Chiefs 30, Buccaneers 24 (OT)

November 4th, 2024

Well, the Bucs had plenty of chances to seize tonight’s game against the Super Bowl champs. But the run defense imploded, the offense had some hiccups and the Chiefs owned the biggest moments.

Ballgame.

Joe isn’t into moral victories, but at least the Bucs defense shook off some stink of the past month a bit and found an interior pass rush and nickel cornerback Tykee Smith’s return from a concussion was darn impressive.

Still, the defense did what it does best: allow easy yards and showcase a lack of cornerback experience and talent behind injured Jamel Dean. Joe is starting to think losing veteran backup corner Bryce Hall in Week 1 to a major injury is a critical piece to this season.

Tonight wasn’t all on the young guys defensively. Antoine Winfield Jr. inexplicably didn’t make a play on a deep ball he was tracking, which led to a DeAndre Hopkins catch at the 3 yard line. The Chiefs scored their first touchdown three plays later. Even Todd Bowles called Winfield out for that in a halftime sideline interview.

Joe is so darn proud of the Bucs’ offense and the fight Baker Mayfield showed in the fourth quarter to tie the game. What a final drive — 10 plays, 71 yards and a touchdown with just seconds to spare.

And Sterling Shepard? Man, what a warrior he was making big catch after big catch in the rain.

Overtime arrived. Baker Mayfield called heads and lost (again). And the Bucs put up no resistance on the OT touchdown drive.

Should gone for the 2 smh

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Gutless

  3. Chad Says:

    Baker called tails actually

  4. Cobraboy Says:

Closer than I expected, but the playoffs are out of sight now.

    D draft in April.

  5. ModHairKen Says:

That sucked. Would rather they lost by getting stopped on 2 point rather than get humiliated with a wet paper towel defense.

  6. Posey99 Says:

Todd Bowles thinks his defense can stop mahomes, when the offense was on a roll to go for 2. What an idiot.

  7. Daniel Z Says:

Yeah that was a false start on the play to Kelce. Weird hoe there was no call there…

  8. Bucswin? Says:

Bowls and refs made the difference. They both made game changing plays.

  9. Kenton Smith Says:

    Right Tackle jumped

  10. infomeplease Says:

2 point conversion for the win! BUT NO!

  11. Nutterbuccer Says:

Classic chiefs game. Mahomes gets ball in OT and drives down for a td. Getting sick of that guy….fire Bowles

  12. DirtyBucs Says:

I’d have been fine going for 2 at the end of regulation, no matter the outcome.

  13. Kgh4life Says:

    Bowles should’ve went for 2.

  14. Peter Says:

Vea was held on the td score watch it
    Would have been 10 yd

  15. Weebs10 Says:

    I hate NFL OT rules

  16. Regulator16 Says:

Bowles can go. At KC with a chance to go for 2 to win, and you play scared. Never saw the ball again. I’m over his softness. What a waste of a hard fought game by the players.

  17. StormyInFl Says:

Bowles sucks. This loss is on him.

Leave his worthless ass in KC.

  18. Jw94buc Says:

    Bowles needs to be fired.

  19. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Bucs D still stunk out loud.

Going for 2 was not the right call, though. We could have just as easily won the coin toss as lost it. Just bad breaks, missed opportunities and an inability to adjust on defense.

  20. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

Todd Bowles Must Be Fired NOW! He plays To LOSE!

  21. Bucco2 Says:

    Season over

  22. HC Grover Says:

Get Bowles out HE cost the game. More Blunders….they just keep coming.

  23. JA Says:

    Defense bad, and exhausted!
Everyone alive goes for two except Todd Bowles.
Rather lose going down fighting than on a coin flip.

  24. LittleSage Says:

Another classic Todd Bowles defensive meltdown. Please fire him immediately

  25. Maggs Says:

He’s got to go. Will never win with this guy. Must go for 2 in that scenario.

  26. BucfaninMi Says:

No more defensive HCs they’re all the same. Too conservative

  27. Oneilbuc Says:

They wanted the Chiefs to win this game so bad not one holding call to the whole game. But Bowles should have went for the 2

  28. Frank the Tank Says:

I guess the Chiefs false start wouldn’t have mattered eh refs?

