“We Want To Give It To The Fans”
January 2nd, 2025The holiday season may be over (what a drag) but that doesn’t mean the Bucs aren’t in a giving mood. At least, that is what Zyon McCollum said.
McCollum acted yesterday like New Year’s Day was Christmas Eve. But then again, he’s always wearing that big smile. So maybe he wasn’t in a holiday mood?
McCollum admitted there is a lot of buzz at One Buc Palace this week because Sunday’s win-and-in game against the slimy Saints has a playoff feel. He said one reason there is electricity in the air at Bucs HQ is the team still has that holiday giving mood.
Knowing the magnitude of Sunday’s game, McCollum said the Bucs sees it as a gift opportunity Bucs loyalists.
“We want to give [another home game] to the fans and give it to the city of Tampa,” McCollum said. “To be able to clinch at home is a big deal.
“To be able to clinch a division and to seal [another home game] and to stay at home, it’s big time.”
That is big time. While the Bucs are not a dominant home team, players would much rather have a playoff game than at a frozen NFC North city.
The way the Bucs played in Los Angeles three weeks ago and stomped out the Chargers, Joe wouldn’t think going back to the City of Angels would be such a terrible task.

Hopefully you’re talking about the Super Bowl & not just another home game. A Super Bowl would be nice but with Bowles there I can’t see it. We’d need a miracle & we’d need to be spiking the eggnog & punch of the rest of the teams we’d be playing.😁

THE GIFT OF GIVING!😃

For Tampa to make the NFC playoffs, they must win their division.
Then, as division winners, they would play at home unless they were playing another NFC division winner.
The only NFC division winner that plays outside is Philadelphia where it looks to be mighty cold with high temperatures around freezing.
I don’t want to jinx the Bucs, but I don’t think that I will be rooting for the Eagles to win.

How about everyone pray. Sacrifice chickens. Anything.
Every time a Bowles coached team has had a convincing win, they go completely incontinent the following week. The trend is without variance. You mean like winning in Week 2 after beating the Commanders soundly?–Joe

The odds and track record suggest the Bucs will show they need to be wearing Depends by the beginning of the 3rd quarter.
Go Panthers. Maybe Canales still feels loyalty to his old bosses and comes up big.

Holiday giving mood, love it! Zyon always does have a smile on his face. Good kid. Our team has no divas and are a solid team through and through. They are thinking play-offs now for the fans and for Tampa Bay. Go Bucs!

NFL.com has an exhausting explanation of everyone’s playoff possibilities. I read it twice, have no clue who our playoff opponent would be

Beeej. First we’ve got to win this division. I really think we will too. Then we begin the next week at home and I really don’t think it’ll matter much who we play. I really think we win that one too. Then we either stay at home or go on the road the next week. It shouldn’t matter though as I think we win that one too. Then a game(the NFC championship) could also be on the road or at home. Shouldn’t matter though because we will for sure win that one! And what a great Super Bowl it will be especially because we have to win that one. Hope that helps you figure out the playoffs Beeej. Happy New Year!!

Winning Sunday and finishing 10-7 will be just fine with this old Bucs fan. Nice New Year’s present to us, too. Go Bucs!!

I don’t want to hear from any defender on this team
This defense is awful
No interviews, no social media comments, nothing
Watch film and get better on Defense because, this defense is TRASH
