Mike Evans, Jamel Dean Watched Practice Today

October 18th, 2024

Friday injury report.

Just published is the second injury report for the week prior to the Crows-Bucs game Monday night. Tomorrow’s report likely will determine who plays in or watches Monday’s game.

Two big-name Bucs did not practice today. They were corner Jamel Dean (hamstring) and receiver Mike Evans (hamstring).

Yes, the AdventHamstring Center lived up to its name. Joe is sort of intrigued to see that.

Other Bucs who did not practice include tight end Payne Durham (calf) and receiver Kameron Johnson (ankle).

Players who did practice but were limited included center Graham Barton (hamstring), defensive lineman Will Gholston (knee), receiver Rakim Jarrett (knee) and running back Rachaad White (foot). Each, as Todd Bowles likes to say, “Did some things.”

Players on the injury report who fully participated include outside linebacker Chris Braswell (shoulder), defensive lineman Earnest Brown (ribs), defensive back Christian Izien (with the always troublesome elbow/groin injury), receiver Trey Palmer (concussion) and safety Antoine Winfield (foot).

If Evans can’t go or goes down, who comes in? Palmer or J-Mac? Will Palmer clear protocol?

  2. A Bucs Fan Says:

No way Dean plays. Evans will. Probably on snap count… maybe like the Chicago game in 2020? Or the saints game? 3 catches 5 yards 2 TD’s incoming

  3. unbelievable Says:

Need Evans healthy for the post season push, but you also need him out there because he commands so much attention and allows Chris and other guys to get open. Tough situation. Hammies are a b!tch

It’s a long season and TBBF thinks ME13 should sit if he’s not in top top shape….its a long season and we need him…

  5. Fred McNeil Says:

TBBF, if Evans (and Dean) weren’t a little banged up this time of year I’d be astonished. I think they will play if they doesn’t aggravate it. Dean and Evans can miss a practice or two and still play pretty well.

  6. Roylee Says:

We really need ME, Dean is hot trash anyway. Always getting beat.

  7. stpetebucfan Says:

Agree Fred and now perhaps Cobra or some other truly informed football player can tell us how much ME13 will have to “baby”it.

It seems intuitively true that making sharp cuts and sudden stop would challenge it more than a straight run down the field.

If ME can do it I’d love to see him make some gentle short patterns to both get the Ravens attention and perhaps fool them into thinking he can’t run. And then early in the game take a deep shot with ME13 on a simple go route. He doesn’t have to win a foot race, just get open enough to outmuscle the defender. That might shake up the Ravens D a bit and make them play honest D.

  8. Dave Pear Says:

Was Jamel watching from on his azz? Usually he plays his games that way. He’s become more of a fall down artist than Darden was.

  9. Bucswin! Says:

My elbow/groin hurts too. Go BUCS!

  10. Fred Says:

    Dean is very overrated.

  11. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    Go get Maxx Crosby.

  12. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

St. Pete…..I agree. Have to convince the safety that there’s a possibility that Evans will go deep. That helps Godwin and whichever running back is playing.