  29. Curse of Gruden Says:

There you go ladies, that one’s on Bowles.
The defense is gassed and he plays for OT.

  30. H-TownDarryl Says:

Get Todd Bowles outta here with this scary ass coaching!!!!!

  31. SteveK Says:

We needed to go for 2 instead of kicking it for a tie and overtime. Chicken sh!t football.

  32. StormyInFl Says:

Get rid of this DEI hire of a head coach.

  33. Conte Piscatelli Says:

Fire Bowles, he coaches scared. Fire Bowles!!!

  34. Mhystc Says:

Bowles played well enough to win the game minus our top 2 weapons, defense is the weak link.. that’s on bowles

  35. Jugheadfla Says:

And yet the offense still has to score 30 points to win a game…..disgusting….he needs to go Joe

  36. JustOneGame Says:

I guess false starts and holding aren’t a thing in OT

  37. HC Grover Says:

    Chicken Legs Bowles strikes again.

  38. Weebs10 Says:

Love how Joe Buck casually points out the chiefs got away with a false start the play before the td. Chiefs get away with everything

  39. Dom Says:

I am so sick and tired of Todd Bowles being a coward
Awful game management at the end. Called a timeout at the 2 instead of letting the clock run out and not going for 2 to win the game. You don’t give Mahomes another chance. Liam Coen for HC

  40. RVATom Says:

I KNOW I am biased. But the referees were sh*t tonight

  41. Razor Ramone Says:

    Gotta go for 2.

  42. Let ‘em bake Says:

Baker 112 qbr. 75% completion. Haters, please don’t blame this loss on qb1. Our secondary is simply second rate.

  43. Rick Says:

No-balls Bowles sucks! No fire – like our D!

  44. Tackleblockwin Says:

Our HC is a coward sometimes.

  45. Bucfan1988 Says:

    Absolutely done with Bowles now…
    Weak-ass pathetic defense…

Josh Hayes is PURE GARBAGE as a corner.
Should have given Funderburk more time…

They just need to make sure that they don’t lose Liam Coen No matter what.
He is by far the best offensive coordinator this team has ever had

  46. VOT Says:

Fire Todd in the locker room

End of first half and end of game decisions are bush league – this guy is a joke

  47. Sharp J Says:

Time to get rid of Bowles when we get boat raced at home against the 49ers next week.

  48. C-spann4 Says:

    Fire Bowles

  49. Mondy Says:

Who else isn’t shocked when you Todd no balls Bowles as your HC.

  50. D-Mac Says:

My new nickname for Bowles is Scarecrow. He coaches scared and has no brain!

  51. RVATom Says:

Should never come to the refs. But at this point what do we have to rely on? It isn’t good Defense.

  52. BCULAW Says:

Bowles gets too conservative on defense when the game gets tight. Really missing the “no risk it, no biscuit” approach this team used to have. Lots of heart in that locker room, just need more aggression.

  53. ElioT Says:

    San Fran gonna smash

  54. infomeplease Says:

Second, BM6 should not be calling the coin toss. I believe he hasn’t gotten one right this season!

  55. Bucco2 Says:

    Sick of watching this

  56. rrsrqnc Says:

Bucs just don’t have the personnel on defense, you can blame Bowles, but the problem is the LBs. Our interior has more sacks than the OLBs. We have one good corner, they don’t even go at McCollum. Whitehead is a step slow, Britt made a play and still did not hear JTS name all game.

  57. Sacker58 Says:

    Well,golf on Sundays!!

  58. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

Liam Coen coached a terrible game as well as Todd Bowles! Who is the genius who called a time out at the one yard line? Never have I seen such an incompetant team in the world! I am disgusted. I knew Tamoa was going to lose!

  59. Peter Says:

BTW should have gone for 2

  60. Steve Says:

Why wouldn’t you got for 2 and take the chance to win or lose in one play, while you have them on their heels? What’s the alternative – either a whole drive (multiple plays) or they win the toss. That’s head coach decision making that loses games.

