also. However the Talib situation turns out, I know Dominik will not put us in a position to fail and have to count on a player of his character so we will be just fine. I trust Dominik and Raheem! They give me every reason that we will be fine because they fired Jags, cut Ward, benched Trueblood, admitted (indirectly) Ruud is soft, and drafting has been great. I’m proud to be a bucs fan.

The following teams will have a harder time due to the lockout:
Detroit
Arizona (New QB wont learn the system)
Washington (New QB wont learn the system)
St Louis (2nd yr Bradford missing out on most important offseason in young career; look at how important Freemans 2nd offseason was)
Miami (Henne knows system, but if ebony had 1 W at home, u need all the practice u can get)
San Fran (new coaching staff cant talk to players)
Denver (new coaching staff cant talk to players)
Carolina (2nd youngest team in NFL, New QB won’t have enough time in the system)
Even Atlanta. The last thing u want to do after being one and done in the playoffs is not get back into the offseason. That loss is gonna stick in their craw for awhile.

50/50 but remember two things:
1) His play will be limited because Goodell will suspend him.
2) Talib will — if he does come back — be on very, very, very thin ice. He so much as gets a traffic ticket he’s gone. Does anyone really believe he will keep his nose clean?

Yeah, think the Bucs have enough high character guys to stay in line and ready. Just would live for Millard and Morris to have had OTAs with all our young linemen
