Trent Dilfer On Josh Freeman

October 12th, 2010

Perhaps one of the most hideous quarterbacks Joe has ever laid eyes on, but a man who will have you believe by the way he talks he was a 1990s version of Sammy Baugh, discusses Josh Freeman in this BSPN video.

Joe I find it funny that you continually bash Trent Dilfer but you have Jeff Carlson as a contributor to your website.

How are his credentials compared to Trent Dilfers?

    Joe here,

d-money – Joe does not say Dilfer is unqualified to give an intelligent opinion. Joe is just giving his opinion of Dilfer. …Two completely different animals.

Trent Dilfer and Merrill Hodge are the only talking heads on ESPN I can stand from an NFL standpoint

PS Maybe a little Herm Edwards also

Ironic, Dilfer bashed the Bucs saying they didn’t know how to develop a QB and they would “ruin” Freeman by playing him last year, that he should sit and watch for a couple years. So, in his ‘evalutation’ of him pre-draft – so he says in this video – he knew it would be easier for him in the NFL? What happened to ruining him by playing him too early? Unlike Joe, I think Dilfer is a moron. I do like his emotion and delivery in his “analysis”.

    bucfanjeff:

Don’t forget how Dilfer said Colt McCoy was the best quarterback in the draft last year, and let’s not forget that Dilfer also shares the same agent as McCoy and Dilfer helped groom McCoy for the combine.

I’m sure all of this would be news to Sam Bradford.

joe is always right..dont call him out on his B.S…

Joe, sincere question here…how do you think a young Trent Dilfer, coming out of college, would have done if he had the players the Bucs have now?

It just seems to me Dilfer was a victim of bad timing. He made plenty of mistakes, yes, but the Bucs never had a good quarterbacks caoch in those days either, and he did not have quality talent to throw to.

If he were here, young, in place of Freeman…same age as Freeman, how do you think he would turn out in say…2 years?

I suspect we’ll see a lot of nation media types backpeddling or pretending moments like that never happened this year.

2010 Bucs…playoffs? Heh, not according the media.

Dill bag of goo who cares. I like the fact the Freeman himself said post draft that he was going to prove he was better than sanchez and stafford he is showing and proving exactly that. The guy is money in the 4th quater
