Slimy Saints Offense Offensive

January 5th, 2025

New Orleans QB Spencer Rattler.

Since the slimy Saints have come off a bye, their offense has been horrendous.

As BSPN points out, the slimy Saints, today’s Bucs opponent, haven’t broken 20 points in a game for the past five straight games. That’s bad.

Further, this five-game streak is currently tied for their franchise-worst. If the Bucs can hold the slimy Saints to 20 points or below, it will be the worst streak in slimy Saints history.

Don’ cha’ just wanna cry?

The Bucs are in the middle of the pack of the NFL in average points allowed, 17th. But with this offense, the beat-up Bucs defense ought to have a respectable outing this afternoon.

Since the slimy Saints’ bye week in Week 12, New Orleans has averaged 11 points a game. That’s brutal.

If the Bucs somehow throw away this game and let the New Orleans’ offense go crazy, it will go down as one of the worst choke jobs in history.

    Anyone get big mouth cam Jordan’s take on his ass team

  4. Oneilbuc Says:

    Y’all need to stop with this so call Saints rival as if they look at us the same way. They’re big rival to them is the falcons they hate the falcons more than they hate us . Now I look at them as a divisional rival but I look at every team we play as rival we play.

  5. MadMax Says:

    Shut up oneil, i look at it howeer i want, they hate us

  6. Drunkinybor Says:

    Spencer has resting pouty brat face. Rest assured the Bucs will give Spencer way way too much credit and be cautious like hes Dan fouts in San Diego airing it out. Bowles Goal and Number 1 priority in a passing league is to A. Stop the run B. Stop the run C. Stop the run D. Stop the run E. all the way to Y. Stop the run, then Z. Stop the run, but look out be a little cautious look out for a pass…..maybe.

    When you get a moment

    * Donovan Ezeiruaku, LOLB, Boston College
    * Sebastian Castro, NCB, Iowa
    * Barrett Carter, MLB, Clemson
    * Darien Porter, CB, Iowa St.
    * Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
    * Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State
    * Benjamin Yurosek, TE, Georgia

    Note: I had to pull the safety from Notre Watts. Look, I like the kid, but a safety missing that many open-field tackles? That’s a problem. Now, I get it—Darin Porter’s got some work to do in that area too. But let’s not forget, the man just switched over from receiver, so there’s some grace there. Zyon, clone? If this young man locks in and grinds, mark my words—he’s going to be an absolute steal.

    Trade Proposal:
    * To Colts: 2026 2nd-round pick, 2026 4th-round pick, conditional 2027 3rd-round picks
    * To Bucs: DeForest Buckner

    Plan: Restructure Buckner’s contract by converting part of his salary into upfront bonus money and adding two void years on the back end for cap flexibility.

    * DeForest Buckner
    * Vita Vea
    * Calijah Kancey

    Note: This sets up a strong rotation with Logan Hall providing valuable impact off the bench.

  9. Leopold Stotch Says:

    Yeah, maybe before the Mike Evans/Lattimore thing they hated the Failcons more. It definitely got amplified when Brady joined up and now they absolutely hate us. So many dirty hits and late hits, not to mention retiring Brees (who was the only decent person on that team). Now I sympathize them and their city with what happened. I think we all should for our countrymen, but that’s where it ends. I hate the Aints and I know there’s no love lost.

  10. Leopold Stotch Says:

    Sorry for the double post, but my goodness what a horrible trade proposal. Bro is going to be 31 and you want to give up that much draft capital?

  11. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    This trade proposal is a calculated move that balances risk and reward. The inclusion of a conditional 2027 3rd-round pick ensures the team only pays the full price if DeForest Buckner meets performance or playtime benchmarks. If he falls short, the team retains that valuable draft capital. It’s a smart safeguard that makes the deal more than reasonable.

    Buckner’s addition would immediately elevate the defensive line, creating a dominant trio alongside Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey. His proven ability to disrupt offenses and command double teams would open opportunities for the entire defense. This is the kind of move championship teams make—turning a potentially strong defense into a truly elite one.

    The financial aspect also works in the team’s favor. By restructuring Buckner’s contract with bonus money upfront and void years on the back end, the team gains cap flexibility while securing a veteran leader. This trade isn’t about hoarding picks; it’s about making a serious push for a championship. Winning takes bold decisions.

  12. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Plenty of players have great seasons but don’t hit playtime benchmarks due to a strong rotation (like Hall). In this case, if that happens, the conditional 3rd doesn’t activate, meaning the trade likely costs just a 2nd and 4th in 2026. Again, It’s a calculated, low-risk move.

  13. BucVoyager Says:

    No way should we give up that kind of draft capital for an old player. Draft picks are too valuable and we need defensive help

  14. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

    I’m not crazy about that trade, but Buckner would be a great get for a little bit lower price.

