Lavonte David Says Why He’s Sure Bucs Will Make A Run

Will the Bucs win five of their last six games and make the playoffs? Opinions vary across Bucs fandom.
Iconic Bucs linebacker Lavonte David is confident the Bucs will make a run. Yesterday, Kay Adams of Up & Adams asked David why he’s so sure.
“We’re a resilient team,” David said. “You know, we know how to handle the ups and the downs. We got a different attitude. Play very hard. Effort is incredible for everybody, and everybody just loves to play football. That’s what I really like. Everbody’s searching for the same goal. Everybody wants to do the same thing. Everybody wants to win.”
David went on to praise the coaches and player-driven leadership, which he said will get the team past tough times.
In his own leadership move, David said he invited the entire team to join him for a showing Gladiator II very recently. Attendance was good. Fun was had, and he said that included some coaches.
David picked up the bill, including snacks, and said that kind of team bonding can make a difference.

The Man! Glad he is getting out there on shows like Kay Adams, talking numbers, HoF, getting casual fans a little up to speed on the humble greatness of Lavonte!
Speaking of guys playing hard and being resilient… I hope we get Tykee back healthy this week. Izien is probably more needed on the back end with Whitehead on the shelf.

I believe in one of these upcoming games things may not work out for our offense. Think 49ers game. And we’ll be up something like 19-17 with our defense taking the field at midfield with a minute left to play. And we will stop them COLD. I don’t think it’ll be this week- I think Carolina has been on Bowles,Coen, and Bakers list for awhile and I would hate to be Dave Canales this week. But because of leaders like L. David it’s going to happen. Last week I wrote the number 11 on a piece of paper and stuck it in my billfold. I scratched thru 11 on Sunday afternoon and wrote 10. 10 to go. I’m riding with LaVonte.

Honestly, I’m very curious to see how these matchups vs. Carolina go. Should be a bit of a chess match seeing as Canales played against Bowles’ defense every day in practice and vice versa. Who will have the advantage? We’re obviously the better team but familiarity in schemes will definitely play a major roll.

I’m sensing a gradual increase in performance by the Bucs defense. Playing strong teams like the Chiefs, Ravens and others has helped the D a lot !! Bucs will need a strong defensive performance in every game to complement the excellent offense !! If this happens we can beat any team in the league !!

I was wondering the same thing. I think the wild card will be Coens offense against Canales D. I expect (hope for) us to get off to another fast start and our NEW offense to hit its stride this sunday.

Absolutely TB is making a run. As long as Vita Vea is blocking for Baker Mayfield and the RBs stay healthy we’re gonna run right into another division championship. Oh ya!!!

We have to strong of a run game and a top-5 QB. Guys are getting healthy and we’re learning from mistakes. I mean it’s all starting to gel for Tampa at the right time. As it should be.
Todd Bowels has the best 3rd down % team in the NFL and when we’re 4th and short we should consider heavily about going for it because we have a great offense and the more opportunities they have they more success they will get from it. Attack attack attack. Win win win.
