Store Halts Sales Of Aqib Talib Gear
March 30th, 2011Outraged at the actions of Bucs cornerback Aqib Talib who tried to pistol whip and then shoot a fleeing man last week and appalled that Talib is a member of the Bucs, a local store known for its Bucs gear sales is stopping any further shipments of Talib’s jersey.
Sensing the public backlash at Talib and knowing he would have to eat the jerseys, Eric Fox of Buccaneer Heaven made sure not another Talib jersey was delivered to his store, so writes Samara Sodos of WFLA-TV, writing for TBO.com.
Rumors swirling that Talib was involved in gunplay in Texas was enough for Fox, who on Monday canceled any further shipments of Talib’s jersey to the Florida Avenue store which sells Buccaneers merchandise.
“Gun charges and NFL players don’t seem to mix well,” Fox said.
If this isn’t evidence that Talib is done in Tampa Bay, nothing is. The man is now simply toxic to Bucs fans.

why do you keep saying some man like he’s innocent? the guy was not suppose to be within a 100 yards of his sister anyway, so if he never showed up this incident would never happen.

Thank god for Justin, or this would be all we hear about…

Nope ill still support me some Aqib Talib if he does not do jail time due to reduced charges. I’m going to wait untill all the details are out before I pass judgment.

Ah, that’s it. A guy gets pistol whipped and then when trying to run away he gets shot at.
Happens all the time. Right.
What ever happened to doing something responsible people do?: Call 911.
Would have saved Talib how many millions of dollars? Smart guy that Talib. His next career he will be teaching criminal justice and marksmanship at the University of Kansas.

Apparently Talib couldn’t count on the the police seeing how Billings had warrants out for his arrest because of 2 other domestic violance against Talib sister, as i said before Billings should not have been there, talib sister had a restraining order on him.

“Gun charges and NFL players don’t seem to mix well,” Fox said.
Ask Plexico Burris about that….
Hey maybe Fox should take the Talib jersey’s and paint black and white stripes on them – at least they would be accurate 🙂

@ Joe why are you so at talibs neck thinking he is such a bad man and a punk.
The more the details are coming out of this story it seems the more right aqib is. Clearly calling 911 like ive seen you say about 4 times in other articles isent the right thing to do. Aqibs sister has a restraining order against him and he and 2 warrants. Clearly there not doing to much. And when it comes to family and seeing the facts above I do not blame aqib and his mother for taking it into there own hands. They want to keep there sister/daughter safe. This case will slowly desolve and aqib will look like the good guy.
Aqib Talib with josh freeman can be arguably the bucs best player. Look at our schedule this year. We need him. Andre johnson, Reggie wayne, calvin johnson, Roddy white twice just to name a few.He is such a impact player and this is gonna set the bucs back and mess up there draft boards and Free agency mind set sooo much.. Im crossing my fingers this gets dropped to a misdemeanor and that I can proudly wear my aqib talib jersey to the game as I cheer him on!

“If this isn’t evidence that Talib is done in Tampa Bay, nothing is. The man is now simply toxic to Bucs fans.”
Because one business man decides to not sell any more Talib jerseys that means he’s done in Tampa and toxic to Bucs fans?
Really? LOL.