  61. Coburn Says:

A valiant effort by shepherd, otton, Mayfield… McCollum, David, vea, kancey. Bad coaching by Bowles and what was most damning to me is that KC looked like they just wanted it more. We had no killer instinct to go up on them more a couple times and it’s like when mahommes got hurt instead of trying to see if you could capitalize it’s like we just decided we would leave him alone. Soft zone in overtime, playing scared. And I loved what Coen did except a couple things. Tucker was running well then nerve saw him again, Jarret flashes then same thing

  62. LVMYBUCS Says:

We will never be a SB team with Bowles at the helm.

  63. PSLBucfan Says:

Buy, Sell, or Hold tomorrow. I say sell and fire Bowles.

  64. PassingThru Says:

Did anyone really expect a false start flag? The refs weren’t even motivated to flag KC illegal formations.

  65. Herbiebuc Says:

The right tackle jumped all game!! Even the chiefs crowd gasp it’s crazy ! That phantom face mask against Tristan wirfs stopped all our momentum we battled the refs this whole game

  66. Dick LeBeau Jr. Says:

So let’s act like we didn’t play the 7-0 Chiefs to overtime. They had to earn the W. We didn’t give it to them. No matter what the play on the field looked like. They still had to beat us in OT with a depleted team. No team in this league is going to win games and you’re down so many players in key positions, so let’s stop pretending like this team is any different. I wanted to see a competitive game and that’s what I saw. We did not get blown out. Also, if we would’ve gone for two and not converted, y’all would’ve been crying about that too. Blowzo should’ve kicked the field goal and went for OT. Y’all funny. Go job Bucs not looking halfway decent on a Monday night game.

  67. Srqbuc Says:

Terrible no call at the end of the game. But don’t let that take away from the fact that Todd should be fired for not going for the win after the touch down. He was delusional thinking we could stop them in over time. Defense was gassed.

  68. BallHawk75 Says:

21-22 He is what we thought he was. Useless piece of trash.

Only PC politicis are keeping him employed.

  69. rrsrqnc Says:

He can’t blitz because of young corners and any QB worth its salt will pick it apart.

  70. Alstott40 Says:

Away, in the rain, against a team way better than us, if you can win it in 1 play with a 2pt conversion you do it. And we chose not too so we can rely on a defense that gave up 3 tds on 3rd down.

  71. Bucamania Says:

    Same story different week.

Bowles plays scared and the defense poops themselves when the game is on the line.

  72. NYbucsfan Says:

    Fire toilet bowl!!!

  73. Red86 Says:

A great well fought game. Proud of the players effort this time. Slowing the game down gave us a chance.

  74. Will Says:

We lost that game due to piss poor 3rd day play by the defense. Offense is still putting up points defense has to get off the field. Winfield has to break up the long pass to Dhop instead of waiting for the ball. He had 2 chances later to make up for it and was just a step too slow.
I’m not a Bowels hater but I’m tired of him playing zone and not being aggressive.
Josh Hayes got his welcome to the NFL tonight. Guy was totally out of his league.

  75. FlumundaCheese Says:

Bowles is just a terrible coach. Inexplicable use of a timeout with 30 seconds in regulation, could’ve bled the clock and kept Mahomes off the field or at least limited his opportunity. Then you have to go for two after you just washed the chiefs defense, rainy, wet ball, against an undefeated team on the road – playing with house money. Roll the dice. Instead we get conservative and bleed out in overtime without touching the ball, just like the 1st Atlanta game. I’ve seen more than enough of Bowles.

  76. Again Says:

Got reF’d again and Todd is Todd. If I am on the offense I am pi$$ed. Get rid of Bowles and Licht. Both are mediocre and feckless.

  77. Frank the Tank Says:

Don’t get too invested in the games – the refs *vegas cough* decide who wins.

