More Fireworks From Bucky Irving
November 24th, 2024Another special, special day from the best rookie running back in the National Football League.
This time, Bucky Irving made his mark catching and taking handoffs.
Irving wasn’t find holes and making guys miss early on running plays, but that changed late against the Giants when Irving exploded for a 56-yard run. He finished with 12 carries for 87 yards.
As a receiving back is where Irving was featured in the first half. Rachaad White had no first-half catches but Irving caught all six balls thrown his way for 64 yards, including a 32-yarder that will make all kinds of NFL highlights shows tonight.
Irving has now caught a whopping 32 of 34 balls thrown his way this season, an incredible percentage that may be the best in the NFL after this weekend’s games. On those 32 catches, Irving is averaging 7.87 yards per catch.
Every week Irving is more and more impressive. It’s said that teams need a stout running game to succeed in the postseason.
The Bucs may not have a playoff defense, but they certainly have a playoff-caliber back.

Fantastic…we have 3 really good backs and all are healthy…
I would note that we played n almost penalty free game today.

Very quickly making RW redundant. If he also gets good at blocking, I’d think we’d be OK to move RW on, given Bucky has already shown he’s more elusive and better at hitting the holes, plus we have Tucker grabbing limited opportunities.

He reminds me of Barry Sanders…..just keep feeding him the ball and eventually he’ll pop a big one. He makes something out of nothing routinely…..White had some good runs but if the hole isn’t there, he’s not creating anything.

Bucky is magical to watch. Impressive indeed.

If Coen would use White more as a third down back/receiver I would keep him, but Irving needs 20 runs a game. He’d easily break 100 yards a game and is a very good receiver. Tucker a disappointing today but he needs more touches to keep in game shape. It’s crazy we scored all tds on the ground

How did he last till the third round? The Bucs got lucky!

Draft another RB, Jason, and some edge and more linemen. Love that we get the trenches.
November 24th, 2024 at 6:15 pm
Bucky reminds me of Warrick Dunn as well. All smaller backs who have/had a knack for finding/making a hole to squirt through.
Go Bucs!!

How about that OLINE 0 sacks fought hard all day Skule did good

The Defense can get better. Simplify it. Put the onus on the defensive line. Let them lead. Embarrass the DBs as the weak link and ask them if they are men or not.

For all the Bucky has done on the field Bowles thinks he’s a situational running back. It’s not hard to tell why this team isn’t leading the nfc south.
November 24th, 2024 at 6:59 pm
For the love of God can the Bucs stop wasting downs giving the ball to that piece of garbage Tucker?
November 24th, 2024 at 7:09 pm
Rod Munch!! I’ve seen your player evaluations over the past couple of years and to say the least you’d go hungry if you were trying to make a living from that. Hard to sit White or Bucky that’s true. But Coen knows. And some way somehow Sean Tucker is going to get the chance to show us what he has. Stay tuned.
November 24th, 2024 at 7:55 pm
I have the uncannily accurate dread and foresight of a long time Bucs fan that Sean Tucker will be a super star…. for another team.
November 24th, 2024 at 9:06 pm
We need to rejoice that the head coich didn’t have him on the field for the end of the Niners game.
November 24th, 2024 at 9:18 pm
Whee is that guy that was calling us morons for calling Bucky the true number 1 coming out of preseason….
November 24th, 2024 at 9:22 pm
And he has a QB blocking for him, no other RB has that.
November 24th, 2024 at 9:59 pm
We’re there Bucky, Bucky chants after the 56 yard run? How many Buccaneer fans were in the crowd?
November 24th, 2024 at 10:24 pm
Pewter Bucky is situational cause of some foot injury I think it’s his toe or something that’s why he’s on a pitch count and gets some easier practices. Not sticking up for bowels but he did say Bucky isn’t 100. Tucker is a good back up to have in case either white or Bucky go down or to relieve them but he deff shouldn’t be starter over white or Bucky.
