Arrelious Benn “Ahead Of Schedule”

Outside of missing the playoffs, the thing that bummed Joe out the most about the 2010 season was that stud rookie wide receiver Arrelious Benn suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Earlier this week Benn had surgery on his torn ACL. Since, Benn has become somewhat of a Twittering fool, posting all sorts of interesting nuggets.
One of the things he promised his followers is that he would regularly update his fight to rehab his knee. So far, he is doing just that. Yesterday, Benn reports that his knee is fine, as fine as can be expected.
Knee is doing great guys! I ahead of schedule just been watching all the TV and playing video games in the world.!
Joe’s not sure how ahead of schedule it can be just a few days after surgery, but Joe’s glad to read it regardless.
Benn was just starting to blow up when he got hurt. Still turns Joe’s stomach a little on this chilly January morning.

Couldn’t agree more…..it’s as heartbreaking as news about your favorite NFL team can be. Not just because Benn’s out, but because it would have been nice to have the entire offense together throughout the entire offseason.

With a tweet like that, I’d say he’s a bit behind schedule in his grasp of basic English grammar.

Trust Joe, with only 140 characters to work with, grammar is an option on Twitter. Prepositions are the first to go with Joe on Twitter.
There are no nuns with rulers or irritable copy editors hovering above with Twitter.

I realize the limitations of Twitter. But read his, and he could have switched a few words around to make it better. No nuns and editors for sure, but there is still a segment of society that cringes with the LOL, b4, u instead of you, etc. Guess that just means I’m getting old (which I am)!

Lets hope he heals like Chipper Jones, Jonesy was up on his feet within hours and walking with crutches the next day, and off the crutches within two weeks when he blew his knee out this season, and Jones is 37, so come on Regis, get a move on we need you healthy and in camp (if there is one this season) on time.

Ahead of schedule maybe means the swelling went down earlier than expected, thus able to have surgery sooner.