  78. Coburn Says:

Why does the undefeated team looks like they want it more than the team in a musr win? A team that lacks the want to at eend of the game in this situation isn’t going anywhere. Only good thing is some valuable snaps for young guys next year when hopefully we have a new HC (maybe Coen)

  79. MegaFailure Says:

    4-6 incoming

  80. Rick Says:

Jason – EVERYONE knew Tampa was going to lose!

  81. Bucco2 Says:

Would be nice to have someone that thinks winning superbowls is fun

  82. RVATom Says:

Sterling Shep was awesome. I don’t get why Bake doesn’t throw to McM and Palmer. I don’t see the field of course. But sheesh. Got receivers? Throw to em.

  83. Jason Says:

Gotta go for 2 there on the road. That’s how you gotta beat those fn guys.

  84. LVMYBUCS Says:

Even the commutators where like Bowles will regret not going for 2 tomorrow. Bowles just not HC material

  85. Hail2dabucs Says:

I’m so tired of this defence
    Get corners and linebackers
Can we get edge rush help
    Here’s to next year
    Thanks toilet bowl

  86. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Bowels should never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER call anybody out since he doesn’t step down because of his ineptitude and ineffective defense

  87. Curse of Gruden Says:

    Disastrous, Exposed, Incompetent: Todd Bowles.

  88. Cometowin2 Says:

Bowles can’t even call the coin flip correct. Called tails in the OT loss to the Falcons. Defense gives up the booty. Fire Bowles. Do not lose Liam!!!

  89. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Offense missing its top 3 receivers on the depth chart and still score 24. Baker proves he’s the long term qb answer. Sad defense again.

  90. Davenport Says:

Bowles trusted his leaky defense instead of his productive offenses chances of getting two yards and win it

He just refuses to see reality.

  91. Dewey Selmon Says:

Granola Bar Hayes cost us. Why didn’t they switch Zyon on Hopkins?

  92. Ufcguy32 Says:

Apparently the chiefs commit no holding penalties. Or virtually any at all in fact. Phantom call on wires. Again what is that 3 now this year. Bucs defense just can’t stop anyone when it matters. This is the 2nd time we go to ot and lose right away. It’s a problem at this point. The middle of the field wide open……all game. This team played hard but dammit we can’t do stupid sht like this

  93. Again Says:

Our defense was gassed. Should have gone with the hot O for 2. In OT should have called a time out to give the D a breather. Todd has 2 more TOs for his trophy wall.

  94. Sacker58 Says:

Can’t second guess bowles! If he had gone for two and not made it the haters will still be hating.
Difference in the game was Hopkins and our secondary!

  95. ElioT Says:

Bucs D played hard but couldn’t get off the freaking field on 3rd down or make any prime time plays.

  96. PassingThru Says:

Look, the TB defense blows. Why would anyone sane expect them be shoppers in OT? The Bucs had a chance to win, but Bowles didn’t want to go for 2.

  97. BucsBeast Says:

BOLWES put the game on HIS DEFENSE.
    HIS PLAY CALLING.
    HIS SCHEME.

    And once again….

    He couldn’t get the stop.

  98. Mike Johnson Says:

We played better and did not embarrass ourselves. Still a loss though. If our defense had played like that against the Falcons both times, We would not be in our present downfall.

  99. HC Grover Says:

We are right in the Bowles zone…a game under .500

  100. Ben the GA Buc Says:

McMillan was out for the game

  101. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Baker played good enough to win. But this us his second coin toss loss in OT this year.

  102. Buc king Says:

It’s time to fire toilet bowl..we need to be talking to bill billacheat..Jason get him on the phone

  103. Matthew DeVito Says:

I blame Bowles. I get hindsight is 20/20, but come on. Playing for the tie and going to overtime and leaving the game to be decided by a coin toss is insanity. His defense can’t stop anyone when they need to, much less the Chiefs. You’ve got a chance with the ball in your hand to take the lead and instead opt to go for the tie and rely on THAT defense? Inexcusable. And calling that time out with 30 seconds left was stupid. Turned out to not matter but was still stupid.

  104. Bucamania Says:

Gonna be more of the same next week.

Licht makes no moves and Baker is playing with practice squad WRs.

  105. Chuckys Bucs Says:

After watching that game Baker was the problem???

