Horsecrap Call
December 20th, 2010Sometimes a photo tells the story.
Below, Kellen Winslow and the Lions safety are locked up in the end zone with Winslow about to exercise his right to the ball and catch what should have been a fourth-quarter touchdown. But he was called for pass interference. Yesterday, Joe wrote it was the call that killed the Bucs’ season.
The safety didn’t turn or play the ball; either both guys should have been flagged or none at all.

Stupid striped donkeys strike again… they let a mugging happen and then blame it on the victum!

Refs are against the Bucs since Raheem and Talib went after that ref from the Baltimore game…. I have never seen that many offensive pass interference calls before in my life….. Terrible officiating!!!!!
Saying all that the Bucs still could’ve win if Olsen didn’t call those ridiculous runs with Caddy… Where the hell was Blount? Olsen is garbage or is terrified to try anything because he calls the safest and most predictable game.

I wish his play calling was a little more predictable. I don’t get having a weapon like Blunt and using him as little as they do. Overall though it’s not the offense that’s the problem. If you regularly give up big yardage runs right up the middle of your defense you are going to have a hard time winning.

Let me tell you, being in the stadium, the call was absolute f’in BS! It was so obvious as it happened, from 300 feet away, let alone if you were one of the dumbass, blind zebras standiong 15 feet away. I could not believe there was no official overturn or anything. If I were Raheem, I would have damn sure gotten myself ejected by doing everything I could to show the fans and the team that it was blatant robbery and complete ineptitude by the officials. That would’ve warranted a public apology (yeah right) from the officials after they watched the game in their little weekly summit.
Raheem was fine for not getting ejected, but if there was something he could’ve done like, I don’t know, maybe beat the living tar out of the blind zebra, the fans sure would’ve supported him.
Instead, we have the wind taken out of out patched sails by this. At least we can wake up as say we have an excuse. That’s much more than the Giants can say.

And I heard some Jackass on Dan Sileo this morning saying part of our collapse yetserday was the alck of fan presence. I will tell all of you this. There were plenty of fans there. The stadium was loud. When the Lions scored, it wasn’t like the Cowboys or Steelers. It wasn’t loud for them.
The team is running on back-ups who got gassed. But any loyal Bucs fan knows, the economy is bad and all Bucs fans are supporting the team, whether there of not. But those of us who go to the home games do a great job making up for the absences.
So if anyone wants to blame the Bucs loss on a lack of attendance, kiss the rest of the fans’ asses and shut your mouths. The players are playing their hearts out. It’s just more difficult when the original starters are wearing sweats on the sidelines helping to coach the back-ups.
We are doing far better than ANYONE expected this year. We need to close the year with class and continue building. What I saw from the offense yesterday, and even the defense, is a team truly on it’s way to greatness, and soon.
But with the Eagles and Falcons roaming the playoffs, any hopes of us getting past the Wild Card game of the playoffs with back-ups is a pipe dream. Let’s be realistic and support what is going on.

Anyone?

Jon:
You are right. That is an asinine premise. While it would be great for a soldout stadium, these guys are professionals, not kids in the Azalea Pee Wee League in St. Petersburg.

I did laugh at that response.
December 20th, 2010 at 9:55 am
absolute BS call
December 20th, 2010 at 10:22 am
Obviously it was a horrible call, but would it have been called if K2 didn’t wear flashy, white gloves???
December 20th, 2010 at 10:23 am
B.S. call but they still had the lead with 2:00 minutes to go.
December 20th, 2010 at 10:25 am
It has been like that all year! Baltimore: Arm Bar pass int? WTF! Atlanta: Clearly dropped Int! And yesterday, back to back pass int calls ignored! I’m jus sayin!
December 20th, 2010 at 10:31 am
The league clearly assigns the substandard refs to officiate the Bucs games!
December 20th, 2010 at 10:52 am
The Ghost of Jerry Markbreit called that game.
December 20th, 2010 at 11:38 am
Looks like Defensive pass interference since the defender is not looking at the QB.
Lousy call.

Good point on the white gloves by “Hunter Says:” They do stand out
but Detroit’s uniforms and helmets were white also. What color does KW normally wear in a game?
December 20th, 2010 at 2:18 pm
Stupid call and a dumb blog to blame it on white gloves. I dont care if he had neon gloves; if the defender “NEVER” plays the ball, and “NEVER” even looks for it. And from my perspective wouldn’t have known if the play was going, or over, because he wanted to go MMA on Winslow what Blind A$# Ref couldn’t see that. And then a corner gets to also go MMA on Ben, and try and yank his D@#* head off, with no call… I don’t wanna here that this stuff doesn’t cost us games, because if the correct call(s) are made, were a bunch of happy SOB’s right now… And we would have “WON”.. To hell with the NFL, I would personally like to be locked up in a room with a few of these Zebras, so I can go Talib on their candy A$*$. They were probably placing bets on the game and just hit it big!

Uh, I think the gloves thing was a joke guys…lighten up!
