Thought PR was the main/only site for Bucs content and analysis.
I happened to be in Vegas when the 2017 draft was on, I was flying solo at a draft party at one of the casinos when another solo Bucs fan approached me and we pitted in for the draft. I don’t remember this gentleman’s name but he put me onto JoeBucsFan and it’s been my go-to ever since.
Thanks for sharing. –Joe
I’m happy I wasn’t deep into roster construction and prospects at that time cause it would have been a disappointed evening. Instead me and my new buddy were pretty pumped that OJ slid to us. Yeah we had Brate but really thought OJ was gonna be a huge weapon for us.
I think it was the end of 2008 but definitely since the 1st of 2009…
Agree or disagree with the articles, Always look forward to and enjoy coming here every day…. KUDOS to you guys!

CHEERS!
Since 2014, it was my first smart phone and after downloading the Bucs official app and I read about here on a regular column by Joe Kania on the official website. It was like a “Morning Cup of Joe” with links to news from different websites that talked Bucs.
BTW that was how I learned about the Sage, at that time working for the newspaper…
Go Bucs and keep it going Joes
Alexandre Nascimento from Sao Paulo, Brazil
I started reading for years before I started commenting I do remember that much. I was glad to read that I wasn’t the only one so frustrated with this team and then came the savior Brad Johnson and TB12.
It’s been a long time and I can’t remember for sure, but I think I found this site through a link on the Bucs homepage? Was that a thing back then?
I do remember that it was about the time that they stopped allowing people (idjits) to post opinions with their articles. Probably a good call on their part.
A lot of ‘posters’ have come and gone over that time (changed names). Some were excellent, some not so much.
Speaking of which, I haven’t seen any posts from DR lately (one of the good ones) Does anyone know why? Hoping he’s doing well and just taking a break from some of the madness that appears in the comment sections.
Arguing about Barrett Ruud in either 2008 or 2009 as the team tried to make him out to be Luke Kuechly. He took over after Shelton Quarles was cut in 2007. Maybe I was spoiled with Nickerson and Brooks, but he was nowhere close to any of those players. The Bucs at the time tried to make him the face of the franchise.
2014, for me JoeBucsFan represent so mutch, has a french canadian, we never heard about the bucs, this site help me so mutch to improve my English, because I was able to find something that I like.
I remember being deeply facinate about the hole third person concept, that was so mutch mysterious to me about the Joe’s and that inner common sens that urge us to keep it real ! Even if the NFL made you belive that we are a good 3-13 team, no we are not. Over the year the podcast help me a lot recognize each of you article and I aways guess witch one write it. And dream about a pool where the reader guess who wrote it !
Finally, my wife know all about Florida Elite Restoration and I end up visiting the infamous Bruccado sandwich shop many years later, what a tourist experience !
I’ve been reading these pages since 2008, though I likely didn’t start posting until 2009. Before that, I spent years on the Trib and the Old Bucs Forum. It feels like just yesterday my kids were young adults, and now I’m blessed with 11 grandchildren. Time really does fly, doesn’t it? I still remember when the Joe’s reposted an old Q&A between me and Ira Kaufman. Feels like it was just yesterday.
JBF Archives: May 9th, 2010 – The Dilemma Of 2011
Per: Ira Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune (Question and Answer feature)
Question:
Many of our core players will be free agents in 2011. On the offensive side of the ball we have guys like Davin Joseph, Donald Penn and Jeremy Trueblood on the O-line, tight ends Jerramy Stevens and John Gilmore, wide receiver Maurice Stovall and running back Cadillac Williams. On the defensive side there is Stylez G White on the D-line, linebackers Geno Hayes, Barrett Ruud and Quincy Black, cornerback Ronde Barber and safeties Tanard Jackson and Sabby Piscitelli.
How do you think the Bucs will handle signing most of these guys? Or should we even care? Because if the 2010 draft was being held as the deepest draft in 10 or 20 years, the 2011 free agent period will be the largest one ever with more than 450 players available. -LUVMYBUCS, Las Vegas, Nev.
Answer:
The Glazers have said that any player who performs well over a period of time will be rewarded by the Bucs. Guys like Penn and Ruud are wondering when their day will come. You would think Tanard Jackson and Davin Joseph will be offered long-term extensions. After this season, the Bucs will have to identify their core players and build with them going forward. Penn, Ruud and Trueblood could all hit the market next March, assuming a new collective bargaining agreement is in place.

I get the business model, though I don’t always agree with some of the rebel rousing tactics. But I’ve always respected the Joe’s for the incredible hard work they’ve put into these pages, and everything they’ve had to overcome, especially dealing with the local pin and mic club. They’ve brought us all together in a way that no one else could. I can remember, when I was traveling for business and in various bars, wearing my Hardy Nickerson jersey, and guys would ask, “What website is that?” I’d tell them about how wild and crazy the site was, and next thing you know, they’d be signing up themselves.

been here since you started. i had a passion to write about all things bucs back in 2008 (worked for PFF). being from california and in my late 20’s, i stumbled upon your page and saw that i stood no chance. you were local, you had raw, sharp wit and experience to boot. you possessed an ability to relate to the reader and convey how you felt in so little words it left me envious. i was so naive i didn’t even understand the “joe” aspect and embarrased myself in a personal email to you when i found out your real name and that there were two of you. i decided i’d either imitate you and be called out as the fraud i very well would have been OR to just quit and make way for the better product. i chose the latter and also got rid of my pewter report subscription.
i don’t comment often here at all but i lurk every single day of my life. Joe appreciates your lurking. What a story!–Joe
i love my bucs and appreciate you joe’s. its been amazing watching you rise to the top. thank you for all your hard work and bringing the most fantastic product for us fans that i haven’t seen any other blog do… EVER.
why does this have to be a flash poll? why not give us 12 hours that way we all get a chance to participate at some point during the day.Joe does flash polls to keep it more of a quick snapshot of fans. Doing it that way also really curtails very passionate readers that want to vote more than once on different devices, so it’s more accurate regardless of the subject.–Joe
Anyway I came on board the Bucs train when Jameis did–I only watched college ball back then but thought I would try to follow the NFL to keep track of Jameis career. Now I really don’t care squat about Jameis and have gotten into worrying over the Bucs every Sunday. I am fully up to speed now with all things NFL. It started 2015.
I found Joebucsfan 2015 once Jameis was selected as QB for the Bucs. I am a FSU alumni. Kinda can’t stop being a Bucs fan as Joe keeps us entertained whether we lose or win. Early this year I was caught up in politics and rarely was on the site. Now I’m on daily. Hope Coen stays for the offense. Look forward to FA this year, we need edge x2, hope Licht makes that happen. Anyway glad you are here Joe–I always come here before and after the game. I love the podcast with Ira and the Joes and Sean Sullivan podcast is awesome too.
Sorry I am late posting now. I guess I was what you call a follower for years reading the well-written posts and the camaraderie and the edginess of the comments. Such a fun group here.
Looking in, I am glad I finally had the courage to post comments. Noticing that everyone is welcomed with open arms on here too. Thank you for this excellent venue and much success for many years to come.