  106. Please Says:

Bowles should’ve gone for 2 because being overtly aggressive is the only way you can beat a rigged game. This one-sided officiating was garbage beyond belief. The fact that the NFL doesn’t have a video review official to help the on field refs call a perfect game tells you how fixed it all is. Non-darlings can still win, but they have to be perfect and irrationally aggressive.

  107. Mike C Says:

    False Start!!!!!

  108. Again Says:

There is a communication problem in Todd’s brain. It is evident he has CTE and is as coherent as 45 and 46 at this point.

  109. gotbbucs Says:

Death by 1000 paper cuts. Go for two dumby. What in the world makes him think this defense had a chance against Mahomes in OT?

  110. Ds Says:

Hayes is garbage, 3rd down defense is terrible also we can’t stop anyone rn

  111. Bucamania Says:

Bowles is a participation trophy coach

  112. Biggun Says:

Should have went for 2 points…. But I’m still proud of my BUCS this will carry them forward now clip the 49er’s GO BUCS!!!

  113. Tbbucs3 Says:

I dont mind the decision….rainey conditions passing from the 2 yard line is very hard.

The Bucs lost when they lost the coin toss

  114. Tbbucs3 Says:

    It’s a should’ve coulda woulda in hindsight

If the box didn’t get the two point conversion, many would be blasting Todd Bowles either way

  115. Saskbucs Says:

Fire Bowles. Refs call game for Chiefs again. NFL OT rules are garbage, need both teams getting a possession.

And yeah FIRE BOWLES! Will never win these games with his conservative approach. Have to go for it on 4th downs, maybe not the 4th and 16 but nice run play on 1st and 10 down 7 with 4 to play!

Nothing to lose, undefeated Chiefs and instead of grabbing your bag and going on 4th or going for 2 you stay soft and look what happens. Disgusted with this play not to lose crap for the 3rd straight year.

  116. Again Says:

Everyone needs to go to one buc tomorrow. Time to 1/6 that place

  117. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

When we punted on 4th & 4 at the 50 I knew we’d lose when KC went for it on their 40. Blowles is truly the gutless wonder

  118. Curse of Gruden Says:

But the Bucs covered the spread?
    Fire Bowles.

  119. TampaBayRudy Says:

I’m back on the Todd Bowles gotta go bandwagon. He puts out carbon copies of coaching seasons over and over and over. Face it: he’s not HC material. He needs to focus on putting together a defense and let someone else actually coach the team. Calling a TO with 30 seconds left on the goal line and 4 downs shows how nervous he is. Also, not going for two when your defense is gassed and holier than a Billy Graham revival is unconscionable. Wonder how long it’ll be before someone gets pissed enough to send him packing

  120. Buc4evr Says:

4th and 2 should have gone for it. Refs killed another drive by calling bogus face mask on Wirfs. Replay showed Wirfs didn’t even touch the defender’s face mask. Also bogus holding call on Mauch.

Mahomes looked like he was over the line on that short TD play, why didn’t Bowles at least throw the red flag?

  121. BucsBeast Says:

    Fire Bowles.
Can’t we put that on the ballot?

  122. WalkdaPlank Says:

    Baker called tails.

  123. Sketch813 Says:

Even with a succesful 2 pt conversion. Chiefs still had 3 timeouts with 27 seconds left. I dont think we stop them from a FG to win it. Not the way Hayes was playing. Geez this defense been a let down this year.

  124. Hodad Says:

We could’ve went for it on 4th down, instead Todd punted, and they scored the tying TD any way. Could’ve tried winning the game going for 2, nope. Todd is a chicken sh%t!! He plays to not lose, and always loses. Why would he think he could stop them in OT, when they just easily drove for score the last time they had the ball? Didn’t he see his defense was gassed? Doesn’t he know he has a short week till the 49ers? Had to try ending the game going for 2. Troy, and Buck knew it, how does Bowles not know it? I hope the Glazers are as fed up with Bowles as I am.

