The Bucs did it!
Joe cannot believe it. This news has to be confirmed by someone else. It can’t be true.
The Bucs signed an edge rusher??? There is a God!
Per Adam Schefter, by way of NFL superagent oily Drew Rosenhaus, the Bucs will sign Haason Reddick.
Joe wanted this Reddick in the worst way last year. Badly. From 2000-2023, Reddick had 50.5 sacks. Last year he tried to muscle the Jets — who traded for him from Eagles and Reddick didn’t want to go — for more loot and missed all of training camp and had a disaster of a season.
Now with a fresh start in a quality organization, Joe expects Reddick to be just fine.

Coach Bowles and Reddick have a great relationship. They are Temple alums and spoke for a good while after the Bucs eliminated the Eagles two seasons ago. Should do well in Coach Bowles system.

Hassan Reddick can hopefully fill the gap while Diaby and Braswell develop. If he does well he can get paid either here or elsewhere.

Last year, I was a big fan of this trade idea for Reddick! Being from NY, he doesnāt have a great reputation after his actions last season but I think this is a fresh start and minimal wear and tear on his legs from last year! One of these years, Jason Licht get the acknowledgment he deserves! Go Bucs!

Itās hilarious how Joe and all these fans completely flip the script. Everyone was rightfully bashing on the guy for being a greedy malcontent that went back in his word, and then when he finally decided to show up, he gets 1 sack in 10 games. Now everyone is jumping for joy? Insane.
Paying $14M for a money-focused 30 yr old that had 1 sack last season. SMH

Reddick is now the best edge rusher on the Bucs! That isn’t saying a lot but at least it is a step forward. Now they can focus on best player available in the draft instead of reaching with past picks JTS, Devin White, Logan Hall and further back, the “sure shot” OJ Howard.
The key for defensive players is high motor which Hall and JTS have never had. JTS should have been a red flag for sitting out senior year. Hall, never have seen that motor. Kancey has one. Happy for an edge rusher that had more than 20 sacks in college and played for a top 20 team. But if best player available is a WR or DB, I would be happy with either with one of the first 3 draft picks. Also LB with one of first 4.
Still best player available is the way to go. Its always iffy with the Bucs when you draft for need ala Josh Freeman, Jameis Winston, Devin White, JTS, Logan Hall, Vernon Hargreaves, JTS, Jonathan Banks, Noah Spence. Be patient and go with best available player!

Glad that is settled. Need to keep building DEFENSE. Would love it if big safety Enoworri available at 19. Pick up a couple of LB’s and a CB or two and the defense transition will be all good.

Here with a bottle of rebel bourbon taking a shot with you joe. This shot is to the resurrection of the Tampa Bay defense and and riddicks double digit sack seasons. Wow is this really real, really really really really real. With Riddick being in a place he feels can win games, no state taxes taken his money, comfortable weather, other defensive help on the other side and up on the interior it feels like Jason pierre-paul or Shaq Barrett type of free agent signing. Did licht do it again oh I think he did time will tell. Let’s f****** go can’t remember what I’ve been this stoked in a beginning of offseason ever
