Weather In Play At Frisco, Baltimore
November 18th, 2010Joe’s quick peek at Sunday’s weather forecast at Candlestick Park shows 57 degrees and rainy at kickoff. And there’s usually a good breeze at the ancient ballpark on the water.
Not exactly conditions the Bucs are used to and surely not ideal for the youngest team in football.
No use hoping for a revised forecast. It’s now rainy season in Northern California, where Joe lived a couple of years, and it’s pretty much cool, breezy and soggy every day out there through February.
Joe only got thinking about weather when he heard the Bucs-Ravens game the following week was bumped to a 4:15 p.m. start.
While many fans rejoiced because the Bucs would subsequently get more national attention with the later start in Baltimore, Joe headed for the liquor store thinking about the Ravens game now becoming virtually a cold weather night game, another tough new experience for the team.
And whaddya now, the current forecast for that game in Baltimore is 44 degrees at kickoff.
No excuses for the Bucs, of course, Joe’s just leery of any additional challenges facing the young Bucs on the road.

I love it! How great would it be to see our young Bucs in a mud bowl in Candle stick? I can already see Blount bouncing around in the mud and blood and the rain. Sounds like the makings of a great game!

Tampa has plenty of kids from cold weather areas, and remember the other team has to play in it too.

The Object will be on the scene cutting and slugging his way through the maddness

I think you raise a vaild concern, Joe.
I would hate for weather to be the cause of a loss. The Bucs have played in the rain, but cold rain?
Of the rookies, how many played college games in these conditions, Joe?

Both teams have to play on the same field…

I wouldn’t want the Ravens vs. Bucs game televised nationally anyway. I honestly see us getting our buts whooped in that game and I don’t want the whole country seeing that.

what game did we change with to get the 415 spot next weekend?

I honestly don’t mind seeing the bucs game getting switched to 415 against the Ravens, and I love it when the weather becomes a factor…that’s how i like it with the games since its more suited for the run, in some ways, i am very much Old School for someone who is into the technical side of the game

I lived around Baltimore for a couple of years and the weather there is always fun. But it’s only forecasted to go down to around 40 degrees though, that’s not cold (in my book) and it will only get to that temperature when it gets to be around 2:00 O’clock in the morning. It won’t be that cold during the game, thus I don’t think it will have much of an effect on the Bucs. At least I’m pretty sure it won’t.

As night sets in it always gets cooler.
The Bucs will be shivering.