  125. DBS Says:

What the hell makes anyone think this team was going to pull off a 2 point conversion?? It wasn’t going to happen anymore than it was against the Lions last year. Keep dreaming.

  126. Let ‘em bake Says:

This team fights. If the secondary can somehow elevate, 10-7 realistic. We have the niners, then 7 very winnable games.

  127. Frank Pillow Says:

We have an almost good enough team and HC that coaches scared week after week. His clock mismanagement at the end was obvious to EVERYONE. Not going for 2 also called out. Punting on an earlier 4 & 2, etc. But with all of that, the 3rd down D might be historically terrible. Time to let go of Todd. On the flip side, what Liam is doing is very impressive.

  128. Again Says:

Licht my Bowles needs to go

  129. Gipper Says:

Mayfield’s fault. No Godwin, no Evans, no McMillan, not much pass protection but the usual ship of fools will hang this one on Mayfield. Can’t wait to hear from the boys in the marching band. MiddlingMunch where are you?

  130. Bosch Says:

Another Bowles OT collapse. FLUSH THIS BOWEL MOVEMENT!!!!

  131. MerryPlankster777 Says:

Perhaps the most glorious defeat I have seen. An epic or poems
    – Is this comment f\bad or good…. Ist good

  132. ModHairKen Says:

    Fire Bowles? Morons.

They just took the SB champs to OT on MNF with their two best players out.

Anyone calling for Bowles to be fired is a loser.

  133. #1bucsfan Says:

Why did Bowles not switch Zyon to Hopkins ? Hayes was getting burned by him all night. Again wide open players running across the middle of the field. Defense is terrible even with a pass rush

  134. BillyBucco Says:

You could tell from the Worthy barely out of bounds and Hayes 20 yds off him, that Hayes was toast this game and even after getting hurt, Bowles puts him back in.
He is an idiot plain and simple.
Our defense was gassed and Baker trots off the field like they just did the impossible to Freaking TIE.
    Fire Bowles immediately PLEASE.
    What an absolute WUSS.

  135. Again Says:

We had a beater chance going for 2 then waiting for OT. Offense was on fire. Coen for HC and Baker for the Hall

  136. Glenn Says:

Baker actually called tails. As soon as he said it, I knew that we were gonna lose that coin toss, just like the last overtime. History repeated itself. Tails never fails my @$$

  137. Jugheadfla Says:

Communication excuses incoming for middle of the field wide tf open all game?

  138. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Everyone should KTFD, the Bucs just took the best team in football to OT on the road. Losing sucks but this season is far from over girls.

  139. Again Says:

Take the phone away from ModHairKen.

  140. unbelievable Says:

He called tails (again) and lost (again), actually.

Too many big plays given up on defense and not plays on offense. Definitely had their chances to take the win but couldn’t do it.

Another over time loss without ever getting the ball.

  141. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Another example of Bowles f*$#ing up the game by not going for 2. Anyone with half a brain would know KC would win in OT. The defense is still pathetic and aside from McCollum, Bucs have no competent DBs. Winfield was horrible tonight. So much for the big contract. Hayes, Britt and JTS shouldn’t even be playing!! Hopefully, the Glazers will realize Bowles is not the right coach for this team. Season is done.

  142. Bucswin? Says:

All in all it was a one play game that the refs helped decide. When both commentators see the missed call but not the refs. That’s 3 loses the refs helped the other team. This league is a joke. Getting harder to watch. I tune in for the players not the refs to decide. They want parity now we know why. Fine if we get beat but the lack of integrity is pathetic. Love my team loathe this league, plus over time rules still not fixed. Sad really. I’m going to go meditate and stop watching the nfl.

  143. Ed Says:

The Chiefs just ran the ball right down the middle. Unfortunately our defensive line got pushed around and KC was just cutting through it without any big plays.

Bowles has to go. I think any offensive foot in the NFL knows how to kill the Bucs with throws to tight ends in the middle of the field.

I hate to say it because personally I don’t dislike Bowles but the league has figured out his defense and he doesn’t know how to adapt and run a modern defense.

Also Licht has to take some heat for not being able to have a good defensive line that can plug gaps. Hunt was just cutting them up 6-7 yards on the last 3 drives.