    Either way, you are definitely on the right track. This off-season JL needs to do SOMETHING to address the line other than / in addition to the draft.

    Now the soul searching question for all of us, what if it comes down to Chris Godwin or an elite DL? I personally think there are enough vets on the team willing to restructure to make both possible, but it really may come down to that decision

  15. George R Says:

    BucVoyager so you wouldn’t give up JTS and hall for him? The Draft is a crap shoot when you are drafting in the back half of the draft.

  16. Marky mark Says:

    Lots of good QBs in the draft. Because of NIL and the portal QBs are staying 4-6 years and coming out NFL ready like Bo and Jalen.

  17. Marky mark Says:

    George R…The draft is much less of a crapshoot. See above

  18. RustyRhinos Says:

    Myles Garrett would be a great addition with Vea, Kancey, YA YA. {Would he want to join Baker in Tampa bay?} I do hope he gets a better Offense to go along with what he brings to the Defense he plays on..

    I have no disrespect for Cam Jordan. Wish we had drafted him instead of who the “Rockstar” chose in that draft. Jordan would have been a great Buccaneer.

    Hate playing against him, He defiantly brings his skills and disrespected attitude every game against us. Enjoy watching him play everyone else in the NFC SOUTH.

  19. Usedtocould Says:

    Oh Neil, they can get more excited for the birds all they want. Two questions for you, who won drew brees’s last game? Who caught Drew’s last pass? How many chips do the aints have?

  20. Beeej Says:

    Since going all-in during the Brady years, the Bucs seem to be avoiding any of that ‘mortgage the future’ crap. They gonna build thru the draft come heck or high water. Added bonus: cheap player for 4 years. If Bucky was a free agent, you think he’d be making $1.3 million a year?

    LUVMYBUCS

    Congrats on two well thought out and well written posts.

    You really covered all the details and made excellent points.

    I agree it would present a formidable defensive front. My concern right now is in the middle of the D!

    Who is going to play ILB next year? LVD if he wants probably can be another London Fletcher and play a year or two more, but even he is not certain.

    Winfield’s loss certainly hurt and if he comes back fully recovered that would be major. But again who is going to play between the DB’s and DL. I like your idea LUV now can you fix that problem?

  22. Lightningvinny Says:

    Watch the Shaq attack going forward,,, he’s gonna be hungry

  23. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Not to be confused with the Bucs defense being offensive!

  24. Joe in Michigan Says:

    Like the choke jobs against Atlanta? How did Kirk Cousins do vs. the rest of the league? We probably won’t see it today, but we’ve seen plenty (too many) of choke jobs from Bowles.

  25. MadMax Says:

    Just waking up @LUV, and my power is down….too much on the grid i guess lol….but I’ll check those out today. Hopefully i can catch the game at one of these bars down here.

  26. Jeff Says:

    Either the Bucs win and go to the playoffs or they lose and fire Clueless Todd and hire Coen for HC.

  28. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

    I thought this was about the bad Saints offense. Instead we have to endure the draft “experts” a month early. SMH.

    Back to topic….losing teams are often overlooked. Caution should be the word if the day. How about a 3 touchdown lead going into the 4th and let the backups get some experience?

    GO BUCS!!!

  29. MadMax Says:

    ^we cover all bases pal….nobody forces you to read our posts so dont get too but hurt over it lol

  30. Joe in Michigan Says:

    There was a poster yesterday that said you have to have successful NFL Head Coaching experience to be able to criticize Todd Bowles…In his/her theory, MadMax would have to be Mark Dominic or Matt Millen to talk about the Draft.

  31. unbelievable Says:

    Joe wrote the same thing about the Broncos, Niners, Chiefs and Cowboys too… how’s that turn out?

    Joe just loves jinxing this team doesn’t he?

  32. New Baby MoJo Says:

    Stop throwing the GD ball to Shepard!!!!

  33. New Baby MoJo Says:

    Fire Todd Bowles mid game!!!!

  34. MadMax Says:

    Luv, yes, Darien Porter could be a great pick for CB, Carter also for LB…just dont know where they’ll fall.

    Emmanwori is climbing, probably going 1st rd…the guy’s vertical is nuts! I wont have a problem with that as our first if we decide to go that route. Then grab his teammate Kennard to replace JTS….and of course you know I want Skattebo, but its a toss up between him and a CB for the 3rd. If we could land Porter with a 4th and Skattebo 3rd, that would be awesome.

    Emmanwori
    Kennard
    Skattebo
    Porter
    Carter
    then another CB

    and that trade proposal is awesome, Ive always liked Buckner and he still has some left in the tank.

  35. MadMax Says:

    @Joe, lol, its crazy. Im just one of Jason’s dudes.
