Steelers Offensive, Defensive Lines Get Stronger

Bad enough the Bucs got hit with the horrible news that Tanard Jackson is done for the season (and maybe for good). Now word comes from Pittsburgh that two key elements of the Steelers defensive and offensive lines will return Sunday against the Bucs.
Rotund nose tackle Casey Hampton and offensive left tackle Max Starks are expected to start Sunday, so writes Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Nose tackle Casey Hampton and left tackle Max Starks are on course to return to the starting lineup Sunday when the Steelers visit the Buccaneers. Hampton didn’t play last Sunday against the Titans because of a hamstring injury. Starks was sidelined by a sprained ankle. Hampton, Tomlin said yesterday, “has looked really good in terms of getting himself ready to go this week.” Starks, he added, is expected to participate fully in practice today.
With the exception of safety Troy Polamalu, one could argue that Hampton may be the most important player on the Steelers. The guy is so huge and so strong that he literally envelops two blockers each play, which allows the Steelers linebackers to do their crazy things, such as James Harrison dropping back into pass coverage.
Let’s just say this news makes Joe nervous.

Yeah, but they also coming off injuries, have not played much and it still will be hot and heat and injuries may make them non-factors or at least lesser factors.
Of course they could come out and cement their tickets to the pro bowl too.

The win is looking less and less likely now… hopefully Batch doesnt destroy Sabby or whoever starts.
I cant believe this Tanard crap, what a fool. It really hurts since he was so remorseful last time.

Im getting really frustrated……last year we sucked…blah blah blah…this year were 2-0 and its because of who we have played, we can only beat whoever is put in front of us.
I couldn’t be happier that the Steelers are coming to town and that they are 2-0, not only do we have the chance to knock them down, it builds instant credibility for our squad.
I’m with you BucFanJeff…..what are they going to say when we win?

I’m right there in your wheelhouse. You can only play who you are scheduled to play, regardless of team health of schemes. I also like playing under the radar. After Sunday’s game we won’t be beneath the radar any more. Go Bucs!

I still smell an upset for Tampa. Remember, we beat the Saints at home, and they, not the Steelers, are the NFL Champions. And that was last years team, we are a whole bunch better this year.

I agree with Pete about the heat, and I’m still thinking positive. I don’t think the Steelers are quite as good as all the National Media does. Good defense, but they can’t score points very well so far.