This is the classic team of underachieving talents that havnt been coached up to be fundamentally solid pros.

Looking like a 7-8 win team with this losing streak and mismanagement.

  144. Tampadeuce Says:

Not easy to beat another NFL team when the refs obviously want you to loose. There’s been more bs calls/ no calls this year than I can recall ever.

  145. FortMyersDave Says:

Bowles should have gone for 2. Granted, if the Bucs go ahead 25-24, there is a greater than 50% chance the Chiefs get down the field and score via the FG or TD as the D was gassed but playing for OT again on the road, smh….. This is another example of how Bowles’ style of coaching simply costs this team wins. If this team was coached by a better coach, the Bucs would be 7-3 and leading the division over a 0.500 ATL team. The Glazers should start looking at options for head coach in 2025 starting right away if they did not already.

Not sure why everyone hate Bowles. What’s about licht not drafting rusher. Trading. Or what about Godwin Evan’s not getting hurt. 2 pt conversion is 50/50 just like Ot
You should dislike ref. 2 blown calls 2 games. Love my Bucs.
I do think think whitehead is playing weak Winfield stepped up. No big play.

I thought Bucs played well, Chiefs have a plethora of weapons–too many and it is unfair. Baker is so scrappy–he is the ultimate Buccaneer. Bucs kept it a good game. Buccaneers are a decent team and we can build on it–like Liam Coen as OC, he works as does the run game. standout==Tykee Smith–really good draft pick. Barton is playing well enough. I know we lost but I enjoyed the game as my expectations were very low so I was pleasantly surprised. One more shout out–Cade Otton was good again!

If Licht listens to BA, Bowles isn’t going anywhere.
It’s ridiculous too because Bowles drafted Hayes-and it is his second year and he looks terrible. You can’t tell me Bowles gets a pass because he doesn’t have the personnel.
    He chose this personnel.
I have never wanted Dean back as much.
Of course that guy can’t stay healthy.
Bowles just craps out weak guys on defense man.
I have never wanted a HC fired as bad.

  149. BillyBucco Says:

Winfield missed an easy PD with a bucket for hands waiting on the pick.
You can’t say he stepped up.
Even David tried to strip the ball instead of tackling.
    The defense was GASSED Bowles.

  150. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

You people are wrong- The Bucs Did Embarass Themselves! You can not win with this DEI Coach Todd Bowles Coaching Scared. If he is not fired by the end of the year, the Bucs will have lost a Fan.

  151. Biggun Says:

Soooooo why did we not try to get DHop? Obviously he’s still got game and straight up if the Chiefs didn’t get him we could have won this game tonight! Should have went for 2 points and go down like a warrior not like a puddy cat!!! Go Bucs!!!

  152. JK Says:

Whole bunch of straight up.losers like to post here. Ain’t nothing over ya Clowns.

  153. Defense Rules Says:

ModHairKen … ‘Fire Bowles? Morons. They just took the SB champs to OT on MNF with their two best players out.’

This totally beat-up Bucs team took last year’s Super Bowl champion (and perfect 7-0 won-loss record this year) right down to the wire. Coming back in the last minute of regulation was an awesome feat. Going for 1 point to tie (and go to OT) versus 2 points to win was ever so slightly the ‘safer’ option (we had a 50% chance of winning the toss in OT versus roughly a 48% chance, at best, of making a 2 point conversion).

Would I have gone for 2 in that situation? Yes. Do I blame Bowles for not going for it? Not really. Chiefs have an excellent run defense, so the odds of converting the 2-point conversion try were probably somewhat less than the 48%. He made the ‘safer’ decision, tied the game, but we lost the toss. NFL OT rules are totally screwed up right now, and definitely favor the team winning the coin toss. THAT’S WRONG.

But should making the ‘safer decision’ be cause for firing a coach halfway through a season? Not hardly.

  154. Daniel Z Says:

To everyone whining about how poor our defense was on 3rd down, KC has the highest 3rd down completion % in the league (the Bucs are 2nd!).
