Man, it sure gets pessimistic in here whent they lose. Articles on: a bad time out at the end of the half, a bad call by the officials on K2, not getting Blount the ball enough, etc… etc… etc…
The bottom line is they are decimated with injury and before that they were already an extremely young team. They have had TEN (10) ROOKIES start this year. Unbeleivable.
Personally, I see them finding out alot about who they have. They have found line depth we didn’t know they had. THey have found some DBs, Wrs, an RB, etc… They have also found out that they need LBs and have reiterated the need for DEs.
There are alot of thing to look at for the loss. To me the amin thing is the fact that the defense needs to be able to end a game, and this group can’t…yet.

Injuries doomed Tampa for this game, especially in the secondary. Calvin Johnson is a stud receiver. Even with a teams best starters, he is a load to handle. Against backups, we all saw what happened. The Detroit QB Stanton from Michigan State played a hell of a game, made some perfect passes, and Johnson made some amazing catches. They won, we lost.

The offense is in pretty good shape (so to speak), so I see the Bucs going heavy on defense, especially D-line and linebackers in the draft. Once again, Free Agency will depend on not only who is available, but who fits our scheme as far as what we want to do.

Geez. The way people are ready to use injuries for an excuse… if the Steelers had the same mindset the whole team would have rolled up in a fetal position by the time the Steelers played the Bucs.
If injuries to the Bucs were so horrible, how did the Bucs have a lead in the fourth quarter? Why, the way people are crying about injuries, the Bucs should have lost by 30!
Were Lions fans bawling about Matt Stafford being out? Come on people!

Imagine the injury excusses if the bucs were playing without either Josh, down to their third QB, like the Lions were.

Well Joe, injuries are a factor. It isn’t an excuse, the Bucs had several chances to with the game (and got a really bad call against), but back up center both guards, 2 DTs & the best cover corner will effect the play. You win with good player and lose with out them. Honestly, if the 49ers game was yesterday, I don’t think we win.
