Jerramy Stevens Busted For “Intent To Sell”

October 24th, 2010

Joe used to use a nickname for Jerramy Stevens that bordered on crude yet was accurate given his history. Joe is inclined to use it again but vowed not to use nicknames for Bucs players.

Joe will let fans do that. Last night, per Anwar Richardson of the Tampa Tribune, Stevens was popped last night and charged with “intent to sell cannabis.”

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office website, Stevens was arrested yesterday at Cypress Street and Westshore Boulevard at 7:12 p.m. and booked at 8:30 p.m. He was released from jail after posting a $4,500 cash bond at 12:18 a.m. today.

Bucs spokesperson Jonathan Grella said Stevens will not against St. Louis today at 1 p.m.

“We’re deeply disappointed by this news. We take such matters seriously,” Grella said. “Obviously, Jerramy Stevens will not be participating today. We will address this matter with the seriousness it deserves, but in the meantime, we’re focused on the Rams game.”

The charges Stevens was hit with were possession of cannabis with intent to sell (felony), possession of cannabis (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

Richardson also reported that Stevens will not play today against the Rams.

Hi I’m Jeremy I’m an addict I have failed in life I cost my Team mate his job and millions of dollars I have used and abused myself and others for the sake of a cheap thrill. I got high enough to finaly find myself in a low place. cause it’s one two three strikes your out in the old ball game

  7. eric Says:

Ah Well, he wasn’t much of a contributer anyhow.

Ought to be a good ball game today. Go Bucs.

  8. Dew Says:

For me, I’m tired of people having there life ruined due to pot. Time to legalize it and stop the facade.

  9. Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

IS Tampa going “up in smoke” ?

  10. Joe Says:

    I guess Tanard talked?

    Outstanding blast! 🙂

  11. Abe Froman Says:

I doubt he was a drug dealer. As a former police officer, the “intent to sell” charge most likely means he had over a certain amount in his possesion, not that he was caught dealing.

That being said, this guy is out of strikes. See ya Jeremy!

  12. Pete 422 Says:

Just goes to show, “we are what we are” regardless of money or position in life.

  13. Gatorbuc15 Says:

    This $hit is getting comical.

  14. Westcoastbucsfan Says:

Yeah this is just stupid. Lucky for me I live in Cali. The legalization of pot will be on the ballot for this upcoming election so the players can just fly out to Cali and get high if they need to! haha

  15. Blackmagic00 Says:

Prop 19 will have a lot of players trying to get on Cali teams if it passes. lol

  16. Leroy Buttermilk Says:

Yeah that the answer fly out and get high how about fly around the field and make plays thats what we pay 2 c. if I wanted to see someone stoned and confused I watch chappelle reruns. You play the game to win not to get high

  17. Joe Says:

Your starting left tackle today, the pride of Florida’s most feared high school football factory, Ted Larsen of Palm Harbor.

    Earnest Graham is inactive.

  18. Dew Says:

Joe, you mean left guard. I gave away my seats so hoping to find the game on the net today. 🙂

  19. Joe Says:

    Dew:

    Correct, left guard. Joe’s bad.

  20. Buc You Says:

Some of these guys are dumber than a box of rocks. I thinking the smoking makes them delusional…. to the point that they can’t come to grips with reality that weed is illegal… and bad for their profession… NO MATTER what everyone else is doing. Jeez

  21. Patrick Says:

He was probably on his way to Tanard’s house!

  22. Miguel Grande Says:

Nothing wrong with smoking weed, its legal now in 14 states. I ‘m watching the game in England today, its a great feed, very interesting.

  23. gitarlvr Says:

It’s legal in 14 states. You mean 14 states of some other Country? Because weed is illegal in every state of America. Medical marijuana is legal in some states but that doesn’t mean everyone can smoke it legally. And no matter what the states do weed is completely illegal medically or otherwise at the federal level and federal law trumps state law. The feds can go in and arrest everyone in california with a medical marijuana card if they really want to. Doesn’t mean they will but they could and they do often raid and shutdown the medical marijuana dispensaries. If states keep making laws moving towards total decriminalization don’t be surprised if the feds step in and start slamming people in jail left and right. Im not saying its right but I highly doubt you will see people walking around the streets of california recreationally smoking weed.
